About: Hi! My name is Maura. I’ve owned and cared for dogs for most of my life. I also have experience caring for cats, birds, chickens and horses. I’m an experienced house and pet sitter— I’ve cared for both grown animals and little ones alike. I’m comfortable providing company, keeping the animals on a schedule, and even continuing training schedules while you’re gone. I can provide references if needed! At the moment I’m in-between jobs, having just completed a summer internship abroad. So most of my day is spent job searching. I like to get outside and go for walks or runs on the daily, so oftentimes I’ll take my dog with me. I am also a moderate early-riser. I’m naturally up around 7:30, and I’ll usually feed the pets first thing. However, I do get up earlier if that’s the schedule the pets are on! When it comes to taking care of the pets in your home, I usually try and follow the established routines that they’re already used to. Throughout the day, I’ll take breaks from whatever chores or work I’m doing on my computer to spend time with the pets, playing or walking outside. Sometimes we just sunbathe ☀️ while I read a book in the late afternoon. It depends on the pet, but generally it’s just a lot of spending time together!

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and have experience with all kinds of personalities, including anxious, reactive, and “misbehaved” dogs. I know how to stay calm in stressful situations and understand that patience and consistency are important, especially with dogs that have trauma or anxiety. I’m not afraid of big dogs or dogs that pull, and I know how to safely handle and walk strong pullers. I’m very attentive to body language and behavior, and I always make sure dogs feel comfortable, safe, and respected. I’m reliable, patient, and comfortable following specific routines, feeding schedules, and care instructions to make sure every dog gets the attention and care they need. I’m very lenient with my time and have a pretty flexible schedule, so I can easily squeeze in a walk or babysitting whenever needed. I also have a cat who completely minds her business and pays no attention to dogs, so she won’t be a problem. When caring for pets in the clients home. I will follow their daily routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, medications, and any other instructions they provide me. I want the pets to feel comfortable and safe in their own home while their family is away, so I’ll give them plenty of attention, exercise, and love while also respecting their space and normal routine.

Emma was great ! She did all that i sake of her, I have two girls and one is a real scaredy-cat and hides when anyone comes to the house. But that being said all went well. Emma is really focuses on detail what and when they need to be fed, she did a great job. I would definitely use her again.
We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter! While we were away on vacation, Steph took wonderful care of both of our cats by making sure they were fed, giving them their medications, and spending quality time with them each day…even entertaining them with cat videos on her iPad! It gave us such peace of mind knowing our cats were in caring and capable hands. She also shared pictures with us from her daily visits. Steph was also able to get our one shy cat to come out for her, which has never happened before! We came home to happy, well-cared-for cats. We highly recommend Steph and will definitely use her again!
Tiffany’s very caring. I’m handicapped with a spinal cord injury. I needed someone’s help to take care of my puppy, and take him on walks. She helped to make sure, my puppy had clean puppy pads/water/food/attention. She was such a wonderful person to work with. Absolutely!!👍🏻 I recommend Tiffany to everyone!!! Alex was great! Our dog was under a lot of stress. We had just moved to a new home and then had to leave him for 5 days, just 3 days after moving. Alex was patient and kind with my dog. He had a couple of accidents on the carpet due to stress and Alex was patient, and went out and bought calming treats for him. 10/10 would recommend Alex for every dog.
Kaylynn did a wonderful job taking care of our dog and cat while we were away. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared for them like they were her own. It gave us great peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We wouldn't hesitate to book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter!
Lia was wonderful!! I’ve never used Rover before and I’m grateful she made it an awesome first experience. She initiated a meet and greet before our trip which made it super easy to get her a key and show her through everything she needed to know to watch after the cats. While we were away, she proactively sent lots of pictures and updates which I loved. She also quickly responded to any questions or requests I had. On top of taking great care of the cats, she even watered our plant. I could tell through the pictures just how comfortable the cats were with her which gave me peace of mind while being away. Overall, 10/10 and we are so glad we had Lia looking after Pepper and Periwinkle!!
Katie was wonderful! I waited too long to book our usual dog walker and came to Rover to see if I can find another one we could use. Katie came and had a meet & greet with our Great Dane and it went well. Our pup loved her! She sent pictures and updates so I never had any worries if my dog was well taken care of. We will definitely be booking Katie again!
Maddie took great care of our 2 cats while we were away, especially our one kitty that requires a daily medication pill. Although the daily pilling was not a favorite activity for our cat, Maddie showed patience and did her best to gain her trust. I felt at ease knowing Maddie works as a Vet Tech and has experience with animals. She made sure to give treats and participate in daily playtime. We will request Maddie again in the future.

Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
