About: I have devoted my life to learning about animal behavior and enrichment, and I am always eager to use this knowledge to give any pet I care for the best time possible. I have cared for several species over the course of my life, including dogs, cats, fish, rodents, birds, reptiles and more. I am also someone who is very passionate about dog training using fun, reward-focused techniques to build a strong relationship and help work through any challenges a pup may have. I have volunteered at multiple animal shelters, where I cared for both dogs and cats through cleaning their enclosures, walking them, playing with them and ensuring their needs were met. Overall, I have a very well-rounded knowledge of what it takes to go above and beyond for any pet I’m working with. I am currently in college and I plan for pet sitting to be my major professional focus during this time, so rest assured that your pet will be my top priority when it comes to my work schedule! Because of my intense love for animals, I am always happy and willing to fit any pet into my daily routine and I try to keep an open schedule to accommodate your care needs. Your pet’s safety and happiness is my top priority in all situations. Whether I am in your home, going for a walk, or just checking in, all of my energy will go to making sure that your pet is having the best time possible in a kind, supportive environment. Every pet I look after is treated with the same amount of love and care that I give my own on a daily basis.

“Angela is such a wonderful and trustworthy person. It’s so comforting to know that our elder doggie Ginger is being so well taken care of. We had last minute plans and Angela was able to take Ginger for a walk to her favorite park and provided great pictures! We highly recommend Angela - my go to Ginger sitter!”

“Craig is great!! Always here on time and Higgins, my terrier, gets new route each time. This evening walk relieves a lot of stress for me and my husband- knowing that we can rely on Craig.”

“Chen has been a blessing! I was looking for a reliable dog walker for a while. Chen is great with my two large labradoodles who have a tendency to pull from time to time. She is always punctual and communicative when the schedule needs to change. I appreciate that she always sends pictures and updates of how the pups are doing and keeps me posted of their shenanigans like when they got into their wet food the other day. She even cleaned it up and put the food away for me. If you are looking for someone to take care of your pups I highly recommend Chen! She is great!”

“Carol is wonderful with my puppy , Winter. Each time she goes to walk her she sends pics and a detailed paragraph as to what Winter did . I truly appreciate all the care and love she gives her !”

“Margo is incredibly compassionate and caring. She is so helpful, reliable, a great communicator and has gone above and beyond. She is caring for my elderly mom's dog - walking him 3 times a day, handling his food, water and medicine. My mom's dog absolutely loves her and whines at the door when he realizes that she's arrived. Margo is also great with my elderly mom. Hire her! You won't regret it.”

About: I’ve taken care of and trained dogs since I was 10. Friends and Family come to me with dog sitting needs I’m reliable and am comfortable with large and small dogs. I am currently working from home at a hybrid job and occasionally have to leave the house for a monthly meeting. Dogs make life better. I take the dogs out to play outside and throw a ball for them, they usually rest after all that, and I give them a little training and alot of love during the day. I walk them in a few different parks so they’re always entertained. The dogs hang out with me all day and are fed as per their owners request.

About: Hello! I love dogs and currently have two large breed dogs at my parent’s home that have moderate and energetic play levels. I have tons of dog experience by always having a dog in my household growing up. I volunteered at Providence Animal Center for over a year in my teenage years and most recently worked at a dog daycare for over 2 years. I love to go on hikes and explore, so any energy level for your dog is great. I also own my own car and have a license so transportation will not be a problem. I am willing to travel to walk dogs if that helps. Hope to be able to walk dogs as a part-time second job (I am registered nurse as my full-time job) and am willing to work for whatever rate you choose. Please consider me for your dog walking needs. Thank you!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Worrell
Sara was an absolute godsend, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Our animals adored her from the very beginning. She is patient, kind, easygoing, calming, and exactly the kind of person you hope to find when trusting someone with your beloved pets. One of our dogs, Lori, came from an extreme hoarding situation where she lived surrounded by floor-to-ceiling boxes with only a small path to move around. As a result, she struggles with anxiety and can become very vocal, howling, barking, and practically screaming when she’s excited or overwhelmed. I was honestly mortified and worried it would be too much for someone to handle. Sara never once made me feel judged or embarrassed. She continually reassured me that it was no problem and handled Lori with incredible patience, compassion, and understanding. Sara helped me more than she knows this week. Knowing our pets were in such capable and caring hands gave me tremendous peace of mind. By the end of her stay, it was clear how much the dogs loved her. On their final walk together, our Golden Retriever, Tully, was absolutely thrilled to see her, and that told me everything I needed to know. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, gentle, reliable, and genuinely gifted with animals, Sara is the person you want. We will absolutely be booking with her again.

Megan was absolutely fantastic with our dog! We made a last-minute booking with her and she was extremely professional and understanding, and really went above and beyond in helping walk our dog who is definitely looking forward to seeing her again. We're very grateful and would highly recommend!

I recently moved here from the west coast for work and quickly realized i needed help looking after my pup while i was away during the daytime. Nicole quickly arranged a meet and got my dog, spits, on her schedule. She has excellent animal skills and has been my saving grace. I highly recommend her for your pets needs.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
