About: Animals have been a lifelong passion of mine. With over 14 years of hands-on pet care experience, two degrees in Animal Science, and fostering rescue dogs, I understand that every pet has unique needs and personalities. I have experience caring for puppies, senior dogs, shy rescues, and dogs with special medical or behavioral needs. As a manager in an animal care environment, attention to detail, safety, and animal welfare are at the center of everything I do. Whether your pet needs a comfortable place to stay, daily exercise, medication administration, or extra patience and reassurance while you’re away, I will care for them as if they were my own. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, low-stress environment where both pets and owners feel confident and comfortable. I have a flexible schedule and am able to provide attentive, hands-on care throughout the day. Because I keep my boarding services small and personalized, your dog will receive plenty of supervision, exercise, enrichment, and affection. I’m committed to maintaining your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a pet-friendly home and years of experience caring for dogs through fostering, rescue work, and my educational background in animal science. I carefully introduce dogs, monitor interactions, follow feeding and medication instructions, and can accommodate crate-trained dogs. I keep a low number of boarders at a time to ensure every dog receives individualized attention, exercise, and a stress-free environment.

About: I’ve lived with dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes since I can remember. Dog poop, hairballs, slobber…not grossed out, will clean it all. We recently lost our 17-year-old chihuahua, so I have experience caring for a senior pet as well. I’m a freelance creative, working from home with a very flexible schedule. I can easily shift my day around to meet your pet care needs! I am a sucker for instructions and will follow them to a T. Your pet(s) will get my undivided attention, love, and care. And, with your permission, I love to take photos of your pets and share them with you to add a little bright spot to your day.

About: I've been pet and house sitting since grade school and will treat your pet like the member of the family they are. We all love our pets and want them taken care of in the best way possible. I have a flexible schedule and will make room for what you and your pets need when they need it. I have reliable transportation and am very punctual. About: I have an 11 year old senior dog who I’ve trained in eating, using the bathroom, tricks, and other manners since he was born. I’m known to my family and close friends as the pet-obsessed girl, who says hi to every animal I pass on the street. By picking me as your animal’s caretaker, your picking a complete animal-lover who will love your pets just as much as you do❤️ As a college athlete, I often take walks around my neighborhood on my own for leisurely time. I’d be over the moon happy to have a companion to take these walks with, or even take them to the park to get some play time together! Along with loving animals, I also would describe myself as being a pretty clean and organized person. However you leave your home is how I will leave it for you when you return.

About: I’ve had dogs ever since I was a little kid. I’ve been professionally walking and sitting for over a year now. I’ve had several family members ask me to take care of their dogs and cats. I only walk two dogs Monday and Tuesday so the rest of the week I am available for a service. I work from home and can take a walk in the morning or late in the afternoon. I would be more than happy to care for your pet in the comfort of their home. I get on their level and make sure to talk calmly and let them get comfortable on their own terms

Katherine was so good with our dog Fergus! She gave such good details on his behavior and how he did on his walks. Being a puppy still in training, it was good for us to know how he did while we were away from him and had Katherine walk him for a few days. She really went above and beyond our expectations by cleaning up a mess that our dog caused after eating a couple books while we were away! Thanks Katherine!

About: I have been the happy sibling to Marley, a precious pug who lived to be 19 years of age. His hibernation-like lifestyle may have contributed to his long, happy life, but I think my care was definitely a factor too. During the pandemic, I finally got a copilot of my own. Earl Grey is a small chi-weenie rescue who has been such a light in my life. Dogs really bring me such joy and I would love to offer care to pups in my free time. I am a respectful, responsible, and hard-working individual. I have been pet-sitting for my friends and family for years, and would be more than happy to continue this work. I am very comfortable with all dogs. I'm also familiar with several training strategies so will not disrupt your dog's training. I do warn you though I may try to teach them to high five. 🙃 I’m currently working park time while I prepare for my phD studies next year. I’ll have plenty of time to walk and play with your pups. While my current housing does not permit me to do boarding. I’m happy to commute to a client’s home to take care of their pet. I do take my dog to dog parks for socializing quite often and gladly offer this for all pup owners too.

She responded promptly to any communication, showed up at her scheduled time every day, and gave us good feedback on how Stella did. Would highly recommend Caitlin to anyone looking for a walker.

Courtney was amazing. I booked her on short notice. She canceled her appointment which was completely unnecessary to come in. Dogs hit my dog. She was professional and was sweet and loving to my puppy. She was confident and took charge, which is exactly what we needed. I will hundred percent use her again and I hope that you guys use her services. Your pet would be thankful that you set up an appointment with Courtney.

Lauren is truly the best! Our little guy DJ literally jumps with pure joy the moment he sees her arrive, which says everything about how much he adores her. ❤️ She gives him the perfect combination of fun-filled walks, playtime, attention, and plenty of snuggles, and we always know he’s in the very best hands. Lauren is caring, dependable, thoughtful, and clearly loves what she does. It gives us such peace of mind knowing DJ is not only well cared for, but genuinely happy and excited to spend time with her. We couldn’t recommend Lauren more highly. She has become such a special part of DJ’s life, and ours too!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
