“Yujie is so kind and caring, and took such great care of our animals and our house while we were away. Our dog can be anxious with new people, but she felt comfortable with Yujie right away and was also so calm and happy when we returned from our trip as well! So glad to have found Yujie and we look forward to booking her again :)”

“Roxanne is very reliable and took excellent care of Pua while we were away on vacation. Having her staying in the house gave us peace of mind because it was comforting to Pua, we knew meals and meds were administered as prescribed, and also helpful for us to have someone keeping an eye on our home. We loved receiving photos and video of Pua every day from Roxanne. We could relax, knowing that Pua and Roxanne were bonding and keeping to her normal schedule.”

“Angela went above and beyond while staying with my two old dogs for the weekend. She provided updates with pictures, managed my dogs meds, and kept them calm and comfortable while I was away (despite anxiety, storms, and fireworks!). I knew I didn’t need to worry about my dogs at all while they were in Angela’s care. I came home to two calm pups and an immaculate house. I feel we hit the jackpot with Angela!”

“We cannot recommend Adam enough as a house/dog sitter. It is always so hard to find someone trustworthy enough to stay in our home and take care of our amazing boy. Adam was communicative, trustworthy, and reliable allowing for us to have a relaxing vacation knowing that our pup was safe. We have a 2 year old doberman who is not always the quickest to warm up to people, however he took to Adam quickly and truly enjoy his stay with him. In addition, the house was in excellent condition when we returned and Loki was happy and well exercised. Will absolutely book Adam again for future sitting opportunities and strongly recommend him to sit your pup.”

“Laura is professional, communicative, and wonderful with pets! We had to leave town last minute for a family emergency and were super grateful to find Laura. We had her stay at our home and were pleased to find everything clean and organized when we returned, and we got multiple pics of our pup each day! Would 100% recommend!”

“Alexis is a wonderful dog sitter and my doggie just loves her. I feel completely comfortable while traveling knowing that my dog is well cared for. Highly recommended.”

“Joanna took such great care of our two dogs and our house while we were away for a week. Her dog Henry is very sweet and seemed to get along quite well with our dogs too. I would highly recommend her!”

“Taylor was absolutely amazing! She met our dog beforehand to form a connection, she transported him to and from his kennel, she treated him like one of her own, and she sent tons of photos and videos. I felt so at peace knowing that Taylor was taking great care of him. I’m so glad we found Taylor!!”

“We’ve been searching for years for a reliable dogsitter and house sitter and we are so thankful that we found Marisa this year! She has stayed with our dogs several times this year and it makes traveling so much easier and less stressful knowing that she is at our home taking such great care of our pups! We love getting her daily updates and pictures and our dogs always look so happy, comfortable, and well taken care of. Marisa is truly incredible with our dogs — she makes our anxious dog feel comfortable and has such a calming energy that she’s even able to get her out of her comfort zone. She also takes such amazing care of our senior pup, gives him his meds, and makes sure to give him plenty of attention and love. And without even asking her to do this, she leaves our home spotless, sometimes I think it’s even cleaner than how we left it! Marisa is truly the greatest and we are beyond grateful to have found her! We’ll continue to use Marisa anytime we go out of town!”

About: I have cared for my own pets (two cats and a dog) for over 8 years and have hands-on experience working in animal shelters. I understand how to build trust and friendships with animals, ensuring they feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I work from home on Mondays and Fridays, and from Tuesday to Thursday I’m available after 5:00 PM to take care of your fur babies. I’m also available on weekends upon request. :) For client homes, I follow the owner’s instructions closely to keep pets in their familiar routine—whether that’s feeding, walking, play, or medication. I focus on making sure each pet feels loved, safe, and well looked after.
“Kala stayed overnight with our two husky/shepherds and did a fantastic job! Our one dog can be slow to warm up to new people so I was nervous to leave her, but she took to Kala in no time which made me feel so much more at ease! Kala was professional, communicative, respectful of our home, followed all instructions, and was just generally on top of things. We so appreciate her thorough care!!”

I carefully follow all instructions provided by pet owners, including feeding schedules, medications, walk routines, crate instructions, and any behavioral or safety considerations. I understand how important consistency is for pets, especially when their owners are away, so I always try to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I also provide regular communication, updates, and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I am respectful, clean, dependable, and focused on creating a calm and safe environment for your pet.
“I couldn't ask for a better dog/ house sitter than Conor. He was comunicative to us and loving and attentive to my "Nervous Nelly" of a Wheaten, Pia. He paid attention to every detail from keeping the water bowls full and fresh during our heat wave to comforting Pia during thunderstorms. She loved him. The house was tidy, the bed stripped, the trash taken out and all the poop was picked-up! We are definitely going to use his services again! 😀”

“Gave him 5 stars because the app won’t let me give him 10 ⭐️! Communicates frequently, took of my our high energy dog, and kept the house clean!!! Jeffrey was the best dog watcher we’ve had!”

“Noelle was SO great with Wiley! He is a special needs German shepherd, she was so good with all of his medical quirks and meds! She sent us so many photos, which we loved to see how our boy was doing! Wiley has found a new favorite person!”

“Kathy was an exceptional dog sitter for our baby! She was great with him, sent updates and pics daily, left our home immaculate, and really seemed to enjoy spending the time with Biggie. We will surely be requesting her help in the future!”

Lilly did an amazing job with my 8.5 year old pug. She stayed with him for one week and I was thrilled he was able to stay in his routine with minimal stress (4th of July fireworks and thunderstorms excluded). She was great with communication and daily pictures. I would highly recommend her and will be using her in the future.

Alexandra was absolutely the best, I had zero hesitation leaving her in charge of our dog and home! She was quick to respond to messages both before and during the stay. She sent updates and photos while we were away, and our dog was clearly happy and having fun with her. The house was probably cleaner when we got home than when we left! I would absolutely call on her again the next time we go away!
This was our second time having Roxanne stay with our dogs while we were away on a week + long trip. She sent us updates every day and we felt so fortunate to have peace of mind while traveling that we didn’t have to worry about our dogs. She took great care of them and of our home.

WOW!! is all we can say. Allison quickly answered our request and worked with us to set up a meeting. The house sitting went very smoothly. Our original booking was suppose to end on Sunday however due to the snow storm our flight got canceled. She was able to accommodate the change for another day. We made it half way home before the second part of our flight was cancelled and yet again she was flexible to change the booking again. We honestly do not know what we would have done without her. She was an amazing person to work with and will be added to my list of house sitters we will look for in the future.

This is the first time I have left Stella with anyone besides family, and Ashley was amazing. Stella stayed with Ashley in her home for 10 days while I took a family trip overseas. She kept us updated with pictures and texts. She took care of Stella like she was her own dog giving her lots of love and attention. Ashely was very accommodating , allowing us to pick her up late when our flight was delayed. She also groomed her daily, and had her looking great at pickup. I would definitely recommend her services and would use her again.
Gunnar was great! We were relieved to find someone who was comfortable with our two Newfoundland dogs. They are low maintenance this time of year but it takes a certain person to see past the slobber and hair to the gentle giants they are. Gunnar came to meet the dogs and see our house before our trip. He checked in regularly and proactively communicated with us while we were out of town. We would absolutely book with Gunnar again if the opportunity arises! Thank you, Gunnar!

Tommy stayed at our home and watched our 1 year old puppy, Ralph, for 4 days / 3 nights in July. Ralph loved him from the start - which made us feel better about leaving him for the long weekend. Tommy communicated well throughout the booking process, and arrived right on time. He kept us updated on Ralph during our vacation, and never left us hanging. We came back to a clean home, and a happy and healthy pup. Ralph isn’t easy - he requires a lot of attention, playtime, and even to be carried up the stairs right now - not a single complaint from our sitter! We would highly recommend Tommy for any of your house and dog sitting needs.

FAQs for House Sitting - Wyola
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Wyola on Rover is $61.05 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 5,816 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Wyola. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wyola walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wyola maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wyola choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wyola. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
