About: Hi! My name is Maura. I’ve owned and cared for dogs for most of my life. I also have experience caring for cats, birds, chickens and horses. I’m an experienced house and pet sitter— I’ve cared for both grown animals and little ones alike. I’m naturally up around 7:30, and I’ll usually feed the pets first thing. However, I do get up earlier if that’s the schedule the pets are on! When it comes to taking care of the pets in your home, I usually try and follow the established routines that they’re already used to. Throughout the day, I’ll take breaks from whatever chores or work I’m doing on my computer to spend time with the pets, playing or walking outside. Sometimes we just sunbathe ☀️ while I read a book in the late afternoon. It depends on the pet, but generally it’s just a lot of spending time together!

About: I grew up with the most incredible yorkie-poo for 16 years, and I’ve been filling the void by following way too many dog Instagram accounts. I really miss having a dog around, so your dog will get a lot of attention and be in great hands. I’ve looked after pit bulls, a Shar-Pei, doodles, an Alaskan Klee Kai, and mixed breeds of all sizes. Whether your dog is big, little, high-energy, anxious, stubborn, or just wants a buddy nearby, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I may find it hard to get work done because I’ll probably spend too much time hanging out with your dog. And if they’re into people food, I’ll respectfully disappoint them unless you tell me otherwise. I’m in a flexible stretch right now, doing job-search work, contract work, and projects mostly from home. That means I can usually build my day around walks, drop-ins, or hanging with your pet. I’m best for weekday daytime care, evenings, and some weekends with a little notice. If I have an interview, work call, or trip coming up, I’ll be upfront before booking so there are no surprises. I’m pretty careful and communicative by default. I’ll follow your instructions closely, keep dogs leashed unless you explicitly say otherwise, double-check doors/gates, and send updates so you know your pet is good. I’m not going to freestyle with food, treats, medications, dog parks, or anything that could create a weird situation. If I’m in your home, I’ll treat it with the same respect I’d want someone to show mine.
