About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and am also comfortable caring for cats. I’ve provided pet care for neighbors and have experience managing different personalities and energy levels. What sets me apart is my hands-on experience working at a veterinary hospital and a zoo, where I learned safe handling, how to recognize signs of stress or illness, and how to maintain proper care routines. I’m patient, attentive, and adaptable, and I’m especially comfortable with active dogs as well as providing gentle care for younger or more sensitive pets. I am also quite the green-thumb if you need your plants watered!🌸🪴🌼🌱🌻 My schedule is very open and flexible, which allows me to easily accommodate pet care throughout the day and week. I’m available for morning, midday, evening, and weekend visits, and I can adjust my routine to meet each pet’s specific needs, including walks, feeding times, and check-ins. I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment in my client’s home. I am very attentive and detail-oriented, and I carefully follow each pet’s routine, including feeding, walks, and any special instructions. I ensure doors, gates, and leashes are always secure and supervise pets closely during play. I pay close attention to behavior and can recognize signs of stress or illness. In a client’s home, I respect their space and keep routines consistent to help pets feel comfortable and safe.
“Marisa has walked my dog Penny twice now and has been great! She cleaned up after Penny’s accident and fed her in the morning. My key was lost on the most recent walk, and Marisa was kind enough to bring my dog back to her home until I was able to come back. Appreciate the help!!”

“Amberleigh was wonderful! She took great care of our Rottie and cat while we were away. She posted multiple pictures of each pet with every visit. Would absolutely go with her again in the future!”

“Alex is wonderful! Responsive, on time and really a joy to interact with and our pup Ellie just loves her too! Thank you Alex for making this transition for Ellie so much smoother. She can’t wait for her next walk with you!”

“I’m not someone who reviews services often, so when I say 5 stars I really mean it! My dog was healing from a leg injury and Morgan not only was there to give her meds when I wasn’t home but also was willing to sling walk her on days she needed extra help. She clearly cares and her updates gave me peace of mind. Highly recommend!”

“Wonderful to have Daphne come by and walk my little dogs. We're rarely away and they can be skittish with strangers but they obviously made friends. She sent happy pictures and I felt completely confident that they were well taken care of. My first choice if I need a dog walker/sitter in the future. Thank you Daphne.”

About: I grew up with dogs. When I was 18 I co-adopted two pitbulls who lived out their lives with me. After college, I volunteered for Monster Milers taking shelter dogs from Street Tails Animal Rescue out for runs to help them burn energy and become more adoptable. My wife and I have adopted three times. A fawn pug who lived until 9 years old, a black pug who lived until 17 years old, and a Alaskan Malamute/Husky/Amstaff mix (107lbs) that lived until he was 13 and we recently lost. I'm good with all furry friends big and small and adjust my approach based on the dogs energy. I currently have a ton of flexibility outside of my kids to help with your pups, but generally, I'm home a lot and very active so lots of room to get your pup out for long walks and exercise/stimulation. I do not have a fenced in yard, and always keep my dogs on leashes until they were absolutely ready to listen solely to my commands. I use a gentle leader that helps minimize impact on their throat and also is very effective with pulling, but can be flexible to your sitch.
“Craig is great!! Always here on time and Higgins, my terrier, gets new route each time. This evening walk relieves a lot of stress for me and my husband- knowing that we can rely on Craig.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Devon
We had a great experience with our dog walker, Morgan. She was consistently on time, which we really appreciated, and always communicated clearly and promptly, keeping us updated and giving us peace of mind. Most importantly, Morgan took excellent care of our dog and treated them with genuine attention and kindness. She truly went above and beyond our expectations. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable and caring pet care.

Ashley walks our puppy a few times a week and is consistent, reliable and communicative. We welcomed a rescue puppy into our home unexpectedly and were fortunate Ashley was able to help us right away. On a personal level, Ashley is a sweet and caring person and gained our immediate trust.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
