“Melanie was able to watch my dog Sophia on fairly short notice when I had to go out of town. She was flexible and responsive. Sophia had a great time with her dog Pippa and it seemed like she was sad to leave so I know she was in great care.”

“I have no complaints. I needed someone last minute and Zyiana and her fiancée came through. They were responsive, updated me with pictures and made sure Paris was comfortable in their home. This was her first time away so thank you for making her experience special.”

“Alexandra and family are always wonderful to my baby boy! But this time they go above and beyond! We left for a week. And unfortunately, he ran out of food. Alexandra and family cooked him homemade food, like I did with him! Just exceptional!!!”

“Kristin was amazing and our boy Sherman had the best time with her and her family. She was extremely communicative and attentive, and provided so many photos of our little guy throughout the weekend so we didn’t have to worry about him. It’s hard leaving your pup with someone new and she made it as easy as it could be.”

“My girls had the best time they looked at home I was so worried about leaving them because I had never left them before but my heart was at peace with all the videos and pictures I received they were loved on and truly cared for and they will be returning. Ps THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING GOOD CARE OF MY GIRLS 💕”

“Christina was great! She took great care of our dog and was communicative and responsive. She was very flexible with drop off and pickup and was great. We’d definitely go back”

“I booked Kathleen for an overnight stay, and even though my dog was very nervous, she handled everything with so much patience and care. From the moment I dropped him off, she went above and beyond to help him feel safe and comfortable. She kept him calm, gave him space when he needed it, and reassured him throughout the night. By the time I picked him up the next day, it was clear she had truly cared for him like he was her own. I really appreciated the extra effort she put into easing his anxiety. I highly recommend Kathleen to anyone with a dog who may be shy, anxious, or slow to warm up. She is kind, attentive, and genuinely loves what she does. I will definitely book with her again!”

“We had such a great experience with Yulia and WILL absolutely be booking again! She took care of our dogs on very short notice which we really appreciated. The questionnaire before drop off was one of the most thorough I have ever seen on Rover and it made me feel confident that she really wanted to get to know our dogs and their routines. Drop off was incredibly easy and throughout their stay she sent great updates and stayed in constant communication. Most importantly, our dogs looked like they had an amazing time and came home happy and well cared for. Highly recommend! Will 100% rebook soon for our next trip!”
“Kamoy was amazing with Sophie. She stayed in communication and made sure Sophie felt safe and comfortable. 10/10. Sophie even hugged her goodbye! I would absolutely book Kamoy again for doggy care. I highly recommend.”

“Chazz is great! Zelda is happy and calm when I pick her up, and my mind is at ease knowing that she’s being taken care of by someone that’s kind, friendly and professional.”

“Iggy, had a great time with Joseph. Joseph sent pictures of Iggy interacting with other dogs in his stay. I will comeback and feel lots of trust with Joseph's care.”

“Kerry took excellent care of our shy rescue pup, Samson. She was very communicative and provided lots of photos. Samson will be hanging out with Kerry again soon!”

“Hiring Dana to dogsit Buster was the best decision. We usually board him at the vet, but wanted a change so that he would have a more social, active and fun experience. Dana was thoughtful, caring, communicative and flexible throughout the entire process (from booking to pickup). She took excellent care of Buster with specific attention to our requests. She sent us many wonderful photos of his daily activities, which included several nature and park walks. Buster had his own little vacation exploring new places while we enjoyed ours in complete peace of mind. We happily give Dana the highest praise and rating with respect to our experience with her. She is a true animal lover and a nice person.”

“I absolutely love this auntie Janet.... she was amazing attentive with everything.... she also sends pictures and updates... the best part is she only sits your dog when they’re staying at here house... I would definitely Recommend her”

“Nicolle was amazing with our new puppy! We have only had her for 2 weeks, so we were nervous about leaving her with a sitter, but Nicolle put us at ease. She was prompt in her responses both prior to the booking and during the booking and sent photos. Our pup came back happy and well cared for”

“Vanessa took care of my dog buddy as if he was her own. Buddy had a blast playing with her boys and it was so reassuring to know that she and her family cared for him so well. Thank you!”

“Emeline saved my life. She’s was so sweet to my Titan. Gave us constant updates with pictures. She even was flexible with my flight being delayed. I can’t thank her enough. She’s apart of the family now.”

“Kathy was super friendly and easy to work with, and she was AMAZING with my scared little chihuahua. She was gentle and patient, but also confident enough to help him be confident too. She was super communicative, and sent lots of pics and videos. I felt so much better on my trip, knowing that my little guy was safe and eating and doing all his business AND getting lots of pats and snuggles!!! I would 100% recommend Kathy to anyone, especially for nervous dogs (and people!). I think it was actually good for my dog to be around her dogs for a few days. He came back happy, relaxed, and more confident than ever! When I picked him up, it almost seemed like he wanted to stay!!!!!! If you're considering Kathy to board your dog (or provide any other service!), don't hesitate! She's the best!!”

Lilly and her sister did a great job taking care of Presley! Presley is very energetic and needs a lot of attention, and they did a great job! They also sent me pictures and provided updates on how she was doing. I recommend them if you need someone to sit for you!

Sabrina was incredibly attentive and caring with my pups. She was responsive, communicated well, and shared several updates throughout the day, which gave me great peace of mind. My pups seemed comfortable and relaxed with her, and they returned home calm and happy. I would definitely book with Sabrina again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter.

Gigi had a wonderful week at jacqueline's home. She adapted with her new doggie sitter immediately (Gigi is very shy) but took to Jacqueline immediately. Jacqueline has a easy, laid-back approach with Gigi - loving, attentive, and playful. Jacqueline kept in contact with me (daily) and sent me active videos of Gigi enjoying herself. Gigi's a little girl but she loves being outside. Jacqueline has a fence that was just right for Gigi. I highly recommend Jacqueline. Gigi was definitely spoiled and loved the entire week!
Mary was an incredible host! I'm a returning pet guest and could not recommend Mary more! Mary is always very attentive and frequently updates. My dog could not have been more excited to see Mary when we dropped her off (this is our third time). 10/10 will contact Mary first for future sittings

I highly recommend Maria for pet sitting! She took care of my 5 month old Golden Retriever puppy over the Fourth of July weekend and did an awesome job and he seemed very comfortable with her and her partner. She also sent videos of him a few times while I was away. I highly recommend her!

Jennifer has been absolutely amazing with my 2yr old rescue. He’s a nervous little guy and he has done really well staying in her home. She consistently updates me with how he’s doing and pictures. She and her family have been so loving. I can’t recommend her enough.

We were suddenly without a sitter for Syrsa, and Ryan was able to jump in at short notice. Ryan was calm and relaxed with our big and slightly nervous dog, amazing with communication, and sent us updates and pictures. We are recommending Ryan to everyone and will obviously be back.

We had such a wonderful experience leaving our dog in Regina's care. From the very beginning, she was incredibly welcoming and made both us and our dog feel completely comfortable. The handoff process was seamless and stress-free, and it was clear right away that our dog settled in nicely with her. Throughout the stay, Regina was kind, thoughtful, and consistently kept us updated on how he was doing. We especially appreciated all the photos and messages she sent — seeing him happily playing, going on hikes in the parks, and enjoying himself gave us so much peace of mind. It was obvious that she genuinely cared about his well-being and treated him with so much attention and affection. Leaving your pet with someone else can be difficult, but Regina made us feel completely at ease the entire time. We are truly grateful for the care she provided. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter, and we will definitely be using her again in the future.

Estefania & Francisco did such a wonderful job watching our one year old dog Ben during his first ever weekend at a sitter’s. They were very responsive, sent lots of updates and pictures, and did an amazing job making both us and Ben feel at ease. We will definitely be using them again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
