“Our kitty is high maintenance with her eating and meds, but Courtney had her under control. We appreciated the updates, the planning in advance of our absence, and the very timely responses to all of our messages! We would highly recommend Courtney to our neighbors!”

About: I’ve lived with dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes since I can remember. Dog poop, hairballs, slobber…not grossed out, will clean it all. We recently lost our 17-year-old chihuahua, so I have experience caring for a senior pet as well. I’m a freelance creative, working from home with a very flexible schedule. I can easily shift my day around to meet your pet care needs! I am a sucker for instructions and will follow them to a T. Your pet(s) will get my undivided attention, love, and care. And, with your permission, I love to take photos of your pets and share them with you to add a little bright spot to your day.
“I was very pleased with Keri's care for our two cats. I appreciated that she took notes during our meet and greet about what we wanted and while we were gone she did everything that we requested, including refilling our backyard bird feeder. She sent notes and pictures that documented what she did and how our cats were doing.”

“Lucy was so great with our three dogs! We have 2 seniors dogs and a puppy. She sent photos and updates of them daily. Thank you again will definitely be booking again!”

“Trederica was wonderful! Kept me updated with pictures every visit & accommodated all my needs when it came to my fur baby, would absolutely book her again.”

“Haeley is fantastic! She is tremendously compassionate and attentive. Harley exudes kindness in the way she communicates about my pets. It’s a gift having that peace of mind that my pets are in such good hands.”

“Brian was great with Tucker all the way from the meet and greet through the two check ins. He made our anxious dog feel comfortable and his communication is great and proactive. We highly recommend Brian and will be booking him for weekly services going forward!”

“Kendra was amazing. This is our first time having Kendra feed/take care of our cats, we would request her again and again and again. Our cats are not used to strangers, she had them interacting with her at her first visit. Thank you Kendra!”

“So glad we found Rachel! Ace warmed up to her right away, and he was SO excited when I got home the day of her first drop-in…I swear he was trying to tell me he had a friend over 😂. Rachel is a great communicator and so sweet! Highly recommend!”

“I have booked with Christina twice and she is great! I trust her with my babies. She got my one slow to trust cat to cuddle with her, which is the ultimate sign to me. I will definitely book with her in the future”

“Shelby took great care of my two kitties, administered medication, and provided great reports and photos. Look forward to having her take care of them again!”

“Look no further; Ally C is who you want. We have always used the same person to care for Eva and Kitten. When he was no longer an option, we panicked. As soon as I saw Ally's picture, I knew she was the one, and I was right. Ally was fantastic and went above and beyond. What a relief to know that our pets were with someone so caring and fun. I have no hesitation recommending her and am positive you will be happy with her pet care. She is the best, and I can't recommend her enough!”

About: Hi! I’m a teacher on summer break and a lifelong dog lover. I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and started dog sitting when I was 12, so caring for pups has always been second nature to me. I currently have a reactive pit bull, which has taught me a lot about patience, structure, reading body language, and building trust with dogs who need a little extra understanding. She’s also brought me a ton of joy and deepened my love for all types of dogs, especially those with big personalities. This summer, I’m looking forward to spending my time outside, staying active, and making some new furry friends along the way. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and temperaments, and I always aim to make pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while their owners are away. Whether your dog needs long walks, playtime, or just a calm and reliable presence, I’d love to help! My schedule is fairly flexible, especially during the summer, as I work part-time. I have a lot of availability throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, and playtime, and I do my best to accommodate different needs. Occasionally I may be traveling, but I’m always open to messages, feel free to reach out and see what I can make work. I do not offer overnight stays, as I have a dog of my own at home, but I’m happy to provide consistent, reliable daytime care. I always follow the owner’s directions closely to ensure each pet is cared for in a way that matches their normal routine and needs. I prioritize safety above all else and take time to understand each pet’s behavior, preferences, and any special instructions. I also like to do a meet and greet beforehand so everyone feels comfortable and we can make sure it’s a good fit. My goal is to create a calm, safe, and positive environment for every pet in my care.
About: I love dogs but my work and travel schedule impact my ability to have my own dog. I'm looking forward to spend time and caring for your dog and all the good that will bring to all of us when I am available. I work remotely 2 days/ week with a long commute but available to care for a pet the days I am not traveling. I also travel one week each month to Arizona for family so looking to optimize my chance to care for your dog when I am in home in Pennsylvania. I live in a townhouse community that is not fully fenced and when I care for my sister's dog, I walk her on her leash around our community that loves dogs with many caring dog owners around me. We also hang out in the house and she loves to sleep on my office while I work and gives me a great excuse to disconnect from work every few hours and go for long walks in the mutiple, beautiful parks around where I live.
About: Hi! I grew up with cats and dogs, and had small animals during college (much to my dorm RA's chagrin LOL) - a hamster, gerbil, snake, and a rat. Currently my daughter and I have four wonderful cats, including an orange female that keeps us on our toes 😁, and a Betta fish. With friends and family, I am surrounded by dogs - from Chihuahua to Greyhound - and I love them all! I often pet sit and walk a variety of pawsome pups 🐾 ❤️. I'm comfortable with any type of pet (feline, canine, reptile, bird, small mammals, etc.) and would be honored to care for yours. Let's face it, pets can be better than people, and they deserve to be treated with the unconditional love they show us!! 😊 I am self-employed, and have ultimate flexibility to care for your pets on your schedule, day or night! I am available for one-off arrangements, when you are traveling, or on-going regular care. I'm especially happy to spend as much time as needed with your fur babies, to ensure they are well-loved and enriched while you are away! In my own home, I can care for caged animals, such as small mammals, reptiles, birds, or fish. They would be kept in a closed room that is off limits to our cats. For your cats and dogs, I happy to come to your home and spend as much time as needed feeding, cleaning, playing, walking, etc. In addition, if the fit is right, I am happy to welcome your dog into my home during the day for doggie daycare.
“My weird cats and I adore Allie. I volunteered at a couple of shelters / rescues and truly have some quirky cats, but Allie acted like they were as normal as they come. She was not fazed by their individual eating preferences, oral meds, and sometimes cranky attitudes. Allie also sent daily updates with photos and I have not felt this at ease traveling in a very long time. I'm sure Allie is excellent with dogs, but if you are looking for someone who is amazing with cats, this is your sitter!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wyncote
Lauren filled in when my usual Rover sitter had a conflict. She was fantastic! She made arrangements to meet my babies and left lots of pictures and feedback during our vacation away. My cats usually timid, met her at the door each day and warmed to her quickly. I highly recommend Lauren.

Nikki was very responsive and took the time to come by for a meet-and-greet before the service began. She did a wonderful job caring for our two cats while we were away, and we felt completely at ease knowing they were in good hands. We would absolutely book with her again in the future.

Christina is so sweet. I made the best decision ever when I booked her to drop in and feed my crew on the afternoon of my surgery. It was a huge weight off my mind knowing I didn't have to worry about my kitties being cared for while I was still on an anesthesia stupor! Looking forward to booking her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
