“Amy was fantastic - we instantly felt comfortable with her husband and her (and, more importantly, so did the dog!). She was very detail oriented, sent pictures throughout Champ's short stay and made sure Champ got plenty of exercise. I also appreciated her policy not to take multiple dogs at once. We will definitely be repeating with Amy - the whole experience was great!”

About: I am a lifetime lover and owner of dogs. While other kids watched Saturday morning cartoons, I watched shows about dog training and dog breeds. I grew up around dogs of all types and have always loved having one by my side. Our family recently lost our dog, and while I’m not ready to commit to dog ownership full time, I miss having one around and want to help other families. I have experience walking different types of dogs that have varying levels of leash skills, managing special dietary and medication needs and can adapt to their activity requirements. If you have a dog that’s used to being part of an active family, or at least around one, I could be a great fit for you. I shared availability that accommodates long weekend boarding needs. This is when I consistently work from home or am off so that I can be around and give your dog the best care. You can expect regular breaks and walks for your dog on my work from home days. On the weekends, I will include your dog in my family activities. While busy, I am at our home base a lot, and much of the activity involves walking the borough, going on mini adventures in nearby parks, or hanging at our house with friends. Including a furry guest into my family-centered lifestyle is easy (and fun!) for me to do. I have a fenced in yard, live in an extremely walkable neighborhood, and have a gated off mudroom when your dog needs a little more space or down time. My kids understand animal boundaries well for their age and are used to respecting their space. While they will not be responsible for your dog’s care, they will be around. My cat is suspicious, but typically tolerant of dogs once he gets used to them.
“George was fabulous with Cannoli! He was super responsive and sent me adorable photos of my baby throughout the stay. Cannoli enjoyed playing with George’s dogs who are also sweet and lovable! Would definitely book with George again!”

“We are so grateful to have found Ulku and Andrew! They were so kind and wonderful to work with and our dog seemed to have had the best time! Their backyard was a real treat for our dog and the picture and video updates were awesome. We really hope to be able to work with them again in the future!”

“My dog doesn't like to be away from home, but Rhea makes her feel comfortable and takes excellent care of all her needs, also during the recent heat wave. Sage was happy and in great shape when I returned after a longer trip. While I was away, Rhea kept me up-to-date on how Sage was doing, which is very helpful for peace of mind. I will always ask Rhea when I need help with dog sitting. I highly recommend her.”

“Michell is a great dogsitter!! He is very communicative and sends pictures regularly. Most importantly, our dog always comes home happy and healthy! We highly recommend using Michell for boarding!”

“Tamikia is so kind and dependable. And my dog seriously did not want to leave when I came to pick her up. I got photos and videos every day, and Tamikia was available before my trip to do a meet and greet at her house. My dog has dietary issues and sometimes comes home with an upset stomach when she is boarded with someone who has dogs and/or cats because of getting into someone else's food but that was not the case this time. I am going to book with Tamikia for my next trip!”

“Rebecca watched my 9 year old Aussie shepherd for 2 weeks while I was on vacation and I couldn’t recommend her more! She was attentive to her needs and provided lots of updates/pictures during the stay. I was anxious leaving my pup away for so long but Rebecca made my entire trip stress free by how well she cared for my dog! Will definitely be booking her in the future. Highly recommend.”

“Bryce was fantastic! Teddy loved being there and will still try to go into the house any time we walk past, which I take as a great sign! Will 100% be booking again when needed.”

“Christin was great with Santos! He seemed so happy to be there. It was apparent that she is a natural dog lover who appreciates different canine personalities. She cared for him during the most trying times of doing so with any dog, involving historic cold weather. And went above and beyond the duty of just 'watching him'. Communication was great and I will not hesitate to use her again”

“Emelie took great care of our dog Stanley for his first night away from us. She let us do a meet and greet and was able to answer our questions ahead of the stay. There were a couple of other dogs there which was great for Stanley, who is a very social pup. Her house is set up well for the dogs with a big yard and different rooms inside. We plan to bring Stanley back!”

“Marco was treated like a king. He was taken to the dog park regularly, given cuddles…when I picked him up, he gave Audrey a long, loving goodbye. I absolutely would use her again.”

About: I’ve grown up taking care of two Labradors and French Bulldog! I have experience with providing walks, meals, and medications to puppies and senior dogs Currently a half-day Villanova senior, so I am around most afternoons and evenings, as well as weekends. After 2pm is ideal, with the exception of Wednesday nights I have a quiet, pet-safe apartment (no access to candles, flowers, sharp objects). I would be happy to set up a crate, food and water bowls, or pet beds.

“Shandara took care of my dog Freckles, as well as another dog, and her own for a few days. She did a meet and greet, sent me updates constantly, and was very professional. I would have her sit again for me.”

“Enes and Stephanie were Great. My 13 month Frenchie has alot of energy and can be a handful. They Sent pictures and updates all day long for her weekend stay, we picked her up and shes exhausted. Thanks for a great Stay”

“Maya’s place is home away home for Mickey.. Mickey is always well taken care of and tired playing when I pick him up … She has a big beautiful fenced-in backyard which is a park for Mickey and her dogs. I will never think twice if I must board Mickey, and if Maya is available…”
“Great place for dogs to spend the night. Laura knows a lot about dogs and follow all the instructions for my dog. We will definitely be rebooking her services in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Newtown Square
George was amazing with my pup. My 5-lb Yorkie is quite anxious, but seemed at ease with George from drop off. I received plenty of pics and updates. My dog was quite relaxed at pickup, and George worked with me as I was a bit early for my pickup window. Would highly recommend - George really does seem like a "dog whisperer". 5 stars!

We had a great first experience boarding our dog at Yufan’s house. My dogs absolutely loved him and felt comfortable right away. He was also very convenient and flexible when I needed to add extra days to the stay. I really appreciated how accommodating and caring he was. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
