About: I have found that dogs prefer to be in their own envirement when their owner's are away, so most of my jobs are from repeat clients and referrals for in home stays. Your pet stays in their own environment which is less stressful. As requested by you, we go on walks, mini hikes, car rides, sleep in bed with them, just lounge and watch TV, administer special diets or medicines, drop off at another relative, etc. I am flexible. Your house stays safe with someone home, mail and newspapers picked up, etc. One client always has contractors over for their large remodel. I first became a dog sitter for my 2 grandpups, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels a boy and a girl. My daughter may be the most demaning, pickiest, list of rules person in the world. Her dogs are her children and I know yours are too. So please if you feel bad about leaving them, if you have a weird request I will understand. Since I am semi-retired I have more flexibility as well. I have had dogs who needed me to sit on the floor with them while they eat, want to sleep in same bed as me, constantly want to sit on my lap or next to me. I understand the power of treats, their special toys and love! It's stressful when the owners are away, but I am here to fill that void. Rest assured, I can send you updates as needed. Whether it's a daily overview from the visits on email, quick text and/or picture from the visit, quick phone call, just let me know. If you need to meet up prior to engagement we can, If you have a longer term request we can work out a discount as well. Let me know how I can help you out and make this less stressful for you and your loved one!

About: As a pet sitter, what sets me apart is my deep passion for animals, personalized approach to care, and commitment to trust and reliability. I treat every pet as if they were my own, taking time to learn their unique routines, personalities, and needs. Whether it's administering medication, caring for senior or special-needs pets, or just providing lots of love and playtime, I go above and beyond to ensure each animal feels safe and happy in their own environment. My clients appreciate the peace of mind they get from my consistent communication, including regular updates and photos, as well as my attention to detail and respect for their home. With years of hands-on experience and a reputation for dependability, I strive to build lasting relationships with both pets and their people. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide consistent, reliable care throughout the week. Iâm available every day for pet sitting, walks, or drop-in visits, with the exception of Tuesday evenings from 6 to 8 PM when I attend a night class. Outside of that time, Iâm fully available and committed to giving pets the attention and care they need, whether itâs early morning, midday, or evening. Whether Iâm caring for pets in my home or a clientâs, I focus on creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment that meets each animalâs unique needs. At home, I share my space with my friendly dog Luna and six lizards, so Iâm well-versed in caring for both furry and exotic pets. In a clientâs home, I stick closely to their routineâfeeding, walking, playing, administering any medications, and offering plenty of love and attention. I also provide regular updates to keep pet parents at ease while they're away. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, happy, and lovedâno matter where they are.

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up caring for our family dog, geese and ducks! Lately, i've committed myself to helping dogs and cats feel loved, safe and secure while their pet parents are away. I worked at a local veterinary clinic in their boarding department caring for overnight and long term clients. I previously worked at a local animal shelter for a year, where I learned the true responsibility of taking care of animals. Senior animals have such a special place in my heart! Animal happiness and safety is a main priority of mine. I am looking to take care of your animals part time and as needed! I have plenty of experience with all kinds of dogs and cats! I have 3 dogs currently, a shepherd mix, husky mix and a mini pin doberman alongside 2 cats! We have a large fenced in yard which allows us to let our dogs get their energy out and enjoy some time alone outside, while we continue to keep a close eye on them. The dogs are never out of my sight, I know how mischievous they tend to be.
âAnna did an amazing job walking my 2 dogs!! She made sure to put on their harnesses for each walk and sometimes even their coats when it got very cold! As we talked about, Anna made sure to adjust the lengthen of the walks based on the puppy dogs energy and cold weather!! I would definitely ask Anna to walk my 2 dogs again!!â

About: I have cared for over 30 some animals since i was a little kid, from dogs and cats to goats, chickens, ducks, fish, and even a pigeon. Iâve been intimately involved with training multiple dogs and have been the sole walker and caretaker to many of them. Currently home for college, I am free basically 24/7 and prepared to make caring for your pets my focus. If need be, I am prepared to help out on short notice. I make sure to be very active with pets and make sure they get all the walking and playing they need. I am receptive and observant of their wants and needs.
About: I have lived with and been around dogs my whole life. I have experience in dog sitting and dog walking, and I am always up for helping people and especially their furry friends! I also have had four cats who were very opposite from being cuddly to being a bit aggressive. However I still love those fuzzballs deeply. Finally I had three parakeets who were very loud but so fun to have around. I am currently in Taylorâs South Carolina. I am 18 years old and currently do not have a job so I am extremely flexible with my schedule. I can really do any day of the week. I like make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owner is away. I follow all routines closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any special instructions. I also give pets lots of attention, playtime, and affection so they feel relaxed and happy. If Iâm caring for pets in a clientâs home, Iâm respectful of their space and always keep things clean and organized. Lastly, of course have fun with the pet and give them lots of love.
About: I started working with animals 8 years ago as a volunteer at a rescue barn. I've volunteered with about 3 other rescues and shelters, from walking dogs to monitoring health conditions. I just want to show all those little furry family members the love they deserve, and make sure they can be well taken care of if you are unable or temporarily absent. I currently only work 7-2 on weekends. Otherwise, I'm wide open and would love to run and play with your pets! We love treats and I'm a quick learner. Your routine, becomes my routine. I prefer to get a play by play of each animal's daily life at home so I can most relate their stay with me in my home to it. From feeding times to walking times and even play times, I love to have a set schedule to make all our lives easier. Of course flexibility is a must, and I'm happy to follow any needs that are seen fit because the animal's well being is top priority.

About: I have over 8 years of experience caring for both dogs and cats. As a pet owner myself, Iâve had multiple dogs and have provided pet sitting services for countless dogs and cats over the years. I have experience with puppies, senior pets, and animals that require medication or extra attention. The most Iâve cared for at one time is two dogs and two cats, so Iâm comfortable managing multiple pets while ensuring each one receives the care and attention they deserve. I genuinely love animals and have the flexibility to provide reliable, attentive, and compassionate care for your pets while youâre away. Over the next few months, Iâll be out of school, which gives me a very flexible schedule. Iâm available throughout the week and on weekends to accommodate your pet care needs, whether itâs drop-in visits, walks, or overnight care! Your petâs safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each petâs routine, preferences, and any special care instructions so they feel as comfortable as possible while youâre away. I treat every home with respect, keep a clean environment, and make sure doors, gates, and other safety measures are always secure. Iâll also send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.

âBreana is a wonderful companion for your fur baby with a resonable price. She is great with last minuet walks and will show up on a dime. Great for those days when the pooch needs a walk and you canât find the time to get out.â
About: I have been boarding and dog walking for the past 5-years, mostly for neighbors back home when I lived in Maryland. We just moved into Gowensville | Landrum | Travelers Rest area -and we are very remote on 6 acres on Glassy mountain. We are joining Rover, hoping to help us make new furry friends. Our clients had deep trust in us, and we never let anyone down. Each client became a consistent client, mainly because their dogs would get so excited to see us or come to our home. We had one client that used to text and ask if Penny could come to the spa! We work hard to understand your pup, their regular schedule and favorite things to do, so we can maintain as much consistency as possible for our new furry friend. My husband is an excellent trainer, he has taught many of our client's pups to walk nicely on a leash, to heal, whoa, lets go, and ready up! My husband used to show train and show our great pyrenees for many many years. We both regularly get down on the ground and have play time with our boarders. I love taking pics of the pups and sending them off to their parents, so they have visual peace of mind seeing how happy their furry family member is doing. We will provide a short report via text each day. When dogs come to stay, we keep them on what is their normal schedule. Each day has 2 play times, a nice 30 min walk, 1-1 attention in their bed room prior to bed filled with lots of love (I love giving head rubs and reading stories). We will feed | Medicines | Relief time as per your instruction. We are at our best with friendly, non aggressive dogs. For dog walking, I will go to your home or office pick-up your dog, then head out. I can walk your pup, and | or have play time with your pet in your yard. If your friend needs lots of exercise I am very happy to take your pup on a hike of the distance of your choice for a longer visit. We are active, but retired. We have lots of flexibility. Boarding can happen any day/night you can drop off and pick-up at a time that works for you. The more notice you provide, the better I can plan around your pup's needs. I generally hike 4-6 miles 4 days a week. So if your friend wants to join me they are welcome to...weather dependent. Our home is pet friendly, with lots of space and the opportunity to keep fury friends separate when needed. Each boarded dog will have their own bedroom, where they will also be fed privately (don't forget to bring your pup's food (provide feeding schedule), feed bowls, medicine (include directions), any toys, and feel free to bring their favorite bed). The dogs are also allowed on the bed in their room. We have a large basement gym area where we create play time when the weather isn't cooperating.

About: I have been housesitting/dog sitting for about 5 years now, and I LOVE it! I love to show the dogs Iâm watching special attention and spoil them ever so slightly. When Iâm housesitting while dog sitting, thatâs a bonus! Not only do I spoil the dog, but also the dog owners. I enjoy making sure the home is nice and tidy before the homeowners come home. Iâve never had any troubles with any dogs before - we were just meant to be! When you need a dog/house sitter, you can rely on me to care for your fur baby as much as you would! I currently am working full-time through Rover, so your pets will be well taken care of and played with. I grew up having a dog, so remembering to let them out and feed them is practically second nature for me! If your dog has a special diet or feeding time, no problem! I take care of the pet as if Iâm their owner, showing special care and love while you are away. If needed, I do have a fenced in back yard at my home to take the dog to play around. Even though the dog is not mine, I always make sure they feel safe and loved while youâre gone.

About: Iâve always had a soft spot for animals and take genuine joy in meeting each one. With years of personal experience caring for multiple pets, I enjoy learning their individual personalities, routines, and quirks so I can provide thoughtful, attentive care. Iâm patient, reliable, and comfortable with pets of different ages and temperaments. I focus on making each animal feel safe, understood, and at ease; I treat every pet as if they were my own. đž I work part time restoring homes, which gives me a flexible, self-directed schedule. Pet sitting fits naturally into my day, and Iâm able to plan my work around each clientâs needs to ensure consistent care, attention, and reliability. Being self-employed allows me to adjust my availability, accommodate routines, and spend quality time with each pet. Iâm looking to fill my spare time with something uplifting and rewarding, and caring for animals is both personally fulfilling and a priority I can fully commit to. I focus on each petâs safety, comfort, and routine while in their home by maintaining a calm, consistent environment and following all care instructions closely. I respect the clientâs space and ensure doors, gates, and potential hazards are secure at all times. I provide attentive supervision during visits and keep pets engaged with appropriate play, feeding, and rest based on their needs. Iâm also happy to provide frequent check-ins with photos and updates on mealtimes, playtime, and naps. - 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
