About: I’ve been caring for animals since grade school and truly can’t remember a time without pets in my life. I grew up with two dogs, Bailey and Shakespeare, a cat named Tooka, and a rotating cast of birds, fish, hermit crabs, and other small chaos-makers. I’m very comfortable with all kinds of pets, personalities, and quirks. 😊 For over a decade, I’ve been my sister’s go-to pet sitter, and more recently I spent three years in Southern Vermont house and pet sitting, caring for homes and animals of all shapes, sizes, and energy levels. As a seasoned thru hiker and outdoor enthusiast, I love taking pups for long walks and soaking up the sun. I’m quick to respond, reliable, and responsible. I also genuinely love hanging out with animals and making sure they feel safe, relaxed, and a bit spoiled while you’re away. I recently returned home from New Zealand, where I spent four months thru-hiking the length of the country. I’m now back in the suburbs of Philadelphia working as a substitute teacher. I’m an early riser and usually wrap up with work around 2:30pm. That schedule gives me plenty of flexibility for pet care. I’m available for morning feedings and walks, afternoon check-ins after school, and evening visits as needed. “We cannot recommend Adam enough as a house/dog sitter. It is always so hard to find someone trustworthy enough to stay in our home and take care of our amazing boy. Adam was communicative, trustworthy, and reliable allowing for us to have a relaxing vacation knowing that our pup was safe. We have a 2 year old doberman who is not always the quickest to warm up to people, however he took to Adam quickly and truly enjoy his stay with him. In addition, the house was in excellent condition when we returned and Loki was happy and well exercised. “Kathy knows dogs and people. She is easy to work with and put our family at ease about leaving. We recently got our dog as a rescue, and she's very nervous around new people, so I was worried about leaving her for a week. But Kathy spent an hour walking her and getting to know her once a week for the three weeks prior to her stay so that our dog would be comfortable. She clearly loves dogs and was dedicated to being here all day with the dog while we were away (not in an out for other work or errands etc). She took our dog out for multiple walks each day and played with her in the yard. She seny us twice a day pictures and updates. To top it off, our house was spotless when we returned (cleaner than we left it!).”

She took the time to do both a virtual meet-and-greet and an in-person visit beforehand to make sure she and Panda were a good fit and that she was familiar with everything. During the sitting, she kept me updated with regular messages and photos, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. She also made sure Panda got plenty of activity, taking him on at least three walks. This was our second time having Roxanne stay with our dogs while we were away on a week + long trip. She sent us updates every day and we felt so fortunate to have peace of mind while traveling that we didn’t have to worry about our dogs. She took great care of them and of our home.
Carol was by far the best sitter we have ever had and was an absolute angel by willingly taking our dog to the emergency vet and sitting with him for 4 hours on the last night of her stay. We were being overly cautious but following the recommendation of our vet to bring him in (not because of anything she did) and Carol was a great partner in this in making sure I was on the phone in the room and also providing necessary inputs. Throughout the trip, though, she was extremely communicative and extremely attentive to every one of our requests and following his routine. Brody is a very needy boy, but she handled him so well and provided excellent care. Could not recommend her enough and will be using her in the future!
Kathy was great with our boy Roadie. He is a rescue and has some fear. She saw this right away and won him over so quickly. She went outside with him every time he went out even though our yard is fenced in and she never left him alone. They became best buddies in no time. It was such a relief to have her at our home to take care of him. It was also nice of her to clean up!
Kevin is an incredibly warm-hearted and caring person! We hired him to stay with our 10 year old dog and 6 year old cat in our home for 5 nights. Our dog is not an easy customer. She’s quite anxious and she generally distrusts all strangers, but Kevin was able to win over her heart and shower her with love and affection! He sent pictures and videos each day, and we were so comforted to know our pets were happy and thriving under his care and feeling safe in the familiar surroundings of their own home. Kevin took excellent care of our pets and the house, and we would absolutely hire him again in the future!
Julia is hands down the BEST dog walker/sitter out there! She really goes above and beyond. From finding alternative non-pavement activities for our dog on hot days to cleaning our house & leaving behind crocheted dog bandanas while dog sitting, Julia always leaves us feeling impressed. We felt so at ease leaving our dog in her care while on vacation, and received such consistent updates that we didn’t need to check in, not even once. We are so grateful we found her!
