“Sarah is detail oriented, communicative, and has an intuitive approach to caring for pets (in my case, cats). I have one social and one fearful cat, and after just three short visits she was already beginning to win over the fearful one. She sent photos during every visit and provided meaningful updates. I so appreciate her attentiveness and making both my cats and me feel comfortable while in separate places. Thank you Sarah!”

“Nikki is our wild puppy’s new BFF. She takes our wacky, overboard instructions in stride, is a calming presence for our busy pup, and is a wonderful communicator before, durning and after her visits. Can’t recommend her highly enough.”

“Danielle is very reliable and kept us in the loop while we were away with very detailed reports. We missed our flight and needed to extend the care for our boys another day. Danielle agreed to the extra visit without hesitation and that was one less thing for us to worry about so we could focus on getting home”

About: What sets me apart is my calm, patient, and attentive approach to pet care. I focus on creating a safe, stress-free environment for pets while following their routines closely. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, including puppies who need consistency and training reinforcement as well as senior pets who require gentler care, patience, and extra attention. I also make sure pet owners feel connected by providing regular updates, photos, and clear communication throughout each visit. I currently have a flexible schedule and am fully available during the summer, which allows me to provide reliable and consistent pet care throughout the week. I am able to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, and I am happy to work around your pet’s routine. I treat every pet like family and prioritize communication, providing regular updates, photos, and messages so you always feel connected and confident in their care. I provide pet care exclusively through walks and drop-in visits, allowing pets to remain comfortable in their own home and familiar environment. During each visit, I follow all instructions closely, including feeding, refreshing water, litter box care (for cats), and any specific routines or medications. For dog walks, I prioritize safety at all times by using secure leashing, paying close attention to surroundings, and making sure your pet gets appropriate exercise based on their energy level and needs. For drop-in visits, I focus on providing attentive care, companionship, and maintaining your pet’s normal routine while you’re away. I treat every home with respect, ensuring it is left clean, secure, and exactly as I found it. I also provide consistent updates with photos and messages so you always feel informed and connected to your pet. My goal is to give your pet reliable, safe, and stress-free care while giving you complete peace of mind.
“Haeley was wonderful! Communicative, responsive, and great with our cat. (I think he liked her better than he likes us!) We will absolutely ask her to come back next time!”

“Kendra recently watched our two kitties (with night and day personalities) for the holidays. She was once again very attentive to each of their special needs and provided them with plenty of attention while we were away. It gave us a lot of comfort know they were well looked after!”

About: As a devoted pet parent to my own dog, Chevy, I understand how important it is to ensure your furry friend is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away. Whether your pup needs a fun walk, playtime, or some extra love and attention, I provide reliable and personalized care tailored to their needs. With a love for all breeds and a keen understanding of pet behavior, I strive to make each walk or visit enjoyable and stress-free. I’m currently taking a break from the corporate world so have a flexible schedule and time to care for your pets when you aren’t available. I am available for long walks around the neighborhood or to visit with your pet in your home for potty breaks, feeding and companionship. This is up to you and your pets needs.
“Deeann showed up promptly for our initial meet-and-greet, showed a great deal of respect for our home and cats, asked excellent and on-point questions and took notes for the care of our cats. She communicated promptly, and is very nice. She showed up right on time for our first scheduled visit, only to discover I had left the wrong key! She worked wit me to try to find a solution but none was forthcoming. Unfortunately I had to cut my trip short and return. I have every confidence she would would have been great and would recommend her; and, when I need a sitter in the future, I'll reach out to her first.”

“Marketa did an excellent job! I was very relaxed leaving my cat in her hands while I way away. She sent a report and pictures after every visit. Would definitely book with her in the future!”

About: I’ve loved and been around animals since childhood. Growing up, my family had both cats and dogs. As an adult, I now have 2 cats of my own. I’m very passionate about human-animal connection. I am currently a graduate student taking night classes two days a week. This is something I’m hoping to fill my spare time with :) I view and treat animals with the same respect as I do people. Pets need not only the necessities, but a high level of emotional attention.
“Lucy is not only an exceptional caretaker but knowledgeable, reliable, efficient and devoted. She is available to work around my schedule on short notice. She demonstrates enormous love and compassion for all animals.”

About: I am looking forward to hosting dogs in my house. I have a 4 year old dog I recently adopted. He enjoys having other dogs come to visit! I'm a teacher so I am home weeknights and weekends to care for and play with your dogs. Your dog can sleep in my room or can be crated if that is preferred. I am also excited to explore my new neighborhood with dog walks in the evenings. I have recently moved to a new home that has a small front yard. There are trails nearby that I can use for dog walks.
“Ryan has once again been a superior minder of my aging and rather needy cat Sheba. I appreciate the sense of security I had, particularly with the forecast of possible serious winter weather arriving in my absence. Thank you Ryan!”

About: As an experienced dog owner and longtime shelter volunteer, I genuinely love working with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. I get super excited about active outdoor time like hiking, but what I enjoy most is giving dogs real mental stimulation through training while they're with me. Whether it's helping a puppy master basic manners, keeping an adult dog sharp, or just teaching fun new tricks, keeping their brains busy is the secret to a happy, well-behaved pet. I'd love to help your pup burn off energy, learn a few things, and come home totally tired and content! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home, so there is always someone at home to provide supervision, companionship, and care. My flexible schedule allows me to take dogs out for walks, potty breaks, playtime, or attention throughout the day rather than leaving them alone for long periods. Because I am home regularly, I can also adapt to each dog’s needs, whether they prefer a consistent routine, extra exercise, medication schedules, or more frequent bathroom breaks. My goal is to make sure every dog feels comfortable, cared for, and part of a calm, reliable environment. I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where dogs can feel at home. I live in a 1200 sq ft apartment with a dog park downstairs, which is great for walks, potty breaks, and exercise. I have 1 dog and no children, my dog is very friendly with all dogs. I understand every dog and household has different routines, rules, and comfort levels, so I always do my best to accommodate each client’s needs. I am flexible with crate use, furniture rules, feeding schedules, exercise preferences, and any special instructions you provide. Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I focus on safety, consistency, and making sure your dog feels secure, happy, and well cared for.

“We had a great experience with Dana! He is friendly and approachable. I appreciated the photos and daily updates, which always included a fun story. Our cat is shy, and he felt very comfortable around Dana. We will book him again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wyndmoor
Jacqueline took excellent care of our geriatric cat for the week. She gave him food and medicine, thoroughly checked and cleaned his litter boxes, and most importantly gave him lots of treats and love. She communicated updates proactively and left the house exactly as we left it. We would happily have her cat sit again.

Amazing dog sitter. She went above and beyond for my two dogs. She provided walks and love to both of them while I was away. She’s incredibly knowledgeable about dogs and their health. She was so caring and took time to help my bernadoodle with his ear infection. 10/10 highly recommended!!

Ally was the perfect sitter for our anxious dog. She gave him lots of attention and love so he relaxed and had a great time. I was nervous because we hadn’t used Rover before, but this was a great experience and will definitely use it again (with Ally of course!).

Natalie was absolutely wonderful! My original pet care fell through last minute and I was able to book Natalie’s services the day we were leaving for our trip. She was quick with responses, very easy to communicate with, and took great care of my boys. Would definitely book her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
