“Carol was by far the best sitter we have ever had and was an absolute angel by willingly taking our dog to the emergency vet and sitting with him for 4 hours on the last night of her stay. We were being overly cautious but following the recommendation of our vet to bring him in (not because of anything she did) and Carol was a great partner in this in making sure I was on the phone in the room and also providing necessary inputs. Throughout the trip, though, she was extremely communicative and extremely attentive to every one of our requests and following his routine. Brody is a very needy boy, but she handled him so well and provided excellent care. Could not recommend her enough and will be using her in the future!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals since grade school and truly can’t remember a time without pets in my life. I grew up with two dogs, Bailey and Shakespeare, a cat named Tooka, and a rotating cast of birds, fish, hermit crabs, and other small chaos-makers. I’m very comfortable with all kinds of pets, personalities, and quirks. 😊 For over a decade, I’ve been my sister’s go-to pet sitter, and more recently I spent three years in Southern Vermont house and pet sitting, caring for homes and animals of all shapes, sizes, and energy levels. “Cole was spectacular with our older basset hounds. He was able to get both of them on walks (not easy with one being a little grumpy with new people). Both dogs while happy to see us, didn’t seem like they had been stressed while we were away- a big improvement for us! Cole also kept our home on great order, dealt with a clogged sink, and even watered my plants (without me asking!). We can’t wait to use him again for future times away- the boys seemed to enjoy his presence.”

About: I have had dogs since I was a kid and have walked dogs and pet sat through high school and college. I am excited to meet your pups! I am home for the summer before I start a full-time job. I have tons of dog walking availability between studying for the LSAT and I am super flexible! I am happy to feed, walk, crate, and play with your pups while you’re away. I love long walks and can follow any directions you leave me.

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs of all ages since I was 18 years old! I’m a cat owner of 4 years myself as well, and my kitty is my very best friend. As far as sitting, I have done mostly done overnight stays, but I have done pop ins and walking as well. I’ve sat for small dogs and large, puppies, kittens and elderly pups. I absolutely love spending time around and caring for animals. I do work part time, usually averaging about 5 shifts a week. I make my own schedule biweekly, and my shifts are generally no more than 5-6 hours, so my hours are extremely flexible depending on when I’m needed! I am all for play, walking, and unlimited pets when I dog/cat sit. I will pay careful attention when it comes to letting them out if there is a fenced yard, as well as to their collar and leash prior to taking them out on walks. A pet owners directions are very important to me as far as feeding/potty/medication times, and I take the responsibility of caring for any animal very seriously.
