About: I have been boarding and dog walking for the past 5-years, mostly for neighbors back home when I lived in Maryland. We just moved into Gowensville | Landrum | Travelers Rest area -and we are very remote on 6 acres on Glassy mountain. We are joining Rover, hoping to help us make new furry friends. Our clients had deep trust in us, and we never let anyone down. Each client became a consistent client, mainly because their dogs would get so excited to see us or come to our home. We had one client that used to text and ask if Penny could come to the spa! We work hard to understand your pup, their regular schedule and favorite things to do, so we can maintain as much consistency as possible for our new furry friend. My husband is an excellent trainer, he has taught many of our client's pups to walk nicely on a leash, to heal, whoa, lets go, and ready up! My husband used to show train and show our great pyrenees for many many years. We both regularly get down on the ground and have play time with our boarders. I love taking pics of the pups and sending them off to their parents, so they have visual peace of mind seeing how happy their furry family member is doing. We will provide a short report via text each day. When dogs come to stay, we keep them on what is their normal schedule. Each day has 2 play times, a nice 30 min walk, 1-1 attention in their bed room prior to bed filled with lots of love (I love giving head rubs and reading stories). We will feed | Medicines | Relief time as per your instruction. We are at our best with friendly, non aggressive dogs. For dog walking, I will go to your home or office pick-up your dog, then head out. I can walk your pup, and | or have play time with your pet in your yard. If your friend needs lots of exercise I am very happy to take your pup on a hike of the distance of your choice for a longer visit. We are active, but retired. We have lots of flexibility. Boarding can happen any day/night you can drop off and pick-up at a time that works for you. The more notice you provide, the better I can plan around your pup's needs. I generally hike 4-6 miles 4 days a week. So if your friend wants to join me they are welcome to...weather dependent. Our home is pet friendly, with lots of space and the opportunity to keep fury friends separate when needed. Each boarded dog will have their own bedroom, where they will also be fed privately (don't forget to bring your pup's food (provide feeding schedule), feed bowls, medicine (include directions), any toys, and feel free to bring their favorite bed). The dogs are also allowed on the bed in their room. We have a large basement gym area where we create play time when the weather isn't cooperating.

“Shana was very accomodating, taking a last minute request for dog sitting after our normal sitter cancelled. We are yearly sponsors of the Scottish Games at Furman, which is an all day event from 8:30 to 7:30, the Saturday before Memorial Day. I sent requests to four sitters on Rover that morning that were close to our house in Taylors. Two responded they were booked, even though their profiles confirmed availability, and two never responded. It then occurred to me that it would be easier to find a sitter closer to Furman for faster p/u after the event. I messaged Shana at 8:28 am and at 8:30 she replied “Hi there! You can drop him off now if you like.“ Her responsiveness was incredible, and greatly appreciated. Her tiny home community was so cute and inviting, and her location made for a quick and easy drop off and pick up. Our Dachshund, Bandit, obviously found her home (and her lap) very comfortable, as we received several photos of him relaxing on her lap in front of the wood burning stove. He seemed to get along well with her Lhasa Apso, Wally, who was about the same size as Bandit, as we received several photos of them taking walks and napping together on the sofa. I can say without a doubt that we will hire Shana every year for the Scottish Games at Furman, if she is still dog sitting and available (fingers crossed!).”

About: I care for animals of all ages. I'm here to give your furry loved one all the attention and cuddles they deserve! My goal is to help pets have so much fun that they don't have time to miss you! I currently work full time but I am free after 2pm for walks and drop-ins. I'm an early riser so I'm available for house sitting all week and super early morning drop-ins. I follow the client's instructions exactly. About: Hello, my name is Shannon! I have had animals just about my whole life! I have 30 years of experience from bathing, feeding, walking, medicine administration and just loving them to name a few. I grew up with dogs, cats, hamsters, a ferret, rabbits, fish, and snakes. My mom bread cats and dogs and also trained them. She taught our Siamese cat to take baths and hold onto the soap dish during his bath. We all took part in their care and training and I learned a lot from my mom. When I was a teenager I rescued a kitten from outside, it was so much fun; we had an amazing relationship. Our family currently has a rescued Doberman mix who we adopted 5 years ago. She is an amazing, very loyal dog! As you see, I’ve had different types of animals and in that I have had both young and old pets, so I know the different temperaments and patience that is required for all! I am not working a full-time job. I am looking to work with clients from Rover on a part-time basis. I have plenty of time to love on your pets! Please let me know what your needs are and I will get the job done. I will always keep your dog on a leash and keep your pet safe. I will follow all instructions and update you with pictures.

About: 20+ years experience! I owned a pet sitting service years ago in Florida. It was my way as a single mother to supplement my teaching income. At one time I employed 11 veterinarian technicians as our popularity quickly grew. I retired from teaching recently and I’m now returning to my true love; caring for pets. I personally own two dogs. I adopted a standard poodle from a breeder two years ago. Sobe loves to snuggle and hike. He adores playing with other dogs. Ellie is a 13 year old Toy Poodle. She and Sobe are best buddies. I am available 7 days a week and can be flexible with times and frequency of visits. As, I have pets at home I CANNOT sleep overnight in client’s homes, but can make extra trips throughout the day and night to meet pet’s needs. Special requests will be considered. I am also available to care for a variety of pets. Safety comes first. (I am fully COVID vaccinated). I also rely heavily on detailed instructions from pet owners. I appreciate clear communication about each client and their pet’s needs in order to serve them best.

“Hannah was great. We needed someone to watch our large, high energy puppy and found Hannah. We wanted our dog to have the chance to play with another dog if possible, so she arranged for our pup to meet her dog prior to the stay. Hannah and Conan (her dog) were both awesome. She sent us updates and pics throughout the day of Charlie (our boy) playing the yard and with her dog, Conan. Hannah even walked Charlie to help get some of his energy out.
