“Ronon has spent the day with Sam and her adorable pug, Petunia, twice now. Sam has a nice home and yard and a very chill vibe. Ronon was comfortable with her immediately. Ronon has big feelings and separation anxiety, so I'm very picky about who I leave him with. (Also, he has all the hops and can jump a five foot fence. Sam has a very secure yard.) When I pick him up, he is relaxed and happy! I'm very comfortable leaving Ronon with Sam and will definitely be a repeat client.”

“Janelle once again provided excellent care to our dog Poppy and on short notice for a day trip! Poppy is always so happy and upbeat when she returns to us. We can tell she had a great day!”

About: As a reliable and caring dog lover, I believe that pets are family. I have had a house full of pets since I was just 5 years old, and have loved them everyday since. I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels, and I prioritize making sure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. As a nurse, I’m attentive, responsible, and comfortable following detailed care instructions, medication schedules, and special needs. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or a little bit of everything, I’ll provide personalized care tailored to their routine. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout their stay. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member :) I am currently in grad school full time and not working, so I have plenty of time to love your fur babies. My schooling is remote until January, so I will be home all the time aside from errand runs, so I am very able to keep your pup happy and entertained while you’re away!! I have a super friendly golden retriever/ German Shepard mix who loves having friends over - he does extremely well when we watch our friends pups. I am able to crate your dog if needed. I do let my dog on the couch and our bed, but I am happy to set any boundaries with your pup that you request.

“Emelie and family were a godsend as we were looking for a last-minute sitter for our beloved pup Duke. We were traveling from VA to PA for a track meet and we weren’t quite sure what to do with our 6.5 month old puppy Duke as non-service animals were not allowed in the stadium. After reaching out to a few sitters on Rover, Emilie quickly responded with her availability and was very accommodating! Duke seemed to enjoy himself, and that made us feel good. If for whatever reason we happen to be traveling back to PA, we will definitely consider booking with Emilie as our pet sitter. Not only was she SUPER friendly and loving to our Duke, but she was VERY responsive!”

“Luna came home all tuckered out from Danielle and Wade's! I can tell that she had a great time hanging out with Jones all day. I knew Danielle & Wade are dog lovers as soon as we met, and felt very comfortable leaving Luna with them. Great communication and very reliable! We'll definitely be back!”

“Bailey had a great day with his fellow doggies and Yuhan. After she was initially a bit confused and clingy with her dad she adjusted quickly. Yuhan was very responsive and texted me back promptly when I asked her how Bailey was doing. It is a busy household but it is evident that Yuhan and her family love dogs! 🐾🐾”

“Jessica was absolutely wonderful with my puppy. She and her husband took the time to get to know us through a thoughtful meet‑and‑greet. Jessica then followed up with clear communication, made sure I felt completely comfortable before the booking, and ensured all details of the day were clear. Throughout the day, she sent regular updates and the cutest photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It’s clear that Jessica genuinely cares about the dogs she watches. My puppy came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well‑loved. I would absolutely book with Jessica again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and truly caring sitter.”

“My pet enjoyed another great stay with Mary! She is very attentive and sends lots of pictures and updates frequently, so we always feel like he is being taken care of during his stay.”

About: Hi, I'm Madison! I'm a wife, mom, and working professional with a huge love for animals. I grew up in a home that fostered dogs of all breeds and sizes, so caring for pets has always been a part of my life. I work a hybrid schedule, which gives me the flexibility to help care for your furry family members through boarding or drop in visits. Whether your pet loves playtime, or relaxing on the couch with some extra attention, I'm happy to meet them where they’re at. I have a lazy Bernese Mountain Dog named, Rue, and two cats. I also have two children that LOVE animals. Please take this into account before booking, your pup must be comfortable with children to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort! I look forward to connecting. I work a hybrid schedule, so I have a lot of flexibility! Tuesdays and Thursdays are usually my busiest days since I'm in the office, but I work close to home and have an extended lunch. Our home is rarely empty. Between my husband and my mom and aunt, who help with our kids, there's almost always someone around. We're all huge animal lovers, so your pet will get lots of love, attention, and companionship while they're here. Your pet would never be alone for longer than 4 hours at a time. With young children, we thrive on routine and spending lots of time at home. We have a single family home with a fenced-in yard where your pet can safely play and relax. My children love animals and will always be supervised during visits to make sure everyone is comfortable. Our Bernese Mountain Dog, Rue, is a very mellow, easygoing pup. I encourage a meet and greet beforehand to make sure everyone's personalities are a good fit. Our home is puppy proofed, with toys kept away and gates available if pets need their own space or separation during meals. Every pet is different, so please let me know about any special needs, routines, or preferences. I’ll always do my best to accommodate!
“Could not have had a better first experience with Mel watching Cannoli! The drop off process was easy and he seemed instantly comfortable with her. She sent numerous photos throughout the day showing how much fun he was having and how happy he was! Would 100% recommend and we cannot wait for Cannoli's upcoming weekend stay with Mel knowing how comfortable he is with her!!”

“Electric & Crescent are awesome. Odin had a great time with them and their lovely cats! The communication was great, they're easy going, they sent pictures constantly on how Odin was doing and I couldn't be happier to see him enjoy playing and cuddling with them. Odie is definitely coming back! Thank you!”

“Very happy with Ryan and his fam! Pics and videos throughout the day were really nice, and Atlas seemed to have a good time getting along with the kids, and even going on a run! Will definitely be coming back if Ryan is available :)”

“Becky was awesome! Our dog clearly had a great time and came home tired after having a playful, active day with lots of attention. Becky was incredibly responsive from the time I sent the initial request, to providing us updates throughout the day, showing attention to detail and our dog's schedule. This did not go unnoticed and was greatly appreciated! Definitely recommend using Becky!!”

“Tim came highly recommended, and now I know why! He was so understanding and patient as I navigated having him care for my senior dog, and he was clearly attentive to her. I will be back!”

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
