“The best of the best. I can relax easy knowing someone who genuinely cares about my cats will be there to check in on them and make sure they get the attention they need.”

“Lucy did a wonderful job taking care of our cat. We really appreciated the detailed updates and pictures so we could see how he was doing while we were away. Would definitely book her again!”

About: I’ve lived with dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes since I can remember. Dog poop, hairballs, slobber…not grossed out, will clean it all. We recently lost our 17-year-old chihuahua, so I have experience caring for a senior pet as well. I’m a freelance creative, working from home with a very flexible schedule. I can easily shift my day around to meet your pet care needs! I am a sucker for instructions and will follow them to a T. Your pet(s) will get my undivided attention, love, and care. And, with your permission, I love to take photos of your pets and share them with you to add a little bright spot to your day.
“Keri did an excellent job making sure our cats were happy while we were away! She is kind, thorough, and very communicative, as well as great with animals. Highly recommend booking with her!”

“Ally did a great job working with my dog Maggie. Ally was patient with Maggie, who is still learning to greet politely, and helped with her training in rewarding calm greetings. Magggie had a great time with Ally, who is kind, reliable, and knowledgeable in her care of animals.”

About: I've had pets for most of my life and have cared for pets of all ages, from energetic puppies and kittens to senior pets who need extra patience and attention. I'm comfortable maintaining routines, providing plenty of exercise and playtime, and making sure pets feel safe and cared for while their owners are away. I also understand the importance of consistency with young pets and can help reinforce good habits and routines. For senior pets, I'm happy to provide the extra care, patience, and attention they may need. I'm currently home from college and work part time at a local elementary school until their summer starts. I am available most days of the week and at most hours. I follow their normal routine as closely as possible to help their pets feel comfortable and secure. I make sure they have fresh food and water, clean up after them, provide playtime, exercise, and plenty of attention based on their individual needs and personality. For cats, I keep litter boxes clean, spend time playing or socializing with them, and make sure they have a calm, stress-free environment.
About: Hi! I grew up with cats and dogs, and had small animals during college (much to my dorm RA's chagrin LOL) - a hamster, gerbil, snake, and a rat. Currently my daughter and I have four wonderful cats, including an orange female that keeps us on our toes 😁, and a Betta fish. With friends and family, I am surrounded by dogs - from Chihuahua to Greyhound - and I love them all! I often pet sit and walk a variety of pawsome pups 🐾 ❤️. I'm comfortable with any type of pet (feline, canine, reptile, bird, small mammals, etc.) and would be honored to care for yours. Let's face it, pets can be better than people, and they deserve to be treated with the unconditional love they show us!! 😊 I am self-employed, and have ultimate flexibility to care for your pets on your schedule, day or night! I am available for one-off arrangements, when you are traveling, or on-going regular care. I'm especially happy to spend as much time as needed with your fur babies, to ensure they are well-loved and enriched while you are away! In my own home, I can care for caged animals, such as small mammals, reptiles, birds, or fish. They would be kept in a closed room that is off limits to our cats. For your cats and dogs, I happy to come to your home and spend as much time as needed feeding, cleaning, playing, walking, etc. In addition, if the fit is right, I am happy to welcome your dog into my home during the day for doggie daycare.

About: I've taken care of dogs, cats, chickens, bunnies, fish, and reptiles! I also specialize in plant care and home management. I have experience walking small/big, quiet/loud, old/young dogs! Also, I specialize in administrating medicine to animals. I'm currently working part time during the week. I take care of pets in the morning from 6am-8am and then at 5pm and later. I am available to house-sit and pet-sit all day on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. In a client's home, I am respectful and observant of the environment. I will handle the animals and home with the utmost care and safety. I will triple check to make sure the dog leash is on, fence is closed, door is locked, etc!
“So glad we found Rachel! Ace warmed up to her right away, and he was SO excited when I got home the day of her first drop-in…I swear he was trying to tell me he had a friend over 😂. Rachel is a great communicator and so sweet! Highly recommend!”

“Marian is caring, trust worthy and clearly a dog lover! Nittany loved her from the start. She walked her with each visit and sent us the map to see where she walked her. Loved the pictures too- kept us at ease seeing that she was in good hands! Thank you!”

I am available seven days a week rain or shine and my hours are flexible. No matter what, you can count on me to walk your dog. “My weird cats and I adore Allie. I volunteered at a couple of shelters / rescues and truly have some quirky cats, but Allie acted like they were as normal as they come. She was not fazed by their individual eating preferences, oral meds, and sometimes cranky attitudes. Allie also sent daily updates with photos and I have not felt this at ease traveling in a very long time. I'm sure Allie is excellent with dogs, but if you are looking for someone who is amazing with cats, this is your sitter!”

“I was kept updated & received pictures of my senior girl when while we were away for 12 hours. She was happy & content. Becky & Christian are great to deal with!”

And I’m available all day on the weekends! I cannot watch dogs at mine and can only go to you due to my lease agreement. I am more than happy to house sit and/or walk your pets!

“Barb is the greatest and the best! We are always happy when she has an opening for us. The dog is calm and relaxed, and we get to see the walks she took while we were gone! Barb is flexible and patient with the dog and with us. Thanks, Barb!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Glenside
Lauren is amazing!! She took such good care of our kitty on a weekend that we were feeling really sad to leave him. She made us feel so much better and sent plenty of pictures and videos and even went above and beyond what we asked. We will definitely be one of Lauren’s new regulars :)

Nikki was very responsive and took the time to come by for a meet-and-greet before the service began. She did a wonderful job caring for our two cats while we were away, and we felt completely at ease knowing they were in good hands. We would absolutely book with her again in the future.

Sarafina did a great job caring for my cat, Lawrence! He just needed daily drop-in visits and she sent lots of photos. She stopped by beforehand to make sure she knew exactly what he needed and was friendly and knowledgeable! She did an excellent job with my instructions and gave him plenty of playtime while she stopped in. I highly recommend Sarafina for any of your pets needs!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
