About: I’ve been caring for animals since grade school and truly can’t remember a time without pets in my life. I grew up with two dogs, Bailey and Shakespeare, a cat named Tooka, and a rotating cast of birds, fish, hermit crabs, and other small chaos-makers. I’m very comfortable with all kinds of pets, personalities, and quirks. 😊 For over a decade, I’ve been my sister’s go-to pet sitter, and more recently I spent three years in Southern Vermont house and pet sitting, caring for homes and animals of all shapes, sizes, and energy levels. As a seasoned thru hiker and outdoor enthusiast, I love taking pups for long walks and soaking up the sun. I’m quick to respond, reliable, and responsible. I also genuinely love hanging out with animals and making sure they feel safe, relaxed, and a bit spoiled while you’re away. I recently returned home from New Zealand, where I spent four months thru-hiking the length of the country. I’m now back in the suburbs of Philadelphia working as a substitute teacher. I’m an early riser and usually wrap up with work around 2:30pm. That schedule gives me plenty of flexibility for pet care. “We cannot recommend Adam enough as a house/dog sitter. It is always so hard to find someone trustworthy enough to stay in our home and take care of our amazing boy. Adam was communicative, trustworthy, and reliable allowing for us to have a relaxing vacation knowing that our pup was safe. We have a 2 year old doberman who is not always the quickest to warm up to people, however he took to Adam quickly and truly enjoy his stay with him. In addition, the house was in excellent condition when we returned and Loki was happy and well exercised. We recently got our dog as a rescue, and she's very nervous around new people, so I was worried about leaving her for a week. But Kathy spent an hour walking her and getting to know her once a week for the three weeks prior to her stay so that our dog would be comfortable. She clearly loves dogs and was dedicated to being here all day with the dog while we were away (not in an out for other work or errands etc). She took our dog out for multiple walks each day and played with her in the yard. She seny us twice a day pictures and updates. To top it off, our house was spotless when we returned (cleaner than we left it!).”
