“Lynda took very good care of my two dogs who can be a handful, especially one of them. She kept me informed and I could see that they were comfortable and made themselves at home by taking over the sofa as their spot.”

“Theo obviously enjoyed his time with Hollie and Jovi. Daily pics were sent and communication was excellent. I had no worries/concerns having him there. Excellent sitter and would not hesitate to use again”
“Heather had her hands full with my 7 month old lab/husky puppy. She accepted the challenge and took great care of Meadow. I appreciated the updates and pictures. Would highly recommend Heather as a pet sitter.”

“I rarely write reviews, but I was compelled to leave one this time as I had a phenomenal experience with Roseanna. She genuinely cares about the animals she takes care of, and I felt confident my dogs were in a safe and happy place under her supervision. She constantly provided pictures and updates, and her house has a big backyard, which is a big plus. Highly recommend her, and I will definitely ask for her care again in the future!”

“Daja was phenomenal with my pup Samson! Daja was very easy to coordinate with and was super communicative about how Samson was doing. My pup left with a smile on his face, so I will be rebooking with Daja in the future!!”

“Laura was amazing. Super attentive and she took great care of our anxious dog. Great communication and wonderful updates during our pet's stay. Would highly recommend her services, and I will definitely be a repeat customer :)”

“Bean loved Kerry and so did I! She sent me the sweetest updates and was flexible with me when I had unforeseen circumstances and needed to adjust pickup timing. She was also patient with bean when she became fussy, ‘spicy bean’ can be a handful so I really appreciated that!”

“I just adopted my dog a month ago and this was my first time leaving him since I brought him home. Until now we hadn’t been apart more than a day while I’m at work. I was super super nervous and nearly cried when I left him, but Yuhan made the process easy and positive. She sent me pictures of him every other day and gave me tons of updates on how he was doing. He got to play with a bunch of other dogs and looked super happy in all the pictures she sent me. I’m way more comfortable leaving him now and I’ll definitely be looking to rebook with Yuhan again. He got to go on a vacation of his own and seemed to have tons of fun while in her care.”

“Very friendly and sent tons of pictures. Our little guy seemed like he had a great time and came home completely exhausted. Couldn't ask for more. Thanks!”

“Jeannie is great with my doberman Arrow. She is very familiar with the breed, but is great with any breed. When I go away, I do not worry about my dog at all. Arrow loves going there, and is very comfortable with Jeannie and her family. She is more patient with my dog than I am, and that is due to her experience with dogs. I know Arrow will be safe and taken care of. I am grateful for Rover and for Jeannie, I would not leave him with anyone else!”
“Marlene was very communicative and sent me a lot of pictures of Zeek while she was in his care. He seemed very happy to be with her. Thank you for keeping my baby safe and happy!”

“Jessica was so so wonderful with our dog! She was extremely responsive and kept us up to date with photos and videos everyday we were away. I knew he was very well taken care of and it allowed us to fully enjoy our time away. Thank you again Jessica!!”

“Kiara is amazing! Always giving picture/video updates and really made sure to love on our dog! Wasn't quite sure if our dog would want to come home as it seemed she was having so much fun! Definitely going to be adding Kiara to the top of our dog sitter list in the future!”

“Mary’s very communicative and seemed really nice. I received pictures of Jaxx daily and he seemed to have a good time staying with her. I definitely recommend and will be asking her to watch Jaxx in the future.”

“Dana is great! Regular messages through the Rover app throughout the stay, w/pics. My dog does not get a lot of socialization so her having a dog of her own was a huge plus for me. Will definitely book with Dana again. I can't recommend her enough.”

“This is the third time Franklin has stayed with Sean and Sam, and I couldn’t be happier. I know he’ll be welll taken care of and have buddies to hang with. When they say they love Franklin, I know they mean. So grateful to have a great place to send my best guy.”

“Could not have been more wonderful. I had a pretty last minute boarding request for Mariia - my corgi was going to stay with a family member who turned out to not be feeling well enough to take care of him. I feel so lucky that he spent the time with Mariia. She sent updates and photos daily and he was clearly in love with her! Thank you Mariia!!”

“Madison had great communication before and during the visit. She was very flexible and made our lives much easier with her helpfulness. Our dog had a very enjoyable visit and loved playing in their fenced in yard! Highly recommend, we will be back for the future!”

“We are forever grateful for Shamira. Our dogs really enjoyed being with her and her family. She sent lots of pictures and updates about the dogs throughout their stay. They returned happy and very playful. We will definitely use her services again :)”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Fort Washington
I had such a great experience boarding my dog with her. It's hard to leave your dog with someone else, but she made the whole process easy and stress-free. You can tell she genuinely loves dogs and enjoys caring for them. When I picked Spoofer up, she was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. That meant everything to me. I never worried while I was away because I knew she was in good hands. If you're looking for someone who is dependable, caring, and will treat your dog with kindness and attention, I highly recommend her. I'll definitely be boarding my dog with her again!
Katia took Bear in last minute and we are so grateful to her. She took such great care of Bear. She sent us photos and videos showing him playing, going on walks, cuddling and just having an awesome time! Thank you again for helping us in a pinch but moreover for treating Bear with such loving care!

Hiring Dana to dogsit Buster was the best decision. We usually board him at the vet, but wanted a change so that he would have a more social, active and fun experience. Dana was thoughtful, caring, communicative and flexible throughout the entire process (from booking to pickup). She took excellent care of Buster with specific attention to our requests. She sent us many wonderful photos of his daily activities, which included several nature and park walks. Buster had his own little vacation exploring new places while we enjoyed ours in complete peace of mind. We happily give Dana the highest praise and rating with respect to our experience with her. She is a true animal lover and a nice person.

Stephany was awesome! Very communicative, great handler, and my dog loved her. She took my Nala on big walks, let her out on a leash in the yard, and was attentive to her, sent me multiple pictures and videos, and I can tell my dog wants to go back. Not to mention, she took my booking request on a days notice and I went from requesting to drop off in less than 24 hours. Perfectly reasonable price, will definitely be rebooking in the future!!!

Our dog Halle had a wonderful stay with Brittany! She sent us pics and updates and we could tell that Halle was getting lots of walks, pets and love. Halle is dog-reactive and Brittany took great care handling her. It was so nice to return from vacation to a very happy dog. We would be delighted to have Brittany watch Halle for us again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
