“David was wonderful with my dog Rocco. This was the second time I used David, and he will be my go to guy for any future needs. He’s also so flexible if you need to drop off or pick up at a different hour than you originally planned. Highly recommend David.”

“We were so glad that we booked with Rhea! She sent updates, photos or short videos each day, and she didn't hesitate to write to us with questions. She has a clean apartment, too, and she clearly enjoyed taking care of our dog! In addition, her dog is also a sweet guy. We appreciate that she doesn't take too many dogs at one time. We definitely recommend her!!”

“Tielian took fantastic care of our dog, Pepper, while we were away for a week. She provided regular updates and photos, which gave us peace of mind and let us see how well he was adjusting. It was clear she genuinely cared about Pepper, and he had a great time with her, her family, and her dog, Bullet! We truly appreciated the attention and love she gave him. We’re so happy to have found our go-to person and will definitely be using her again! Thank you SO much to Tielian, Bullet, and the boys!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Kat and Matt! They took great care of our two dogs over the weekend and made sure we always felt connected by sending regular photo updates. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our pups were happy, safe, and well loved. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would absolutely book with them again!”

“Wenji and family are great. I got some pictures and Jo got lots of walks. When Jo came home, she was very calm and balanced and happy. Very happy about this experience. Will have Jo stay again with Wenji.”

“Tina is wonderful! She took wonderful care of Chase during a 3 week trip that I had planned before I knew we would be adopting him. She send wonderful updates and photos every day and Chase was living his best life in each photo! I am so glad to have found Tina and would not hesitate to book her again.”

“Emelie and her family took very good care of dog. She kept me updated daily with pictures and text messages which was much appreciated. She has a terrific fenced in back yard which allows dogs to run around in a safe environment. Thank you Emelie!”

“Never has our German Shorthair Pointer, Reagan, come back from a dog sitter happier than when we picked him up from a two week stay with Drew yesterday. That says it all for me. Usually when we pick him up after a week or more away from him, he is yelping and crying and can’t wait to get away from the sitter and back home. Yesterday when we picked him up, he was happy to see us, but was in no hurry to leave Drew! We got regular pictures of Reagan from Drew, so we had peace of mind during our vacation that Reagan was happy and well cared for. I would definitely recommend Drew to sit for your dogs.”
“Amy was amazing with my dog, Roxy!! I highly recommend using her. Roxy is an older mini goldendoodle and Amy was so accommodating and sweet with her. I got daily updates with photos. I felt so comfortable and Amy made the process super smooth. I booked her last minute and so glad I did. I highly recommend and would use her again!”

“This was our first time trusting someone with our pup as well as our babies first time being away from us for more than a day, and I am happy to say Amanda is the best dog sitter you could ask for. She sends multiple photos/updates, has a beautiful yard, and enjoys cuddles as much as our girl does. Definitely will be rebooking with her and recommending her to close friends. Thank you again for taking care of Lady whilst we were away ! 10/10✨✨✨”

“Christin was amazing! I was a little worried because my puppy (Kiwi) is still very timid and suspicious of strangers, but Christin was very understanding and confident, that it was clear she's worked with difficult dogs before. She kept us informed of all the progress and we know Kiwi ended up relaxing and having a great time. Totally recommended and would totally rebook. Thank you!”

“Lynda is an excellent dog-sitter! She was so great to deal with- responsive, communicative and flexible with drop off and pick up times. You can definitely see how much Lynda loves dogs. Our dog is the anxious type, but Lynda worked really well with him. Thanks so much for your excellent care of Rosco!”

“Mitchell and his husband were very welcoming from the start I met them. They went above and beyond to take care of Baldur’s needs. They were flexible and attentive of Baldur’s needs. I’m happy that I chose them to be my sitter. I was concerned while being away his stimulation needs wouldn’t be met, but I was happy to see from the picture update he was smiling and having a great time. The backyard was something my dog loved as he missed this since we moved to the city. Overall I recommend Mitchell’s service to anyone that needs a trustworthy service.”

“We left our yorkie, Richie with Julia for over a week and Julia took great care of Richie, took him on regular long walks, shared pictures and videos of Richie and ensured that he ate well and kept him comfortable in her home. Thanks to Julia we were worry free about Richie on our vacation”

“Our puppy had a wonderful time with Craig! He took him on daily walks to different parks in the area. He was also very responsive and sent pictures to let us know how our little guy was doing.”

“Brad was aweosme! He shared good updates and photos/videos, and you could tell both him and my dog were having a great time. Brad was also super easy to schedule with and flexible with drop off and pick up time.”

Thalita did an AMAZING job with Louie! She watched him over our wedding weekend and it was so nice knowing he was in such good hands. She even was willing to drive Louie to the venue to take a few photos with us as we got ready. She went above and beyond and clearly just loves dogs and animals. We would definitely recommend Thalita and are so happy we found her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
