“So glad to have found Lucy. The pictures made me feel so much better while I was away. My one cat can be very hesitant with new people so to see him eating and coming for attention really shows her caring talent.”

“Appreciated the help checking in on our pups with a last-minute booking! Isaiah was patient and understanding with us and our anxious pups while we navigated this first time Rover experience.”

“Katherine was friendly and easy to communicate with. She was great with our dog and did everything as we requested. I highly recommend Katherine and will be happy to use her services again!”

About: Hi, my name’s Matt and I have been taking care of various kinds of animals since I was 12. Fish, guinea pigs, hamsters, bearded dragons, dogs, and cats. You name it we’ve most likely had it. I’ll make sure your animals are loved for and have a blast while you’re gone. I can work with young puppies and senior dogs as well. Please reach out to me to inquire about availability and to set up a meet and greet. I will also send lots of pictures and updates. I currently have availability from Friday to Sunday. I can be available by Friday afternoons if given at least a weeks notice and can stay until Sunday night or early Monday morning. I currently have two cats and a dog. Nani is my dog and she has a fence for the backyard but I can also take her out for walks or out on a leash if needed. I feed her once a day with dry and wet food. I also give her baths and clean up her poop in the yard. The two cats are indoor cats and I play with them, clean their litter boxes, change their water, and feed them.
“I was kept updated & received pictures of my senior girl when while we were away for 12 hours. She was happy & content. Becky & Christian are great to deal with!”

“Barb is the greatest and the best! We are always happy when she has an opening for us. The dog is calm and relaxed, and we get to see the walks she took while we were gone! Barb is flexible and patient with the dog and with us. Thanks, Barb!”

“So glad we found Rachel! Ace warmed up to her right away, and he was SO excited when I got home the day of her first drop-in…I swear he was trying to tell me he had a friend over 😂. Rachel is a great communicator and so sweet! Highly recommend!”

About: My name is Christian. I am kind, gentle, and fun loving. I will walk, run, exercise, and play fetch with your dog and care for him/her as if he/she were one of my own. I will walk any dog, any size, age, or breed. I’ve always enjoyed dogs a lot. Your dogs will have such a fun time they won’t want to leave. I am available seven days a week rain or shine and my hours are flexible. No matter what, you can count on me to walk your dog. If you require any special requests just let me know and I will see what I can do. If you need your pet washed I can do that too. I look forward to walking your dog!
“My weird cats and I adore Allie. I volunteered at a couple of shelters / rescues and truly have some quirky cats, but Allie acted like they were as normal as they come. She was not fazed by their individual eating preferences, oral meds, and sometimes cranky attitudes. Allie also sent daily updates with photos and I have not felt this at ease traveling in a very long time. I'm sure Allie is excellent with dogs, but if you are looking for someone who is amazing with cats, this is your sitter!”

“Keri did an excellent job making sure our cats were happy while we were away! She is kind, thorough, and very communicative, as well as great with animals. Highly recommend booking with her!”

About: Growing up with dogs has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Almost 50 and a Red Irish Setter, two Labradors, a Beagle mix, a Pitbull, and currently a Staffordshire Bull Terrier have all claimed a piece of my heart. As a child, I was a neighborhood pet sitter for a dog and a cat that lived nearby. More recently, I pet-sitted a trio of dogs for a neighbor, and had multiple overnight week-long stays with a former co-worker. I'm a freelance photographer with a very flexible schedule and look forward to taking care of more neighborhood pets. Whether you need a drop-in visit or a walker, no matter the weather, I'd like to be there for your furry friend As a freelance photographer, my schedule is very flexible. I can pick up and go as needed. I walk my dog in the morning, afternoon, and evening each day. I don't have children, so that leaves plenty of time to care for my dog and others. I live in a walkable neighborhood with sidewalks, have a big yard for potty breaks, and am close to the paved path and wooded trails of Pennypack Park for more adventurous excursions. I can accommodate dogs with personality quirks, since my dog has a few. Whether you need a pop-in visit, a walk in your neighborhood, or a trip to the park, I'm happy to oblige. My car has a seat cover, and dog passengers can be buckled in for safety. I love taking pictures, so you can expect updates on how your pet is doing.

Special arrangements can be made for occational weekend visits or other hours with existing clients on a case by case basis if I am available. “I have both an indoor cat and an outdoor stray that I care for and Paige did a fantastic job taking care of both of them while I was away for a week. She even managed to get my timid cat to trust her, which is no small feat. I can absolutely recommend her for your pet sitting needs.”

About: Hi there! I’m a registered nurse who genuinely loves animals and feels so lucky to be able to care for them. Beyond just loving them, I bring real experience — I’ve personally cared for many different types of dogs, including those with behavioral challenges, so I’m always patient, attentive, and focused on safety. As a nurse, being responsible, detail-oriented, and trustworthy comes naturally to me, and I will always make sure to follow your instructions carefully and treat your pet with the same level of care I’d want for my own. I would never put your pet at risk — their comfort, safety, and happiness are my top priorities. I’m excited to be a trusted friend to your pup/cat, whether that’s for walks, playtime, or just some good company! Thank you for considering me to care for your furry family member! Since I work full-time from home (8 AM to 4 PM), I have some flexibility in the afternoons for nearby visits. I’m also an early riser and available in the evenings, with weekends completely open for pet sitting and walks. I’m happy to work with your schedule to make sure your dog gets the care and attention they need! When caring for pets, I prioritize their safety, comfort, and happiness above all else. I’m respectful of any boundaries or routines you have set — whether that means maintaining crate training, allowing free roam, or following specific house rules. I’m also comfortable helping reinforce positive behaviors if you’re working on training. My goal is always to make sure your dog feels secure, respected, and cared for, just like they would with you!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Abington
Ally was the perfect sitter for our anxious dog. She gave him lots of attention and love so he relaxed and had a great time. I was nervous because we hadn’t used Rover before, but this was a great experience and will definitely use it again (with Ally of course!).

Lia was wonderful!! I’ve never used Rover before and I’m grateful she made it an awesome first experience. She initiated a meet and greet before our trip which made it super easy to get her a key and show her through everything she needed to know to watch after the cats. While we were away, she proactively sent lots of pictures and updates which I loved. She also quickly responded to any questions or requests I had. On top of taking great care of the cats, she even watered our plant. I could tell through the pictures just how comfortable the cats were with her which gave me peace of mind while being away. Overall, 10/10 and we are so glad we had Lia looking after Pepper and Periwinkle!!

Katie was wonderful! I waited too long to book our usual dog walker and came to Rover to see if I can find another one we could use. Katie came and had a meet & greet with our Great Dane and it went well. Our pup loved her! She sent pictures and updates so I never had any worries if my dog was well taken care of. We will definitely be booking Katie again!
Sarafina did a great job caring for my cat, Lawrence! He just needed daily drop-in visits and she sent lots of photos. She stopped by beforehand to make sure she knew exactly what he needed and was friendly and knowledgeable! She did an excellent job with my instructions and gave him plenty of playtime while she stopped in. I highly recommend Sarafina for any of your pets needs!

- 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
