“My weird cats and I adore Allie. I volunteered at a couple of shelters / rescues and truly have some quirky cats, but Allie acted like they were as normal as they come. She was not fazed by their individual eating preferences, oral meds, and sometimes cranky attitudes. Allie also sent daily updates with photos and I have not felt this at ease traveling in a very long time. I'm sure Allie is excellent with dogs, but if you are looking for someone who is amazing with cats, this is your sitter!”
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and have experience with all kinds of personalities, including anxious, reactive, and “misbehaved” dogs. I know how to stay calm in stressful situations and understand that patience and consistency are important, especially with dogs that have trauma or anxiety. I’m not afraid of big dogs or dogs that pull, and I know how to safely handle and walk strong pullers. I’m very attentive to body language and behavior, and I always make sure dogs feel comfortable, safe, and respected. I’m reliable, patient, and comfortable following specific routines, feeding schedules, and care instructions to make sure every dog gets the attention and care they need. I’m very lenient with my time and have a pretty flexible schedule, so I can easily squeeze in a walk or babysitting whenever needed. I’m very good at giving animals the space they need while still supervising them carefully, and I’m also great at maintaining routines to help them feel comfortable and cared for. I’ll also follow any rules or instructions necessary for each specific animal to make sure they receive the best care possible.

Daniel is a Cat Whisperer! I have not left my cats since they were born in my home over 5 years ago. I had no idea if they would even eat while I was away? Daniel's vibe is one of peace and compassion and he had matters well in hand! Even Mercy showed great progress; Daniel helped her overcome her inherent anxiety.
Allie was amazing with our 9 year old dog!!! We always get a little nervous having a new sitter watch our 95 lbs American bulldog mix since he can be a handful at times, but once they met we knew he’d be in good hands. Allie was communicative, gave lots of photos and updates, and followed our instructions with ease!! Will definitely be reaching out again for future visits :)
Tiffany’s very caring. I’m handicapped with a spinal cord injury. I needed someone’s help to take care of my puppy, and take him on walks. She helped to make sure, my puppy had clean puppy pads/water/food/attention. She was such a wonderful person to work with. Absolutely!!👍🏻 I recommend Tiffany to everyone!!! Amanda is so great with animals. We have an extremely anxious cat that most other sitters never see, but came out for pets with her! Had she not taken pictures of the event, we probably wouldn't have believed it happened. She's responsible and accountable and we will definitely book Amanda again in the future.
Hadiya is wonderful! It's difficult to find someone you can trust with your fur babies and your home. As soon as we met Hadiya, we knew she was the right person. We have two shy kittens (other cat sitters had taken care of them for weeks at a time and never even saw them). But they warmed up to Hadiya almost instantly! We couldn't believe it. Hadiya is detailed oriented, reliable, thorough, and so sweet with our cats. She took the time to build their trust AND got all the care tasks done too. We can't recommend her enough.
Lia was wonderful!! I’ve never used Rover before and I’m grateful she made it an awesome first experience. She initiated a meet and greet before our trip which made it super easy to get her a key and show her through everything she needed to know to watch after the cats. While we were away, she proactively sent lots of pictures and updates which I loved. She also quickly responded to any questions or requests I had. On top of taking great care of the cats, she even watered our plant. I could tell through the pictures just how comfortable the cats were with her which gave me peace of mind while being away. Overall, 10/10 and we are so glad we had Lia looking after Pepper and Periwinkle!!

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
