“Nora was amazing. My animals are so receptive to her. She took extra time to make sure we were comfortable, took pictures, and cared for my animals like they are her own. 10 out of 10 I would reach out to Nora again.”

About: I have an 11 year old senior dog who I’ve trained in eating, using the bathroom, tricks, and other manners since he was born. I’m known to my family and close friends as the pet-obsessed girl, who says hi to every animal I pass on the street. By picking me as your animal’s caretaker, your picking a complete animal-lover who will love your pets just as much as you do❤️ As a college athlete, I often take walks around my neighborhood on my own for leisurely time. I’d be over the moon happy to have a companion to take these walks with, or even take them to the park to get some play time together! Along with loving animals, I also would describe myself as being a pretty clean and organized person. However you leave your home is how I will leave it for you when you return.
“Courtney was amazing! She made Ellie’s first rover experience a good one. I booked very last minute and Courtney accommodated me. I recently broke my ankle so Courtney came in, and put the leash on my baby. All in an all everything went great and I’d definitely book again. Thank you again :)”

“Keri was so wonderful with our dog, Scout. She had great communication and provided us with so many photos so we could be comfortable Scout was in good hands while we were away. Highly recommend!”

“Jaclyn is a GREAT walker!! My princess can be a little difficult to handle, but she does a wonderful job of getting her to behave & walk to go potty! Nia looks forward to Jaclyn's time with her! Great job, Jacylyn!!”

“Maureen was a life-saver. I am recovering from surgery and my Mercedes being an early riser with a specific morning routine. It was hard. She was extremely anxious with seeing me in bed and unable to carry her and keeping her morning routine was nearly impossible. She had become increasingly anxious. Maureen came in every morning on time at 6 am, let Mercedes out, fed her and walk her. She gave Mercedes belly rubs, lots loving and Mercedes calmed down. Maureen followed my directions, was puntual and gave TLC to Mercedes and was polite with us. She noted concerns when needed . Though minor, we were able to deal with the issues right away. Everything worked like a charm. I thank God that I was able to connect with Maureen and she was overall EXCELLENT. Mercedes calmed down and was excited to see Maureen. She took a load off us on the most difficult part of my recovery. Surely a God sent.”

“Hadiya is great! She’s amazing with her high level of care, consideration, and attention to detail! I’m really glad to be working with her! My dogs love her 🫶🏾”

“Ryan was extremely professional and a great communicator. I have a very sensitive/anxious dog, but I felt at ease knowing she was getting great long walks with a calm confidant walker. I will definitely hire Ryan again next time I leave town! Thanks again!”

“Barb was the perfect welcome representative for our first time using Rover. She answered all of our first timer questions and put our mind at ease. What a great first experience.”

About: Retired dog groomer and life long dog owner. I was a dog walker in Center City before I started a family. I was also a dog groomer for 10 years and have plenty of experience around all kinds of pets. I currently walk a few dogs in the surrounding area and have a flexible schedule as I work from home as a real estate agent. Our dog passed away during COVID, and we are currently dog less. I'm currently working from home and have a flexible schedule. I am available for boarding house trained, kid friendly dogs, week days and most weekends. I am also available to house sit in your home with your pet if you prefer. I can provide daily walks and/or yard play time and exercise, as well as feeding and admiring administering simple medications. In my home we have an unfenced yard, so I will walk your dog as per specific needs. We prefer pets not on furniture or bed, and would rather have owner provide something to sleep on. If not provided we do have blankets. We have 3 boys 16 and under so dogs would have to be kid friendly. Our boys love dogs and grew up with a doberman. They are respectful, calm and understanding of pet needs.

We couldn’t be happier with Rachel! She is incredibly reliable, communicative, flexible and so easy to work with. Communication has always been quick and seamless, and I always know my pups are in great hands. She gives them so much love, attention, and affection. They get plenty of kisses, cuddles, and great walks. It’s obvious she genuinely cares about them, which gives me so much peace of mind while I’m at work. I truly appreciate everything she does for my dogs, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, and professional dog walker!

Lucy was absolutely wonderful with our 2-year old golden retriever. She is reliable, friendly, and genuinely loves animals. Lucy arrived on time, provided great communication and updates, and made sure our dog got plenty of exercise! The regular photo updates gave us peace of mind while we were away. We highly recommend Lucy to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog walker!

Lauren was fantastic! I was nervous about having a new dog walker and Lauren immediately made me feel at ease during our meet & greet. When it came to visiting our pup, Lauren was timely and highly communicative. Maverick can't wait for more walkies with Lauren!

Overall good experience with Caitlin. My primary factor is how my dog responds and interacts with a walker. My dog seemed to be comfortable with Caitlin during the meet and greet...when I got home from my day trip he was a happy pup! Communication on the lead up and for the walk was good.

Danielle took the time to come meet my shy dog before the day of his walk which was really sweet and helpful for putting me at ease (and him too i’m sure). On the day of the walk, she was very gentle, sweet, and patient with him when he was nervous to come out of his crate for the walk. I highly recommend her for anyone, especially dogs that need an extra sweet and patient walker.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
