âAlexis was amazing! She kept me updated on my pup, she was respectful of our home and she even left us flowers and did the laundry!!! I would recommend her to everyone!!!! Thank you Alexis, we appreciate you so much!â

âKatherine is such a delight. We appreciate her so much for her love & care of our dogs & our home while weâre gone. She communicates promptly & regularly. This time, our niece (around the same age) needed to stay at our house for one night while Katherine was there. (I double & triple-checked all comfort levels in advance.) Our niece even texted to say how sweet Katherine is. We are so grateful for you, Katherine!â

âKimberly was absolutely incredible. She was so communicative and my dogs seemed so happy with her! She even left my house in better shape than I did! My big dog had an upset stomach and she reached out immediately to make sure she did the right thing for him. I will 100% use Kimberly for all my dog sitting needs!â

âTracie is an angel, truly! My husband and I have never left our fur baby Kona with anyone other than immediate family and were really nervous. From our first communication Tracie went to work setting our minds at ease. She came to the house for a meet and greet on her own time before booking to ensure it would be a good fit all the way around and immediately I could tell it would be. She stayed with Kona for 3 nights - she sent us regular updates on how Kona was doing, she took her for tons of walks and gave Kona plenty of snuggles. Not only that but she couldnât have been a more respectful house sitter- she brought her own food, cleaned up after herself and even washed the sheets and towels to ensure we wouldnât have to do anything when we got home. As an anxious dog mom whose pup is her whole world, Tracie was an answer to my prayers!â

âEsther was great with our dogs and house sitting. Left house just like we left it and was very communicative! Thankful to be able to have a reliable dog sitter! Excited to have her watch them again next month!â

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my hands on experience with a wide variety of animals and pet care situations. I have over 5 years of pet sitting experience and spent 3 years working at a pet store, where I learned about animal behavior, nutrition, and general care. I also worked at a kennel, gaining experience with dogs of different breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I have owned and cared for many types of animals throughout my life and have experience pet sitting a variety of pets, not just dogs and cats. In addition, I have personally trained my own animals, which helps me reinforce good behaviors and work patiently with young pets. I am comfortable caring for senior pets, administering routine care, following special instructions, and adapting to each pet's unique needs. My goal is to provide safe, reliable, and loving care so pet owners can feel confident that their pets are in good hands while they're away. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because I currently have a very flexible schedule and am not working another job. This allows me to be available for pet sitting any day of the week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and even last-minute bookings. I have plenty of free time to give pets the attention, exercise, and care they deserve! When I care for any and all types of pets in a client's home, I treat both the pets and the home with the same respect and care I would my own. I have over five years of pet sitting experience so I know how important it is to keep pets on their normal routine. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, medications, walks, playtime, and any special needs. I'm clean, responsible, and well-mannered, and I always make sure your home is left just as I found it while giving your pets plenty of attention, love, and quality care.
âSandy was awesome! She was very thorough during the Meet & Greet with our pup so I knew he was going to be in good hands while away for a night. In addition to our pup loving her, she was very communicative with updates, pics, etc., which was anxiety-reducing. She took excellent care of the house and the dog! 10/10 would recommend to anyone!â

âGrace was awesome with my 3 animals and did an amazing job house sitting while I was away for a long weekend. She was extremely communicative and sent me pictures of them multiple times a day everyday that I was gone. They all loved her! I highly recommend her and will definitely book with her again.â

About: As a proud cat mom to three spoiled kitties, I know firsthand how stressful it can be to leave your pets behind. Thatâs why my goal is simple: to give you peace of mind while you travel, knowing your pets are loved, happy, and well cared for. Iâve been providing pet and house sitting services since high school. One of my favorite experiences even took me all the way to Alaska, where I spent two weeks caring for three wonderful pets while their family was away. Building trust with both pets and their owners is something I genuinely value. I believe every animal has a unique personality, and getting to know each one is one of the best parts of the job. I also know that the little details matter, so I take the time to learn your petâs routine, preferences, and any special instructions to help them feel safe, comfortable, and at home. Whether youâre looking for overnight house sitting or just drop-in visits, Iâm committed to treating your pets and your home with the same care and respect I would give my own. While youâre away, you can count on regular updates, plenty of love for your furry family members, and the confidence that theyâre in caring, capable hands. Right now Iâm available Sunday through Saturday, as needed. I can do multiple check-ins throughout the day or I can spend the night. Whatever makes you and your fur babies the most comfortable. I will treat your pets and home with the same respect I treat mine. I also love to send photos of your pets for check-ins and I make sure all is well and good with your home.
âJerry is an excellent dog sitter and in my own house. I couldn't have picked a better person for Roux. I received pictures of Roux everyday and she looked so happy. I would like to send Jerry a hardy Thank youâ

âKati was more than amazing, and was so sweet to send updates, pics of the potty trips, and youâd never know that she was even here for three days! Beyond thankful and grateful for her! Cannot wait to book her next time!â

âDaniela took extra steps to ensure my pets were comfortable and cared for. I frequently feel nervous leaving my pets with someone new, but she was amazing with communication and it eased my mind knowing she was there to care for them. I would use Daniela in the future!!â

âJustin was great! He watched our two boys on back to back weekends. He was a great communicator and kept us updated and threw in some cute pictures too! Seemed liked our boys were comfortable with him and as a pet parent that is all we could ask for!â

âAshley did an amazing job with our two sweet dogs. We have a doberman and a pit bull and they are both super friendly she and they got along right away. She also helped us out last minute. We can't thank her enough for the great job.â

âKim is absolutely wonderful Sitter. She is on time, replies to your messages quickly and sends pictures and updates of My Molly while I was away. Highly recommend her for dog walking and sitting. đđđâ

âMehlayne did a wonderful job of caring for our sweet old Roxy. Our pup is 16 years old, has medical needs such as breathing treatments and medication administration and she even took Roxy to the Vet 4 times for routine fluid administration. While we are away for our 13 day vacation to Alaska, she sent daily pictures of our sweet little girl and messages regarding her day. Considering that Roxy had never been apart from us for more than 3 days, we were very pleased when we returned and she was in excellent health and eating very well, which could be a challenge at times. I could tell from the beginning that they were a good fit, especially since Melanie has a very elderly dog herself. We will be happy to book her again if needed and recommend her to anyone that is looking for someone to care for their pup.â

âLauren was great with my 2 dogs. They can be a handful at times and she handled them great. She kept me informed and made sure to send me lots of pictures through out her stay. It was reliving to know they were in great hands while we were away. We will definitely be returning customers of hers.â

âKerstin had a nice overnight stay with Sadie. The house was immaculate when I returned home, and Sadie was a happy girl. I know she had lots of attention and snuggles! I would definitely use Kerstin again.â

The median cost per night for house sitting in Taylors is $50
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Taylors
There are not enough words to brag about Esther. She took the most incredible care of our Lola and condo while we were on vacation. She sent plenty of pictures and updates to help us miss our baby a little less. It was obvious the minute we walked inside how much love and care Lola received while we were gone. She left our condo impeccable with a sweet little note welcoming us home and chocolates to go with. I cannot recommend Esther enough!! Lola misses her already đśđ¤

Grace was such a great choice for my dogs. I was concerned because I have dogs who have only been watched by others on a few occasions. One in particular is VERY protective, and she will bark at people in our home (if we are there) for a LONG drawn out time before she somewhat settles. If I was a "sitter", I would probably move on. Grace was here for over 45 minutes on the consultation to make sure "Lily" would adjust to her, and we were all comfortable when she left. She went above and beyond during the stay. I gave her freedom to step away for periods in the morning and afternoon, but she stayed glued in our home. Grace is highly recommended!
Grace is amazing! We have had issues with dog sitters in the past & have avoided using anyone except family for a few years now but she has completely turned that around for us. We were hoping to find our new favorite sitter since relocating to SC & I think we most definitely have!! You will be super happy you chose her to watch your babies, trust me!

Arianna was a great fit for our pups! She offered to come meet them and walk through their routines before we left for our trip. Her schedule was flexible which was exactly what we needed. She sent us many pictures, was punctual, and our home looks like we never left. We would absolutely recommend her and will be booking with her again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Taylors on Rover is $48.84 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 944 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Taylors. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitterâs presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Taylors walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your homeâs security or appliances.
Itâs helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Taylors maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate theyâll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your petâs profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Taylors choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Taylors. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
