“Michelle was great!! She was flexible with our schedule, sent lots of pics and really took great care of our dog. Would definitely recommend Michelle to others, especially if your dog enjoys hanging with friends.”

“We were so happy to have Jessica take care of our little dog. She is so sweet and gentle with her. Winnie took to her immediately. It was a long stay of eight nights and Jessica made us feel confident that Winnie was being well taken care of. We appreciated everything she did for Winnie and wouldn't hesitate to rebook with her again in the future.”

“Margery was amazing! She was so attentive to our Pug Prince, we received lots of updates and photos while he was with her. Margery was very inviting and welcomed Prince into her home as if he was her own dog. Would absolutely reach out to her again if we need a dog sitter, I highly recommend Margery.”

“Mary and her husband Larry were incredible. She took amazing care of our puppy and kept us updated the entire time we were gone. We would not hesitate twice to leave Cooper in her care again. Thank you!”

About: I have grooming, training, & boarding experience. I’m experienced in administering medications; pills, eye drops, shots, etc. Animals are my peace so I’d love to give a peace of mind to others😊 I’m available full time, there are currently 6 dogs & 2 cats in my house & the pups get outside about 3-5 times a day depending on the weather. I also have a 3 year old whos with me 3 days out of the week. I have a fenced in yard, all of my pups & my sisters are crated when not supervised. I would prefer crates brought when staying with me just for safety reasons! & if I were to watch your pup in your hone they’d get the same love & care they receive from you😊
“Lisa and her family took care of my dog with so much love and affection! I received consistent updates and pictures, and felt very comfortable leaving my dog in their home. I recommend Lisa to anyone needing an amazing sitter!”

“Catface enjoyed her stay at Brittany's house! She had a large room to herself, away from other animals and a nice window to look out. Brittany was great and responded to texts quickly. I would definitely book again!”

“Great time with Cristina and her family as always! Lots and lots of pictures and videos. My doggie stays busy all day playing and getting belly rubs. Highly recommend Cristina to other dog moms and dads.”

“Amber was amazing! Definitely a dog lover. ¡¡¡¡ 5️⃣⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!!! She keeps you constantly updated on your doggy and takes care of them as if they were her own. She has a beautiful personality and she’s easy to work with….. She walks your dog and the Big backyard area is a plus!! Perfect for the dog to burn energy!”

About: I have had a dog as long as I can remember. I have had many dogs and a few cats over the years and spent 7 years fostering dogs while living in DC. During my fostering, I had the opportunity to train puppies, learn how to introduce dogs into homes with other dogs, and care for senior pups, keeping one of my fosters until she passed. I love all kinds of animals and will take care of your pets like I do my own - with lots of love, a few treats, and tons of attention! I work part-time and am available mornings and evenings with possible option for mid-day visits. I am available for dog walking, spending time playing with your fur baby and for pet sitting overnight in your home. My ultimate goal is to ensure your pet receives proper care and attention, the same as I would my own pets. In my past experience as a working professional, I understand the difficutly of going away and worrying about your pets while you are gone, which is why I offer overnight pet sitting in your home so you can enjoy vacations and know your pets are comfortable in their home environment. I can also assist with plant watering and keeping an eye on your home as well while you are away.
“Lucia and Michel took such great care of my little Tater while I was traveling out of the country! Their updates were informative and reassuring that Tater, as an elderly lil man was acclimating to their lovely home. When he was having a potential allergic reaction to a bee sting, they sprung into action as if he was their own caring for him. I was so grateful for their caring attention to my baby! I hope to use them again in the future and would highly recommend!🐶❤️”

“We had a great experience with Sarah! I was a little nervous about leaving my dog with someone new, but Sarah was very reassuring and sent me updates and pictures. When I came to pick Milo up, he was excited to see me, but it was obvious he had enjoyed his stay, being able to run around in the fenced in yard and play together with Sarah’s dog. I would absolutely recommend Sarah to any other pet owner and I’m sure Milo will be paying her another visit soon!”

“This is my first time using a service like this and I have to say that Tara did an amazing job. She reassured me the whole way that my baby would be safe. When I was gone she sent me at least one picture and an update. I felt very good about leaving Ghost there. We will definitely be a return customer.”

“Dawn's home is set up to care for cats. Jake isn't a fan of leaving home but he was comfortable with Dawn and her family. I would have Jake stay there in the future.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Tigerville
Fantastic care for my lab. From the moment we dropped off our girl, it was clear that Christina genuinely loves dogs and treats them like family. She sent regular updates, followed all instructions, and made my dog feel comfortable and happy. She was flexible with pick up and drop off times, and sent a ton of photos. She has a dog friendly obstacle course and sent videos of my dog crawling thru a tunnel and doing tricks I’ve never seen- my 9 yr old girl! It was truly impressive! I could tell that Christina gave my dog a ton of attention throughout the day because when I picked her up, she was relaxed and happy and I think she didn’t want to leave lol. Highly recommend!!

Christina was wonderful! She was so patient with our Bullmastiff, who has had very little socialization with other dogs. Her home is truly like a doggie day camp, with endless activities, toys, and opportunities to play. Christina is incredibly attentive, professional, and knowledgeable. She’s well-prepared with plenty of supplies, toys, and treats, and she sent regular updates with photos and videos throughout our stay. It was such a comfort knowing our girl was having so much fun, was so well cared for, and was getting lots of love while we were away. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend Christina!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
