“We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Michael & Loraine! It was our first time leaving Bomi with someone outside of family, and they were so patient, kind, and reassuring from the start — answering all our questions and even inviting us to see their clean, spacious home before booking. While we were away, they kept in touch with thoughtful updates and photos, and it was clear Bomi was happy, comfortable, and loved like family. We’re so grateful for their care, attention, and kindness, and would absolutely trust them with Bomi again. Highly recommend!”

“Ben, Julie, Winter and Rosy were wonderful hosts to Sox! Thank you for taking great care of him - having that peace of mind makes traveling a whole lot easier. I know Sox had a great time!! Thank you again and I have no hesitation in recommending Ben!”

“I hadn't left my dog Honey for so long before and am ecstatic about how well Diego and Amelia did with her! She was happy, bouncy, and bright-eyed when I picked her up. The pictures and notes they provided every day were wonderful to get along the way. I'll definitely trust them again when I travel.”

“Emma seemed to have been a great fit for our 11 month old dog, Tucker! We received many pictures throughout his stay with her overnight, and she was very detailed about how she handles different scenarios which put me at ease. She was diligent about Tucker’s needs, and asked about my preferences for him, such as his typical routine, to ensure his success. Her background of dog training was evident and made me feel very comfortable leaving him at her house. Tucker came home happy and tired (as he got to play with her dogs!) We will definitely be booking with Emma again!”

“Nicole & family took such great care of our two babies for their two night stay. She sent regular pictures and updates. The dogs loved getting some extra snacks and cuddles and enjoyed the backyard! Thank you so much!!”

“This was my first time using Shamira. She took such good care of my little Nina and made her feel so comfortable. Nina is an older dog who is blind so she has special needs. Shamira did a wonderful job making sure she was safe and well cared for! We will definitely be sending Nina to Shamira again!”

“She is a perfect!!! I have a 7yrs old small chihuahua and she usually never let other people touch her and my dog let Ms Thalita hug her kiss her too. Also she feed her perfectly and my dog had a lot enjoy with Thalita and her family. She is a best”
“We left Cooper and Mason with Brian for a week. We felt comfortable leaving them from day 1. Brian was very communicative and gave us daily updates. The boys were very happy and well taken care of. I would not hesitate to use him again and highly recommend anyone who wants their dogs to be well taken care of to use Brian.”

“Penny had a great time at Alan and Darlene’s! Darlene was extremely communicative, and accommodated a last minute request quickly, even allowing time for a meet & greet ahead of time. We received lots of updates and pictures during Penny’s stay, and she clearly enjoyed romping around the yard with the other dogs. Penny was very well cared for while we were away, and we are extremely grateful!”

“Felix was great with my dog nova. They made sure she was comfortable with the other animals in the house and stayed in communication throughout my trip. I have so many great photos from their walks and hanging out in the house. Felix is my first choice when I comes to Philly rovers”

“Zuzu had a great stay. She was comfortable and had fun going for walks. Getting the pictures and updates was reassuring and let us know she was doing well. Zuzu loves to stay with Andrew and Uklu and will be back again soon!”

“Madison had great communication before and during the visit. She was very flexible and made our lives much easier with her helpfulness. Our dog had a very enjoyable visit and loved playing in their fenced in yard! Highly recommend, we will be back for the future!”

“We had the absolute best experience with Sarah and her family. They immediately took Alfie in like one of their own and he was in heaven. Not only was she incredibly organized, but every message she sent was so spot on and on time. We trust our little frenchie here every and any time! I would recommend Sarah and her family to any family with a pup. They are the best! Thank you all so much for providing Alfie with such an awesome first experience.”

About: Ive had been taken care of my past dogs and current dog for almost my entire life. I also take full care of my cat. I work with cats twice a week at a rescue shelter, and I did a short period working a doggy daycare facility. I can work full time during week, during the afternoons. I will be working at my job in the morning but will be fully free in the afternoons. Weekends may vary depending when I get a request. I make sure the pet gets enough play time outside, by either walking or playing with the pet. Make sure that the environment isn’t too loud or overstimulating, especially if there is more than one animal in the house.
About: I have had several dogs and cats in my adult life. I currently have 3 dogs and 2 cats and one ferret. I am working with a dog trainer to assist my dogs getting along with my new rescue. I currently have a full time job from 8-4 in West Chester. I can come on the following days: Monday, Tuesday, Fridays, and weekends any time. I will stick to your schedule best I can. I will come and take the dogs for a walk, play and snuggle time. I will scoop poop in the yard. I will change the litter box and not force the cats to snuggle. If they want it, they can.
“Phenomenal dog sitter. I boarded my two dogs with Jeffrey for Christmas week. He provided updates and pictures each day in a consistent and clear manner. He took great care of my dogs, and my dogs always have fun with Jeffrey's dog, Lily. I will continue to hire Jeffrey as my main dog sitter for as long as possible.”

“Cannoli had a fantastic stay with Emelie! I was sent pictures throughout his stay and he even made some doggy friends with some of the other dogs she boarded. Would definitely rebook with her in the future!”

“Danielle was great! We left our dog with her over the weekend, and she seemed happy when we picked her up. Danielle was kind to our pup and communicated great with us! We’ll definitely use her again!”

“Jessica and Isaac are the good sitter. We felt so comfortable to drop off our puppy, Carter to them . Jessica keep me updated with pictures and videos. They even let our puppy using their harness.”

Ben and Julie’s place is firmly our dog Soda’s home away from home. Their whole family, humans and dogs alike make her feel so welcome and at ease. And they are too kind when it comes to our girls’ quirk of getting in the car or schedule changes. I feel so lucky simply to have met their incredible family and thrilled to know we have a wonderful way for Soda to be happy when we go away. They are simply the best!

Emma is fantastic! I cannot rave enough about her! From our first meeting, I knew she was going to be the best person to entrust with the care of my fur babies from the many I interviewed. She was very communicative and provided great photo updates as well. It’s clear that her work with canines is a passion and a calling. Most importantly, my dogs could t wait to get inside on their FIRST visit, and they were very happy and tuckered out upon our return. We definitely hope to book with Emma next time we need care!

Spud spent one night at Thalita's, while we were at a concert. I knew he was in good hands, especially after spending a week with her earlier in the summer. Unfortunately, it was too late for me to leave a review for that stay. Spud always seems so happy staying with Thalita and her family. He is on vacation too!

Mariah and her family were an amazing and very thoughtful sitters who took great care of my senior, anxious pup. Oreo loved her experience and Mariah kept us updated throughout the day which was very helpful. I would recommend her and would have her watch my dog again!

Rachel is the absolute BEST. Our dog loves her. She sends incredible updates and she is so kind. Our pup had a bellyache going into a 10 day trip overseas and I was very stressed about leaving him. Rachel assured me he would be fine and went above and beyond to make sure he was taken care of and provided updates on his status. She is honestly incredible.

We’d book again with Aimee in a heartbeat. We had an awesome experience. She watched our pup while I was recovering from surgery out of state and made everything so easy for us. Communication was effortless and prompt at every step. We arranged to have Aimee pick up our gal from a friend who had been watching her at first before having to head out of town. Pickup was seamless and made things so much easier for us and our friend. She sent us lots of updates—and a few really made us laugh. Aimee even took the time to brush her thick wooly coat after we apologized for her wild hair since her usual grooming appointment fell during the visit. When we picked up our pup, our gal was calm and happy. She also had everything packed up and ready to go when we got there, once again making it such an easy process. From the pictures she sent, it was so clear that Aimee and her husband made our dog part of their family while she was with them and that our dog had a blast.

We had a wonderful experience with Kathleen and Matthew. They were thorough during our initial meeting to understand Bingo’s routine and needs, and kept us updated with prompt photos throughout his stay. The family was warm and welcoming, and Bingo clearly had a great time with them. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for caring and reliable dog sitters.

I would absolutely recommend and use Erica again. She really stepped up when two days before our trip Stella tore her CCL and required more care than she was originally booked for. Erica sent photos and daily updates. She also took her for stroller walks and administered her meds. I felt very comfortable leaving Stella in her care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
