When caring for pets, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and calm environment while keeping their routine as consistent as possible. With my own dog, Pete, I always made sure his environment was secure, accessible, clean, and stress-free, especially as he got older. In a client’s home, I would carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding schedules, walks, medication, crating, house rules, and routines to help pets feel comfortable and maintain familiarity while their owner is away. I understand that every dog has different needs and personalities, so I adapt my care style accordingly. I also make sure pets receive plenty of attention, affection, playtime, exercise, bathroom breaks, and supervision. If a dog is crate trained or needs to be crated for safety or routine purposes, I’m completely comfortable handling that as well.

A typical day
I go jogging several times a week and take walks almost every day. I love a good hike and am familiar with many of the local parks and trails. I also enjoy playing interactive games with dogs, such as frisbee, soccer, or tennis if they enjoy chasing balls. I also don't mind slowing down and simply exploring together. Letting dogs follow their curiosity and take in all the new sights and smells can be just as rewarding as a long walk.

I’ve been caring for dogs most of my life, including my own dog, Pete, who I lovingly cared for until he passed away at 12 years old. Taking care of him gave me years of hands on experience with daily walks, feeding schedules, exercise, playtime, affection, and maintaining a consistent routine. I joined Rover because I just genuinely enjoy being around dogs and connecting with them. I’m a very active person, so long walks, outdoor time, and keeping dogs engaged is something I truly enjoy. I’m also very organized and reliable when it comes to feeding schedules, routines, and making sure pets feel comfortable and cared for. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I aim to make every dog feel safe, happy, loved, and well cared for while you’re away!
