About: My name is Manuela (Ela for short). I have experience working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities, and I truly love what I do. I treat every dog like one of my own, making sure they are safe, happy, and comfortable while in my care. I live with my mom and sister, and we all love dogs and helping care for them. Because we want every dog to get plenty of attention and a calm environment, we only board one dog at a time (we can do 2+ but only from the same household. Text me to discuss it) I work at the county animal shelter three days a week, so I have experience handling dogs of different breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’m comfortable working with shy, energetic, or nervous dogs, and I also have experience giving medications when needed. On the days I am not home, my mom or sister are usually at the house helping care for the dog. If there is ever a time when no one is home, the dog will be safely crated. At night, dogs can stay in my room with me, or if they are crate trained we will continue the routine and training they already follow at home. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they are away from you. We do our best to keep their routine as close as possible to what they are used to at home. Pet care fits easily into my weekly routine. I’m happy to coordinate with you and adjust my schedule when possible to make sure your pet gets the care they need. About: I've taken care of all kinds of dogs since I was a young child. The only time I didn't have a dog in my care was when I was in college living in dorm rooms, and even then I went to the local shelter to walk and love on puppies while mine were back home. I have experience training dogs and caring for puppies. I love all dogs, big, small and everything in-between! I am a stay at home Mom right now with young children. My schedule is pretty open except when I'm running around to pick a youngin' up a few times a day! I'd love to fill my extra time with helping care for your fur babies! I currently have three dogs of my own and all are big dogs. We have a nice, safe, fenced in backyard great for running around. About: My B.A. in Equine Studies/Horse Training makes me an excellent option for farm animals, exotic pets, etc, but my love for all animals has kept me working in the pet care industry ever since I was 10! About: 20+ years experience! I owned a pet sitting service years ago in Florida. It was my way as a single mother to supplement my teaching income. At one time I employed 11 veterinarian technicians as our popularity quickly grew. I retired from teaching recently and I’m now returning to my true love; caring for pets. I personally own two dogs. I adopted a standard poodle from a breeder two years ago. Sobe loves to snuggle and hike. He adores playing with other dogs. Ellie is a 13 year old Toy Poodle. She and Sobe are best buddies. I am available 7 days a week and can be flexible with times and frequency of visits. As, I have pets at home I CANNOT sleep overnight in client’s homes, but can make extra trips throughout the day and night to meet pet’s needs. Special requests will be considered. I am also available to care for a variety of pets. Safety comes first. (I am fully COVID vaccinated). I also rely heavily on detailed instructions from pet owners. I appreciate clear communication about each client and their pet’s needs in order to serve them best.

“Shana was very accomodating, taking a last minute request for dog sitting after our normal sitter cancelled. We are yearly sponsors of the Scottish Games at Furman, which is an all day event from 8:30 to 7:30, the Saturday before Memorial Day. I sent requests to four sitters on Rover that morning that were close to our house in Taylors. Two responded they were booked, even though their profiles confirmed availability, and two never responded. It then occurred to me that it would be easier to find a sitter closer to Furman for faster p/u after the event. I messaged Shana at 8:28 am and at 8:30 she replied “Hi there! You can drop him off now if you like.“ Her responsiveness was incredible, and greatly appreciated. Her tiny home community was so cute and inviting, and her location made for a quick and easy drop off and pick up. Our Dachshund, Bandit, obviously found her home (and her lap) very comfortable, as we received several photos of him relaxing on her lap in front of the wood burning stove. He seemed to get along well with her Lhasa Apso, Wally, who was about the same size as Bandit, as we received several photos of them taking walks and napping together on the sofa. I can say without a doubt that we will hire Shana every year for the Scottish Games at Furman, if she is still dog sitting and available (fingers crossed!).”
