“Christin was great with Santos! He seemed so happy to be there. It was apparent that she is a natural dog lover who appreciates different canine personalities. She cared for him during the most trying times of doing so with any dog, involving historic cold weather. And went above and beyond the duty of just 'watching him'. Communication was great and I will not hesitate to use her again”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care our dog received! Craig was absolutely amazing—attentive, kind, and clearly a true animal lover. From the start, communication was excellent. He asked all the right questions about our dog’s routine, preferences, and quirks, which immediately put us at ease. While we were away, he sent photos of how happy our dog was. It was clear our pup was getting lots of attention, exercise, and love. Craig is a true professional. We highly recommend Craig to anyone looking for reliable, compassionate pet care. We’ll definitely be booking again!”

“Rachel was a fantastic pet sitter for our frenchie Josie. She was so attentive, kind, understanding and thoughtful. Josie was welcomed and felt right at home immediately. I would recommend Rachel to anyone who needs exceptional care for their dog.”

“We’ve had Audrey watch our dogs multiple times. Every time we pick them up, it’s evident that they feel right at home and adore Audrey. We would absolutely recommend her to everyone.”

“Gregory was very responsive to my last minute request for boarding. My dog is little and anxious, and I was not sure how she would do with another dog as large as Koda, Gregory’s dog. But Koda turned out to be very well trained and had a lovely calm demeanor. Maya was very comfortable and I will definitely be using Gregory again!”

“Shandara took care of my dog Freckles, as well as another dog, and her own for a few days. She did a meet and greet, sent me updates constantly, and was very professional. I would have her sit again for me.”

“Enes and Stephanie were Great. My 13 month Frenchie has alot of energy and can be a handful. They Sent pictures and updates all day long for her weekend stay, we picked her up and shes exhausted. Thanks for a great Stay”

“First I used Sharna at the last minute on an holiday weekend and she and her family welcomed Poc and Poki with open arms and took them right into her home. She treated them as if they were her own. Sharna played with them and walked them every day. Poc and Poki were so happy there they didn’t want to leave when I picked them up. I would refer everyone to her if they want their pets cared for properly !”

“Christopher really put my mind at ease when I felt anxious about leaving Mochi for an extended boarding stay in an unfamiliar city. Mochi got more exercise than he ever gets with me and Christopher’s family’s home is beautiful and dog friendly (lots of doggie toys, cuddles on sofa, etc). I was a little worried about encounters with other dogs on walks (Mochi can be selectively dog aggressive). Christopher handled him like a champ and had no issues at all. There was a little trouble with medications, but in Chris’s defense- Mochi really doesn’t like the honkin’ large intercepter chew and it can be tough to fool him into eating it. I was concerned that I found pieces of the medicine mixed in with Mochi’s food in the big food bag- I believe Mochi just didn’t eat it and Chris mixed the leftover food (with medicine) back into the food bag. Overall I am very happy with Christopher and would use him again. Highly recommend!”

“Kristina took amazing care of Darby!! She bought her toys and treats. I could tell Darby had a great time and I enjoyed my vacation knowing my dog was in good hands :)”

“Megan did a great job caring for Ruby and I appreciated that she was willing to meet up beforehand to make sure that her dog and Ruby would get along. I’d happily book Megan again!”

“We did boarding with Mel for the first time this weekend after multiple days of daycare in the past! As expected, everything was great! Reviewed multiple photos of Cannoli throughout the day and he seemed very happy his entire time there! Would highly recommend!”

“Jennifer was everything that we needed for our puppy for long term boarding. She walked us through the process and exceeded all of our expectations. She kept is updated with daily videos and pictures of our Diana. This was our first time using this service but we feel we’ve found our go to person from here on.”

About: I am a lifetime lover and owner of dogs. While other kids watched Saturday morning cartoons, I watched shows about dog training and dog breeds. I grew up around dogs of all types and have always loved having one by my side. Our family recently lost our dog, and while I’m not ready to commit to dog ownership full time, I miss having one around and want to help other families. I have experience walking different types of dogs that have varying levels of leash skills, managing special dietary and medication needs and can adapt to their activity requirements. If you have a dog that’s used to being part of an active family, or at least around one, I could be a great fit for you. I shared availability that accommodates long weekend boarding needs. This is when I consistently work from home or am off so that I can be around and give your dog the best care. You can expect regular breaks and walks for your dog on my work from home days. On the weekends, I will include your dog in my family activities. While busy, I am at our home base a lot, and much of the activity involves walking the borough, going on mini adventures in nearby parks, or hanging at our house with friends. Including a furry guest into my family-centered lifestyle is easy (and fun!) for me to do. I have a fenced in yard, live in an extremely walkable neighborhood, and have a gated off mudroom when your dog needs a little more space or down time. My kids understand animal boundaries well for their age and are used to respecting their space. While they will not be responsible for your dog’s care, they will be around. My cat is suspicious, but typically tolerant of dogs once he gets used to them.

“Sarah was so welcoming to our dog, Frankie, and she sent pictures throughout his stay. He had a blast running through her yard and playing with her dogs. Frankie will be back to stay with Sarah again!”

Clear communication, quick responses, and my dog seemed to have a blast! Will definitely be coming back. My flight got delayed by a day and David was able to accommodate the change. Really appreciate it. David is also super close to Philly airport, very convenient for anyone traveling and looking for a sitter near the airport.

This was my first time using Rover. And boy am I glad that I did. I found the perfect sitter.Nuzhat was highly professional sent me pictures throughout my cats nine days stay and when my trip got delayed was very helpful with letting My Sister pick my babies up. I will definitely be reaching out to her in the future thank you so much, Rover.

George was amazing with my pup. My 5-lb Yorkie is quite anxious, but seemed at ease with George from drop off. I received plenty of pics and updates. My dog was quite relaxed at pickup, and George worked with me as I was a bit early for my pickup window. Would highly recommend - George really does seem like a "dog whisperer". 5 stars!

We had a great first experience boarding our dog at Yufan’s house. My dogs absolutely loved him and felt comfortable right away. He was also very convenient and flexible when I needed to add extra days to the stay. I really appreciated how accommodating and caring he was. Highly recommend!

Joan was great with Midnight! Midnight went right with her when it was time for us to go and didn’t think twice about us leaving. That has not happened before with other dog sitters. Joan was responsive when I checked in and sent a picture as well. Midnight seemed right at home. It was a smooth and pleasant experience. We will book her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
