“Marian did a great job, and went out of our her way to introduce her self to our anxious dog and did a great job with the house visit while we were out of the house. We will certainly us her again!”

“Ryan was an amazing sitter. My cats absolutely loved him, and they never like people they have never met especially when we aren’t home. Ryan was timely, followed directions to a tee, and went above and beyond to make sure the house was in order knowing our one cat had litter box issues. I highly recommend Ryan for any sitting needs.”
“This was my first time ever using a service to care for my cat and the first time leaving my cat for a week. Which was a big deal for a new pet parent! Nikki was amazing. She was thorough in gathering care instructions for Lil Sweetie, prompt with her check-ins, and sent detailed visit cards with cute pics of my kitty so I could keep in touch while I was away and missing her. I felt completely at ease knowing Sweetie was in the care of Nikki. I will definitely be booking Nikki again in the future and would recommend her to anyone. Thanks Nikki!”

About: I have been the happy sibling to Marley, a precious pug who lived to be 19 years of age. His hibernation-like lifestyle may have contributed to his long, happy life, but I think my care was definitely a factor too. During the pandemic, I finally got a copilot of my own. Earl Grey is a small chi-weenie rescue who has been such a light in my life. Dogs really bring me such joy and I would love to offer care to pups in my free time. I am a respectful, responsible, and hard-working individual. I have been pet-sitting for my friends and family for years, and would be more than happy to continue this work. I am very comfortable with all dogs. I'm also familiar with several training strategies so will not disrupt your dog's training. I do warn you though I may try to teach them to high five. 🙃 I’m currently working park time while I prepare for my phD studies next year. I’ll have plenty of time to walk and play with your pups. While my current housing does not permit me to do boarding. I’m happy to commute to a client’s home to take care of their pet. I do take my dog to dog parks for socializing quite often and gladly offer this for all pup owners too.

About: I am looking forward to hosting dogs in my house. I have a 4 year old dog I recently adopted. He enjoys having other dogs come to visit! I'm a teacher so I am home weeknights and weekends to care for and play with your dogs. Your dog can sleep in my room or can be crated if that is preferred. I am also excited to explore my new neighborhood with dog walks in the evenings. I have recently moved to a new home that has a small front yard. There are trails nearby that I can use for dog walks.
About: I have taken care and loved all ages of dogs my whole life. From owning them to watching the neighbors and friends. I have also worked in a professional setting for about 5+ years and have had experience caring for all different breeds and their specific individual needs. In addition, I have training experience with Penn Vet Working Dog Center as well as some classes I attended at a training school! I’m grateful for all the experiences I’ve had and all the ones waiting to be had! I have currently care for 3 different types of animals (cat, gecko, and turtle!) I did have a dog as well however she sadly passed recently. I am able to crate dogs as well as provide medications and keep up with dietary restrictions. I am able to walk as well as play and spend time with the pups! For cats I am able to scoop litter and give as many or as little cuddles as the cat may enjoy! I’m good with feeding as well as administering meds to cats
“Heather is extremely professional and checked in and out on-time everyday! She provided pictures and written status up dates everyday as well! We highly recommend Heather and will be booking her for our Ayg and Sept vacation”

About: I worked for 3 years at a doggie daycare/ boarder while in college and it’s still some of my fondest memories! I grew up with dogs, cats, birds, fishes, and even ferrets! Safe to say I’m the biggest animal lover!! I’m currently working full time at an elementary school meaning I get done work earlier than the average 9-5! I’m looking to take care of your bestie from after work (3:40pm) til 10pm on weekdays! My weekends are flexible! I’m very respectful of people time, homes, and money! I hope you will consider me to watch your playful pups or cute kitties!:) contact me!
“Angelina is smart, caring, thoughtful, and thorough. We have two older cats that we knew were in good care while we were away. I would highly recommend Angelina to anyone looking for excellent care for their pets.”

“I am so happy to have Brenda to help care for our family’s new puppy. It is very reassuring to me that he has a scheduled playtime with Brenda when we have other commitments. I especially love the pictures that she sends after the visits so that we can see how much fun our little guy had. She is a wonderful sitter!”

“Max has been really great to work with! She’s better cats on a couple occasions now and is always a fast responder, communicative, and kind enough to check in on our cats with very short notice. Happy to recommend.”

About: I became a cat mom in 2019, and have since spent time volunteering at a cat shelter and a farm (taking care of kittens, piglets and goats!). I’ve always been drawn to animals and will take great care of your pets! I have a flexible schedule, and generally available both weekends and weekdays for a set period of time. Please feel free to reach out to discuss your needs! My preference is to take of pets in my client’s home, since I have a cat that does not get along easily with other animals. Depending on the duration of the pet-sitting, I can do day trips or overnights.
About: Hi! I’m a teacher on summer break and a lifelong dog lover. I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and started dog sitting when I was 12, so caring for pups has always been second nature to me. I currently have a reactive pit bull, which has taught me a lot about patience, structure, reading body language, and building trust with dogs who need a little extra understanding. She’s also brought me a ton of joy and deepened my love for all types of dogs, especially those with big personalities. This summer, I’m looking forward to spending my time outside, staying active, and making some new furry friends along the way. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and temperaments, and I always aim to make pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while their owners are away. Whether your dog needs long walks, playtime, or just a calm and reliable presence, I’d love to help! My schedule is fairly flexible, especially during the summer, as I work part-time. I have a lot of availability throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, and playtime, and I do my best to accommodate different needs. Occasionally I may be traveling, but I’m always open to messages, feel free to reach out and see what I can make work. I do not offer overnight stays, as I have a dog of my own at home, but I’m happy to provide consistent, reliable daytime care. I always follow the owner’s directions closely to ensure each pet is cared for in a way that matches their normal routine and needs. I prioritize safety above all else and take time to understand each pet’s behavior, preferences, and any special instructions. I also like to do a meet and greet beforehand so everyone feels comfortable and we can make sure it’s a good fit. My goal is to create a calm, safe, and positive environment for every pet in my care.
“Danielle took great care of my very demanding 12-year old cat for over two weeks when I was out of town. She was very responsive and also very creative when it came to giving my cat her daily medications.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Oreland
Katie was wonderful! I waited too long to book our usual dog walker and came to Rover to see if I can find another one we could use. Katie came and had a meet & greet with our Great Dane and it went well. Our pup loved her! She sent pictures and updates so I never had any worries if my dog was well taken care of. We will definitely be booking Katie again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
