About: Ive had been taken care of my past dogs and current dog for almost my entire life. I also take full care of my cat. I work with cats twice a week at a rescue shelter, and I did a short period working a doggy daycare facility. I can work full time during week, during the afternoons. I will be working at my job in the morning but will be fully free in the afternoons. Weekends may vary depending when I get a request. I make sure the pet gets enough play time outside, by either walking or playing with the pet. Make sure that the environment isn’t too loud or overstimulating, especially if there is more than one animal in the house.

After college, I volunteered for Monster Milers taking shelter dogs from Street Tails Animal Rescue out for runs to help them burn energy and become more adoptable. A fawn pug who lived until 9 years old, a black pug who lived until 17 years old, and a Alaskan Malamute/Husky/Amstaff mix (107lbs) that lived until he was 13 and we recently lost. I currently have a ton of flexibility outside of my kids to help with your pups, but generally, I'm home a lot and very active so lots of room to get your pup out for long walks and exercise/stimulation. I use a gentle leader that helps minimize impact on their throat and also is very effective with pulling, but can be flexible to your sitch.

We wake up 6:00am for the first walk, and a short walk every 3~5 hours. My working station is in the family room right next to dogs, so I can take care of the dogs quickly if anything happened. We have a cleared family room with a safe gate, the whole space is belong to the dogs. We also have a fully fenced backyard that allows dogs to burn their energy and enjoy the fresh air.

This obviously includes the essential like making sure he stays hydrated, but also making sure he gets enough enrichment. I practice enrichment's with him, and come up with fun ways to make sure his brain is getting enough stimulation. I also take him on walks regularly, and when walking observe body language to make sure he’s in a comfortable environment. And of course plenty of treats. In fact I like to make homemade treats, because my dog has a sensitive stomach.

She is always punctual and communicative when the schedule needs to change. I appreciate that she always sends pictures and updates of how the pups are doing and keeps me posted of their shenanigans like when they got into their wet food the other day. She even cleaned it up and put the food away for me. If you are looking for someone to take care of your pups I highly recommend Chen! She is great!”

I was pleasantly surprised that when I arrived to pick up my Coco Chanel she didn't want to leave. “WOW - I don't even know where to start. I've been boarding / working with pet sitter's for over 14 years and Christin is top tier. Not only is her home so perfect for dogs (a big backyard?! such a treat!), her demeanor and understanding of dog behavior makes her one of the best. When we had our meet-and-greet my pups instantly starting showing signs of being relaxed (playing with toys and eating bones which never happens at new places) and kept going up to Christin for pets and love. Christin provided ample updates and photos and was super understanding of the quirks and difficulties of caring for a senior pup. It's hard to leave my 15.5 year old dog but I trusted Christin immediately. I will be re-booking for sure even just for single days for my dogs to enjoy her yard.”
