“We are repeat bookers with Monee, because Penelope always seems content during her stays! She takes very good care of Penelope and follows all of the instructions I give her to a T (Penelope is on a special diet and food, in addition to being a reactive dog).”

“I have no complaints. I needed someone last minute and Zyiana and her fiancée came through. They were responsive, updated me with pictures and made sure Paris was comfortable in their home. This was her first time away so thank you for making her experience special.”

“Jesenia was very helpful and understanding about our request to meet & greet in advance of the stay, and re: changes/extensions of our schedule. She was attentive to our two dogs and sent pictures of them settled on the couch, and having fun in the dog park. Her own dog is extremely cute and friendly, and got along great with our dogs. Jesenia was also very accessible by cell/text throughout the stay, promptly returning calls and messages as needed. We would recommend her, and hope we will be able to use her again.”

“Daja was phenomenal with my pup Samson! Daja was very easy to coordinate with and was super communicative about how Samson was doing. My pup left with a smile on his face, so I will be rebooking with Daja in the future!!”

“I needed a last-minute dog sitter, and Emelie was everything I could have asked for and more! She was extremely responsive, flexible, and communicative! I greatly appreciated that she kept me updated with pictures and texts during my trip. Will definitely book with Emelie again!”

“Gregory was very responsive to my last minute request for boarding. My dog is little and anxious, and I was not sure how she would do with another dog as large as Koda, Gregory’s dog. But Koda turned out to be very well trained and had a lovely calm demeanor. Maya was very comfortable and I will definitely be using Gregory again!”

“Todd did a wonderful job with Cooper! We so appreciated his availability for a last minute family emergency. Todd took Cooper for some nice long walks and he came back happy and tired, which is great for a lab! I recommend Todd and will definitely use his services again.”

About: I have had cats for over 20 years. My cat passed two years ago. i kept my daughters lab for 6 months a year for several years. I even took him to work with me! I have six grandchildren that have 4 dogs. I have been watching their dogs for the last 5 years. They travel a lot so I stay at their home and take care of their 4 dogs and pig. I am retired and live by myself. I will be able to spend all day with your furry friends and give them unlimited love. I will be available by text or phone call if you want to check In at anytime. I am happy to send pictures as well I have a back yard and I live on a quiet street so I would be able to take your dog for plenty of walks. I am very familiar with litter box’s and how to take care of your cats as well
“Christin was great with Santos! He seemed so happy to be there. It was apparent that she is a natural dog lover who appreciates different canine personalities. She cared for him during the most trying times of doing so with any dog, involving historic cold weather. And went above and beyond the duty of just 'watching him'. Communication was great and I will not hesitate to use her again”

“Yuka is terrific! Koda had a great time staying with her and her boys. We felt so comfortable leaving her with them, knowing she was getting plenty of love, attention and care! We highly recommend Yuka and will reach out to her again in the future.”

“Thank you for taking care of Taro! Devon and Family made sure that Taro felt like home. Every picture they shared reflected how comfortable and happy Taro was. Happy to have found a great sitter close to Home!!!”

“Mike was great with our dog Chief. Chief stayed st his house and played in the big backyard. Mike sent me pictures and texts through out the stay to let me know our dog was well cared for. Highly recommend. We have already booked him again!”

“Mary was awesome! She and her family loved my dog as if she were their own dog. She sent plenty of updates and photos. It felt so good to know my dog was well taken care of while we were away.”

“Melanie was amazing!! I really appreciated that she asked lots of questions about my two boys because it gives me peace of mind that their doggy sitter will take the best care of them. Which was actually what happened! She sent lots of photos of updates during the stay. Her dog Pippa was also so sweet and got along great with Mr and Captain. We had a change of plans at the end and Melanie was so helpful in accommodating us. Would definitely recommend her to everyone!”

“Maryori is a sweetheart! She took excellent care of Marley. I can tell he had a great time, she kept me informed of Marley's daily. Pictures & videos. Thank you very much Maryori!!!!”

“My first time leaving Maui with anyone but family, and my longest trip away from him! Every worry I had about that was put at ease right away. Jacob took great care of him and I couldn’t be happier.”

“Nicole was a great surrogate mom for chaos while we went away for the weekend. She sent pictures and updates regularly, and tried lots of solutions to get him to eat when he wasn't in the mood. We'd definitely leave our old dog with her again!”

Jennifer has been absolutely amazing with my 2yr old rescue. He’s a nervous little guy and he has done really well staying in her home. She consistently updates me with how he’s doing and pictures. She and her family have been so loving. I can’t recommend her enough.

We highly recommend Jeffrey! We left our spoiled Bernedoodles with him while we were away for 2 weeks, and his daily photos and updates were amazing! We could absolutely see that they were comfortable and very well cared for during their stay. Jeffrey’s dog, Lily is the sweetest, and I know they are going to miss her! We will definitely use Jeffrey’s services again for future trips!

I needed a backup sitter for the holiday weekend because I could not reach my primary sitter. I came across Jackie’s profile and instantly felt at ease. Jackie was very accommodating, agreeing to a meet-and-greet before booking, and she even picked up and dropped off my pup! Javier came home nice and tired, and I think he enjoyed the time away from his new puppy brother. Thanks, Jackie!

We couldn't be happier with the care our dogs received while we were on vacation! Bella was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared for our dogs as if they were her own. It gave us such peace of mind knowing our dogs in great hands. We are so grateful. We would absolutely recommend Bella to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter, and we'll definitely be booking with her again! Thank you for doing such a wonderful job! 🐾

Greatly appreciate Veronica for taking care of our big oaf of a dog. This is the first time we have had to leave him and so all of the updates, photos and responses to questions were really reassuring during our time away. His needs were met and he also seemed to benefit a lot from socializing with the other dogs at her place.

Lizzy took such great care of our big, energetic pups. She arranged a meet and greet beforehand so she could meet the dogs and they could be introduced to her home. Her fenced in back yard is every dog’s dream! She sent plenty of pictures and updates to ease our minds while we were away. Would definitely recommend Lizzy to anyone who’s looking for a home-like environment for their pups while they travel.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
