About: Me and my husband David have both grown up with dogs our whole lives. I always had labradors in my family while he had golden retrievers. David’s dog Maggie lived to be 15 so he has great experience with senior care. I volunteered at a shelter and dog sat for our neighbors throughout high school. I also helped trained our two dogs as puppies, and we have cared for dogs as big as 110lbs to as little as 5lb. I am working part time with a baby due this August so my hours are decreasing as well. My husband is working a flexible remote job, so there is lots of time to play with and care for your pup. We are both early risers and am at home most weekends but occasionally away with travel. I am in a very pet friendly neighborhood with a large fenced in backyard. I am a mile away from a large park with two big, open fields, so your pup has plenty of places to run around.
“Our dog had surgery yesterday and Katherine took care of him today while we were at work. He was in the best hands. She took the best care of him and made sure everything went smoothly for him. She kept me updated throughout the day and Hank was so happy and comfortable with her. I trust her completely and highly recommend her. She deserves 10 stars.”

About: I’ve been around dogs since I was a child and have experience caring for family pets. As a dog owner, I’ve trained and cared for my own dog, Legend, and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and providing a safe, loving environment for every pet. I’m home most days and offer a flexible schedule with frequent potty breaks, playtime, meals, fresh water, and plenty of attention throughout the day for every dog. I keep a clean, calm home and follow each pet’s routine, feeding schedule, and care instructions to help them feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
About: I’m Lydia, a lifelong dog mom who turned my passion for dogs into a full-time dog nannying & training lifestyle. My passion and professionalism are rare, but my ability to read dogs is what sets me apart. I have a deeply intuitive, relational approach to working with dogs that immediately puts their owners at ease. I'll meet you and your dog wherever you're at with hands-on help, free education, and ongoing communication about how they're doing. I believe every dog deserves exercise, enrichment, and engagement that works for how they're wired. I’m especially passionate about helping busy people with working-breeds. I have raised dogs from puppyhood, rehabilitated anxious rescues, and cared for senior dogs with special needs. I provide custom care to every family, so if you have a special request don’t hesitate to ask. *Meet & greet with my 2 dogs is required before first-time daycare or overnight requests. *All dogs must be up-to-date on pest prevention & vaccines. No exceptions. Pet care is my full time "job" (passion). My own two dogs set the rhythm of the day with regular walks, snuggles, naps, and play sessions, and my regulars help reinforce the routine when new friends join us for a day or two. My 2 dogs are trained, neutered males with medium-high energy levels and high social skills. I am present throughout the day to supervise, play with the dogs, and help make sure everyone feels at home. Weekends are just as consistent—dogs get the same structure and care, but multiplied x2 since my dog-loving husband is home. (We can accommodate dogs who fear men.) I keep a clean, dog-friendly home with safety gates, dozens of toys, and 100% dog-friendly furniture. Dogs are never left alone for long stretches, and I tailor their play groups depending on the dogs' personalities, energy levels, and varying social skills + moods. While I don’t have an attached yard, we make up for it with frequent strolls over to the nearby dog park. In clients’ homes, I follow your established routines closely so your babies feel secure and cared for in their own space.
About: I grew up around animals my whole life, both dogs and cats. I currently have a dog and a cat in my household. Let me love and care for your pets like I do my own. I can bathe, feed, and walk your pets. I live in a nice, quiet neighborhood that I walk my personal dog in all the time. I am available currently on Sundays and Mondays. All day. I make my dog food from scratch because he has sensitive skin. We walk our dog daily and both pets get bathed regularly when needed, even the cat. 😉 I have a clean home with both of my pets that are inside pets. My services would provide cleaning up after and caring for your pets in your home. I also have a lock in place leash I use to walk my dog that is built for strong, large dogs.
“Copper had an amazing time with Hannah and Percy. Would highly recommend her to anyone , she was available for updates with quick response time. She kept me updated with videos and pictures throughout his stay. She taught him a few new skills while he was with her. Overall I would highly recommend choosing Hannah for your dogs future stays/day camp.”

About: I have a lot of experience fostering and rehabilitating dogs who have had trauma, helping them come out of their shell and trusting humans again is my strength. I am available for walks in the mornings, afternoons and evenings. I am also flexible, able to stay in your home, and open to some overnight stays. I have a cozy, air conditioned home with my senior beagle to keep your pup company. Will always have fresh water and treats available. I also have a crate if needed. This is my full time job so I have plenty of time to play with your pup. We have a fun dog park nearby also lots of toys and cozy beds. We love going for drives, long walks and playing outside and doing zoomies. My senior beagle is a great helper and I have a crate if needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
