“We cannot recommend Adam enough as a house/dog sitter. It is always so hard to find someone trustworthy enough to stay in our home and take care of our amazing boy. Adam was communicative, trustworthy, and reliable allowing for us to have a relaxing vacation knowing that our pup was safe. We have a 2 year old doberman who is not always the quickest to warm up to people, however he took to Adam quickly and truly enjoy his stay with him. In addition, the house was in excellent condition when we returned and Loki was happy and well exercised. Will absolutely book Adam again for future sitting opportunities and strongly recommend him to sit your pup.”

“Roxanne was amazing! She is reliable, caring, and incredibly easy to work with. Our older dog has GI issues and can be very finicky, so it’s never easy for us to leave her, but Roxanne took wonderful care of her and made us feel completely at ease. She also did a great job caring for our two cats. Roxanne sent twice-daily updates with photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She was also very flexible when scheduling our meet and greet, especially when we had to adjust due to some medical issues with our dog. This was easily the smoothest experience we’ve had leaving our pets. If she’s available the next time we go away, we will absolutely book with Roxanne again. Highly recommend! 🐾”

“Alexis is a wonderful dog sitter and my doggie just loves her. I feel completely comfortable while traveling knowing that my dog is well cared for. Highly recommended.”

“Abigail was amazing with our two big dogs, especially Buddy who is extremely anxious! She was kind, professional, and showed up exactly on time. Abigail treated my house with as much care as my dogs! She really helped me out last minute after another sitter canceled- she came over that day to do a meet and greet and was watching them less than 24 hours later! I will happily hire her again!”

“Kathy was great with our boy Roadie. He is a rescue and has some fear. She saw this right away and won him over so quickly. She went outside with him every time he went out even though our yard is fenced in and she never left him alone. They became best buddies in no time. It was such a relief to have her at our home to take care of him. It was also nice of her to clean up!”

“Angela was very attentive to the pets and kept me informed with plenty of updates throughout the day. She was very polite and professional - I will certainly book her again in the future.”

“Yujie is so kind and caring, and took such great care of our animals and our house while we were away. Our dog can be anxious with new people, but she felt comfortable with Yujie right away and was also so calm and happy when we returned from our trip as well! So glad to have found Yujie and we look forward to booking her again :)”

“Raquel is a delight. She is warm and responsible. Listens carefully to all instructions for watching your beloved pet and follows through. I recommend her without reservation!!”

“Gave him 5 stars because the app won’t let me give him 10 ⭐️! Communicates frequently, took of my our high energy dog, and kept the house clean!!! Jeffrey was the best dog watcher we’ve had!”

About: Of course I love animals, but what matters more to me is noticing who your pet actually is. Are they the kind of dog who needs to sniff the same corner for five minutes before moving on? Are they a little shy at first and pretending not to care? Do they get excited easily and need someone calm around them? Are they a cat who wants company, but absolutely not too much company? I really enjoy figuring out those little things. I’m gentle, patient, and very respectful of each pet’s routine. I don’t believe in rushing them or treating every animal the same. Some pets need play and attention, some need slow walks and quiet reassurance, and some just need someone kind nearby so the house does not feel empty. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in a way that still feels familiar to them. I’m also very careful with instructions. Feeding routines, medications, walk preferences, favorite toys, things that scare them, how they like to be greeted, whether they are allowed on the couch. I want to know all of it. I know these details are not “extra.” They are usually the things that make a pet feel secure. I’ll also send updates and photos, not just to say everything is fine, but so you can actually feel connected to them while you are away. My childhood friend and roommate, Matin, may also help me sometimes, and you may see her in some of my photos. She has had pets since childhood and fostered animals for several years, so she is very used to different personalities, nervous pets, affectionate pets, and animals who need a little extra patience. She is calm, loving, and very responsible, and I trust her completely with animals. Between the two of us, your pet will be cared for by people who genuinely like being around animals, but who also understand that trust matters. I’ll treat your pet with warmth, patience, and care, and I’ll treat your home and instructions with respect. This year, much of my work is remote, which gives me real flexibility in my schedule. That means I’m able to spend unrushed, attentive time with pets, not just quick check-ins, but actual companionship, care, and presence. I can shape my day around walks, visits, feeding times, play, and quiet company, depending on what each pet needs. My childhood friend and roommate, Matin, who is included in the pictures, also helps me out with my Rover schedules. My home is my cat Lilo’s safe little kingdom, so I can’t host other pets here. But I’m very happy to come to your home, meet outside for walks, or figure out a setup that feels easy and comfortable for you and your pet.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs for friends and friends for the past 5 years. I am a full-time teacher, and I pet sit in my spare time! I am responsible and good at communing with pet parents. Also, I am used to dealing with high-energy dogs. I have a 2-and-a-half year old Goldendoodle! I am a full-time teacher. I am typically available to pet sit nights and weekends. During the summer, I am free on Wednesday and Thursdays! I will follow all specific instructions when your dog stays with us. I can easily crate your dog if needed. I can provide frequent walks if your dog stays with us! Our Goldendoodle is very friendly and would love to meet your dog before they stay with us.
“Cole was spectacular with our older basset hounds. He was able to get both of them on walks (not easy with one being a little grumpy with new people). Both dogs while happy to see us, didn’t seem like they had been stressed while we were away- a big improvement for us! Cole also kept our home on great order, dealt with a clogged sink, and even watered my plants (without me asking!). We can’t wait to use him again for future times away- the boys seemed to enjoy his presence.”

About: I take very good care of my own dog. I care about animals very much. I teach second graders. I love kids too. I’m a mature mom with the summers off. I’m an elementary school teacher. I am off for the summer. I love dogs and I would love to help out anyone who needs a dog sitter. I tutor two days a week. My kids are grown . I’m an empty nester. This would be a great way for me to fill my time. I love to snuggle with my dog. I take her to the nearby trail for walks. I also like to play ball with her in the backyard. She loves when I make her a long too.

“I HIGHLY recommend Lily as a pet sitter. We left her with our cat in our house for 5 days and she took very good care of him (and of the house!). She is very professional, responsive and accommodating. Communication was always very fast and everything went perfectly. Our cat can get anxious when we are away for a long time but we found him happy and relaxed when we got back so that was a success! We will be recurrent client for sure. Thank you Lily!!”

“Went above and beyond with our pets, Harvey and Aurora. 100% recommend. Harvey, Aurora, and our home were well taken care of. Very communicative and we received updates multiple times throughout the day. Anyone would be lucky to have Ahmirah watch their pets. Thank you so much for everything!”

“We’ve used Bill several times to watch our pup, Lincoln and he’s been fabulous every time. He communicates, sends cute photo updates and takes care of the house for us when we’re gone. Would use him again and recommend him to anyone that would like a reliable pet sitter for their pets! Thank you, Bill!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Broomall
Eva came through for us at the last minute when we had to travel unexpectedly for a family emergency. Our dog absolutely loved her from the moment they met and we felt reassured that she was in good hands with Eva throughout the trip. Eva gave her lots of love, reassurance, snuggles, and care while we were gone, even asking about our dogs preferences while we were away to make sure our pup had everything she needs. We would definitely book Eva again in the future and highly recommend!

Kathy was great with our boy Roadie. He is a rescue and has some fear. She saw this right away and won him over so quickly. She went outside with him every time he went out even though our yard is fenced in and she never left him alone. They became best buddies in no time. It was such a relief to have her at our home to take care of him. It was also nice of her to clean up!

Morgan did a great job watching our puppy for a weekend! Juni can be nervous and fearful of new people, Morgan came for a meet and greet, learned about her routine and asked good questions. She was responsive when we reached out to check in, and Juni seems to have warmed up to her very quickly! We are so grateful to have found Morgan!

Kevin is an incredibly warm-hearted and caring person! We hired him to stay with our 10 year old dog and 6 year old cat in our home for 5 nights. Our dog is not an easy customer. She’s quite anxious and she generally distrusts all strangers, but Kevin was able to win over her heart and shower her with love and affection! He sent pictures and videos each day, and we were so comforted to know our pets were happy and thriving under his care and feeling safe in the familiar surroundings of their own home. Kevin took excellent care of our pets and the house, and we would absolutely hire him again in the future!

FAQs for House Sitting - Broomall
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Broomall on Rover is $37.45 per night (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of June 2026, there are 5,763 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Broomall. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Broomall walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Broomall maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Broomall choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Broomall. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
