“Michelle was great!! She was flexible with our schedule, sent lots of pics and really took great care of our dog. Would definitely recommend Michelle to others, especially if your dog enjoys hanging with friends.”

“I’ve booked with her multiple times now, and I can confidently say she is absolutely amazing. She is very responsive, professional, and always keeps me updated, which gives me so much peace of mind when I’m away. Most importantly, Mazi loves her, and that tells me everything I need to know. It’s clear she truly cares about the dogs she watches and treats them like her own. Every time I book with her, I know Mazi is in great hands, and that kind of trust is priceless. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable, trustworthy, and genuinely great with dogs.”

“Rachel is very caring and it showed in my dog’s behavior. She usually does not eat when she is away from home but she ate all of her food and loved playing with her puppy. She seemed very happy and relaxed when I picked her up”

“Garrett and his wife did a wonderful job taking care of our girls this weekend! He sent plenty of updates. We didn’t pack quite enough food for their last morning, so he offered to give them a little bit of his dogs food and waited for our response before giving it to them, which we really appreciated! They both definitely had a ton of fun playing! They’ve both been sleeping since we got home. Highly recommend!!!”

“Margery was amazing! She was so attentive to our Pug Prince, we received lots of updates and photos while he was with her. Margery was very inviting and welcomed Prince into her home as if he was her own dog. Would absolutely reach out to her again if we need a dog sitter, I highly recommend Margery.”
“Fred was really nervous when we got there, but Brandi made him feel right at home. She took excellent care of him, maybe even spoiled him a little 🩷 and she sent us lots of pictures and videos. He definitely had a good time away from home. Thank you so much for watching him!! I highly recommend Brandi to watch your pup!”

“Catface enjoyed her stay at Brittany's house! She had a large room to herself, away from other animals and a nice window to look out. Brittany was great and responded to texts quickly. I would definitely book again!”

About: I’ve been around dogs since I was a child and have experience caring for family pets. As a dog owner, I’ve trained and cared for my own dog, Legend, and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and providing a safe, loving environment for every pet. I’m home most days and offer a flexible schedule with frequent potty breaks, playtime, meals, fresh water, and plenty of attention throughout the day for every dog. I keep a clean, calm home and follow each pet’s routine, feeding schedule, and care instructions to help them feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
“Becca was very quick to respond and communicate, she sent us pictures and updates each day. She took very good care of our puppy, he had the best time! I would highly recommend her!!”

“Lucia and Michel took such great care of my little Tater while I was traveling out of the country! Their updates were informative and reassuring that Tater, as an elderly lil man was acclimating to their lovely home. When he was having a potential allergic reaction to a bee sting, they sprung into action as if he was their own caring for him. I was so grateful for their caring attention to my baby! I hope to use them again in the future and would highly recommend!🐶❤️”

About: I’ve had a dog for as long as I can remember. Currently have a golden retriever who is five years old. I have a fenced in backyard so they can play. I am home most of the day, every day. I do have two small children. I currently work from home and stay home with two small children! So I am home most of the day so your animal doesn’t have to be boarded in a crate during the day! I have a fenced in backyard and a five-year-old golden retriever who is very friendly and active so they would have someone to play with!

“We had a great experience with Sarah! I was a little nervous about leaving my dog with someone new, but Sarah was very reassuring and sent me updates and pictures. When I came to pick Milo up, he was excited to see me, but it was obvious he had enjoyed his stay, being able to run around in the fenced in yard and play together with Sarah’s dog. I would absolutely recommend Sarah to any other pet owner and I’m sure Milo will be paying her another visit soon!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was little whether it be pets of friends, family or neighbors. I am a very trustworthy pet sitter who will always put your pet first and tend to their every need. I do have one dog of my own about a year old now, Boba. He is great with anybody and any dog, not sure about cats. So he would come with me for house sitting or he’d be at my home for doggy daycare. He loves going to places and meeting new friends! He is very well behaved and pretty well trained. For me, it’s their stay, their way! I try to individually cater to each pet, I try to get a feel of what they like or want and adjust to that.

“We left Emma with Judy for 8 days and she took great care of her and administered ear medicine, as well. Although we missed Emma very much, we knew she was in good hands and we could relax and enjoy our vacation. We also appreciated all the updates and photos Judy sent!”

Another awesome stay with Preston! Olive looks great! She gets along so well with Preston's dog Cash. Preston sends regular updates to let me know Olive is doing well, and I especially love receiving pictures of Olive and Cash cuddling. Many thanks, and we'll be back the next time we travel.

Leslie has been an amazing sitter for my 5 months puppy. She established a great relationship with Lucy Lou and they certainly bonded in a way that I will certainly think about Leslie next time I am in need. She sent update and pictures every day and followed all instructions I had given scrupulously. Her love for all pets and the respect she has for them and the years spent as vet tech makes her a truly amazing pet sitter. I cannot recommend her highly enough!
Kolby is the most awesome pet sitter ever! He treated Kingsley like family and provided loving care that was truly outstanding. I was so grateful for the extra effort he put in, i felt completely confident and was not worried for a moment leaving Kingsley in Kolby’s care, He is excellent at communicating and responds instantaneously. and would recommend him to anyone

Puppies require a lot of time and attention, and knowing the handful our baby can be, we were nervous about trusting someone to care for her in our absence. But Brittany gave her all the love, snuggles, attention and care needed for us to vacation worry free! We appreciate her tremendously and will be using her again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
