“Kimberly was wonderful with our dogs and cat. She Definitely put my mind at ease while attending a family wedding out of town. I will definitely book her again for our next trip.”
“So I picked Sally by reviews and profile. Let me just say that Sally was absolutely amazing!! I was stress free during my trip. She went above and beyond for my two dogs!! She visited my house twice to meet my dogs ( they are very nervous meeting new people) before initially staying over my house. She sent me updates and pics daily. It was such a stress free trip knowing she was there. I can't wait to book with her again for our next trip!!!! - she even took our mail/trash in and fed my fish!!! Thank you sally for everything!!!”

“Katherine was responsive and attentive to our animals and house needs. She was great at communicating updates and handling unexpected circumstances. I will gladly request her services again.”

“My dogs loved Elise, even Jax who is more restrained with people. She sent pictures and asked questions which let us know she was taking everything very seriously. We would love to have her come again.”

“Carissa did a great job house and pet sitting. My dog and cat are very well behaved but also very attached to me and can struggle with anxiety when I’m away. Carissa obviously took great care of them, evidenced with a daily photo/video update while I was away, and they were calm and happy when I arrived home. Would definitely book with Carissa again!”

“Chloe did such a great job with our pup! Our previous sitter cancelled last minute, and she was so accommodating on such short notice! She sent lots of pictures and updates, it was clear he was loved and in good hands. I would highly recommend and will be using her in the future!”

“Daniela is amazing: reliable, kind, gives attention to detail, excellent pet care for my dog and cats, and great communication. Administers meds as needed. When I come home my place is clean and orderly and my pets are content- the way they act when they really like and feel safe with a sitter.”

“Sandy took excellent care of our two dogs. Our 16 year old lab has a lot of trouble getting around due to arthritis, and Sandy was so patient and caring and helpful with her. It was nice to go away on vacation knowing that someone so trustworthy and responsible is with our fur babies. Sandy communicated with us throughout the stay, with regular updates and pictures. She also cleaned up the house and it looks better than before we left. I could not be happier with her service and highly recommend!”
“I cannot recommend Chris highly enough. He was professional and kind. When we did our meet and greet my dogs were in love with him from the get go. He went above and beyond while looking after them. He sent me numerous pictures, took them on long walks (even though he didn’t have to) and let me know when one of my dogs meds was starting to run low. Chris is a rockstar and I am looking forward to working with him in the future”
“We were so thankful to be able to book Renee again, this time for 5 nights, to come stay in our home with our dog, Tucker. She is trustworthy and responsive, and Tucker seems to love having her to care for him when we are away. Thank you, Renee!”

“Arianna took great care of our senior aged beagle while we were gone for 4 days. From daily walks, feeding her, giving her her meds, keeping her company, and cleaning the rug after she had an accident the first night, Arianna was attentive to our dog’s special needs. She also sent us photos of our dog a few times, which we appreciated. She came over to our house for a meet and greet a week before we left for our trip.”

“Kati is truly an exceptional person! She sent pictures every day along with updates. I didn’t worry the entire week I was gone which allowed me to enjoy my son’s wedding. She left our home cleaner than we had!”

“The meet between Michelle &jade was great from the start! I felt safe &comfortable leaving her in my home for 5 days. I received photos and updates everyday. About: I've taken care of my own dog as well as many family and friends dogs over the past seven or so years and get along with many dogs very well. I primarily focus on caring for dogs shedding little to no fur or hair but can work with any dog. I currently work part-time but have plenty of time to take care of dogs between the times I'm working just reach out and ask to see if I'm available! I have a very large fenced yard with property surrounding it and a double fence facing the road to help keep dogs in and another animals out. If you dog has high energy your own yard is of course ideal for use but if not we can work to find a safe space for your dog to run without disturbing others.
“Gregory and Grayson were amazing with our two shepherds. Grayson stayed with them for overnights and cared for them as if they were his own. We knew our pups were in great hands for the while we were away for a week. Thank you both so much!”

Mehlayne is a delight. She stayed with my pup for the first time while I was away for a week. She and Clancy warmed to each other immediately. She is a great communicator and has a kind and gentle spirit. I would definitely recommend her and will use her again, I’m sure.

Chloe was an incredible sitter!!! She was super communicative, flexible, and easy to work with. It was our first time with the overnight house sitting and Chloe exceeded all expectations! Oscar and Ramona loved spending time with her and we will definitely be using her services in the future.

Chloe did such a great job with our pup! Our previous sitter cancelled last minute, and she was so accommodating on such short notice! She sent lots of pictures and updates, it was clear he was loved and in good hands. I would highly recommend and will be using her in the future!

Michelle was an amazing house sitter for our two cats. She sent us constant updates, and really got to know them and their personalities. We could tell how much she enjoyed them, and how comfortable they were in her care. The house was in perfect shape when we came back, and she even generously agreed to help keep our outdoor plants alive through a heat wave. She was very communicative about her schedule, and made sure the girls and their routines were a priority. It was a huge relief to have her at the house with them while we were gone. Highly recommend!

There are not enough words to brag about Esther. She took the most incredible care of our Lola and condo while we were on vacation. She sent plenty of pictures and updates to help us miss our baby a little less. It was obvious the minute we walked inside how much love and care Lola received while we were gone. She left our condo impeccable with a sweet little note welcoming us home and chocolates to go with. I cannot recommend Esther enough!! Lola misses her already 🐶🤍

Grace was such a great choice for my dogs. I was concerned because I have dogs who have only been watched by others on a few occasions. One in particular is VERY protective, and she will bark at people in our home (if we are there) for a LONG drawn out time before she somewhat settles. If I was a "sitter", I would probably move on. Grace was here for over 45 minutes on the consultation to make sure "Lily" would adjust to her, and we were all comfortable when she left. She went above and beyond during the stay. I gave her freedom to step away for periods in the morning and afternoon, but she stayed glued in our home. Grace is highly recommended!
Grace is amazing! We have had issues with dog sitters in the past & have avoided using anyone except family for a few years now but she has completely turned that around for us. We were hoping to find our new favorite sitter since relocating to SC & I think we most definitely have!! You will be super happy you chose her to watch your babies, trust me!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Taylors walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Taylors maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Taylors choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Taylors. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
