“Patty was extremely thoughtful and sweet to my senior dog for a week stay. I didn't have to worry at all, and he came back nice and tired and happy. He even made a doggie friend during his stay! Plus, she sent me some really great photos of him.”

“Zach had a good time while Dana took care of him. She did a great job working with his limited vision and keeping him active. She has a fenced area which was perfect for him to get outside. She kept me up to date with photos of him daily outside enjoying himself which was really appreciated.”
“Jetzy was awesome with our little frenchie. She provided daily updates, and was able to accommodate his special needs. Our dog had a ton of fun with Captain. Would absolutely recommend and use Jetzy and family again!”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care our dog received! Craig was absolutely amazing—attentive, kind, and clearly a true animal lover. From the start, communication was excellent. He asked all the right questions about our dog’s routine, preferences, and quirks, which immediately put us at ease. While we were away, he sent photos of how happy our dog was. It was clear our pup was getting lots of attention, exercise, and love. Craig is a true professional. We highly recommend Craig to anyone looking for reliable, compassionate pet care. We’ll definitely be booking again!”

“Amy was amazing with my dog, Roxy!! I highly recommend using her. Roxy is an older mini goldendoodle and Amy was so accommodating and sweet with her. I got daily updates with photos. I felt so comfortable and Amy made the process super smooth. I booked her last minute and so glad I did. I highly recommend and would use her again!”

“Wenji was very kind, and her daughter absolutely loves dogs, so Nina seemed to have been loved and had a great time during her one night boarding. Wenji kept me updated on Nina’s status from time to time, and I would be happy to use her boarding service next time🥰”

“We had a wonderful experience with Kat and Matt! They took great care of our two dogs over the weekend and made sure we always felt connected by sending regular photo updates. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our pups were happy, safe, and well loved. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would absolutely book with them again!”

“Amanda did a wonderful job taking care of my dog Chip. She kept me posted on how she was doing and sent pictures of Chip racing around her large fenced-in back yard. I will definitely be using Amanda again.”
“We are so thankful to have found Alexa to watch our lab, Bailey! She was very quick to respond to messages. She has a great backyard for the dogs to play. She sent lots of pictures and messages to update us on how Bailey was doing. We would definitely use her again!”

“First time our 2 labradoodles stayed with Drew overnight and it was a great experience from meet-and-greet through to pick up. Drew was punctual, responsive and very good with the dogs. He sent me photos/videos and updates during their stay and both dogs seemed very content. They were well cared for and he provided fun activities for them as well. I'd absolutely use his services again!”

“Rhea was great with my pup! She provided regular walks and updates. My fauna is a very picky eater and Rhea was very patient and understanding with her, all around excellent care!”

“Mike and Maya are incredible care takers. They send frequent photos and videos showing Meek happy and content. Lots of outside activities keeps Meek entertained. Mike is a wonderfully kind person and helped with a key problem with my car while picking up Meek and drove me to get a spare set so I could get back in. I can;'t thank Mike and Maya for the help they provided and the kindness they showed. Meek loves his stay with them”

“Rebecca was a terrific sitter. We felt so comfortable leaving our pup in her care. She kept us up to date with lots of photos and messages and we came home to a happy pup. We will definitely be using Rebecca’s services in the future.”

“I am very anxious about leaving my dog with anyone and I felt very calm and good about leaving Rosie with Christin. She was clearly very attentive. Sent me lots of updates and photos, which I always really appreciate. She gave Rosie all kinds of loving attention. I could not ask for a better situation when I have to leave my beloved dog under someone else’s care.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Devon
Spud spent one night at Thalita's, while we were at a concert. I knew he was in good hands, especially after spending a week with her earlier in the summer. Unfortunately, it was too late for me to leave a review for that stay. Spud always seems so happy staying with Thalita and her family. He is on vacation too!

We’d book again with Aimee in a heartbeat. We had an awesome experience. She watched our pup while I was recovering from surgery out of state and made everything so easy for us. Communication was effortless and prompt at every step. We arranged to have Aimee pick up our gal from a friend who had been watching her at first before having to head out of town. Pickup was seamless and made things so much easier for us and our friend. She sent us lots of updates—and a few really made us laugh. Aimee even took the time to brush her thick wooly coat after we apologized for her wild hair since her usual grooming appointment fell during the visit. When we picked up our pup, our gal was calm and happy. She also had everything packed up and ready to go when we got there, once again making it such an easy process. From the pictures she sent, it was so clear that Aimee and her husband made our dog part of their family while she was with them and that our dog had a blast.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
