“Kerstin was wonderful!! She stayed in our home for a week with our 5 cats and was better than I even expected! This was my first time using Rover and meeting Kerstin. Usually a family member will drop in to feed our cats but I really wanted someone who could stay there and maintain the cats routine. I picked Kerstin because of her great reviews and she really lived up to those reviews! She got to know each cat and sent pics and updates of what the cats did everyday which I loved! While we were gone we felt comfortable and grateful to have Kerstin there looking after things. When we got home the house was clean and sanitized, she brought in the mail, the bed was made with clean sheets and she even ironed pillowcases along with some other special touches and gifts for our kids. About: I have been the neighborhood pet sitter for years. Neighbors trusted me with their senior dogs of 11 and 14, their dogs that had unending energy, puppies of around 1 or so, and cats and even fish too. I love going to the Greenville humane society and walking dogs of all kinds that have no home, and I have also worked on a couple farms taking care of dogs and cats and other farm animals as well. About: I love all dogs, big and small. I currently have my foster fail Enzo from the Greenville Humane Society so your little (or big) ones will have a friend to play with. I have a soft spot for pitties and chihuahuas. I used to share my world with two wonderful pitties (cannot wait to see them at Rainbow Bridge). I would walk them at least four miles every day or go hiking on weekends. Enzo is now two so we chase balls and play with toys on our land and will go hiking when we can. “Shana was very accomodating, taking a last minute request for dog sitting after our normal sitter cancelled. We are yearly sponsors of the Scottish Games at Furman, which is an all day event from 8:30 to 7:30, the Saturday before Memorial Day. I sent requests to four sitters on Rover that morning that were close to our house in Taylors. Two responded they were booked, even though their profiles confirmed availability, and two never responded. It then occurred to me that it would be easier to find a sitter closer to Furman for faster p/u after the event. I messaged Shana at 8:28 am and at 8:30 she replied “Hi there! You can drop him off now if you like.“ Her responsiveness was incredible, and greatly appreciated. Her tiny home community was so cute and inviting, and her location made for a quick and easy drop off and pick up. Our Dachshund, Bandit, obviously found her home (and her lap) very comfortable, as we received several photos of him relaxing on her lap in front of the wood burning stove. He seemed to get along well with her Lhasa Apso, Wally, who was about the same size as Bandit, as we received several photos of them taking walks and napping together on the sofa. I can say without a doubt that we will hire Shana every year for the Scottish Games at Furman, if she is still dog sitting and available (fingers crossed!).”

About: I have found that dogs prefer to be in their own envirement when their owner's are away, so most of my jobs are from repeat clients and referrals for in home stays. Your pet stays in their own environment which is less stressful. As requested by you, we go on walks, mini hikes, car rides, sleep in bed with them, just lounge and watch TV, administer special diets or medicines, drop off at another relative, etc. I am flexible. Your house stays safe with someone home, mail and newspapers picked up, etc. One client always has contractors over for their large remodel. I first became a dog sitter for my 2 grandpups, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels a boy and a girl. My daughter may be the most demaning, pickiest, list of rules person in the world. Her dogs are her children and I know yours are too. So please if you feel bad about leaving them, if you have a weird request I will understand. Since I am semi-retired I have more flexibility as well. I have had dogs who needed me to sit on the floor with them while they eat, want to sleep in same bed as me, constantly want to sit on my lap or next to me. About: I’ve had a dog all my life and love taking care of them! I currently have an 8 month old puppy so very familiar with puppies and have rescued a 2 year old dog from a shelter. I have worked with dogs all ages from puppy to senior dogs! Would love to be of help to anyone who needs me and spend time with your doggies! :)) I’m working with an internship currently on Tuesdays and Thursdays so am free Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and some weekends! I can do any time during those days!! I have a fenced yard with an 8 month old puppy. I am happy to bring dogs to my home and walk them and keep them letting them run around my fenced yard. I am happy to come to your home and walk dogs, spend time with them inside, and do whatever needs you want!!

About: My love for animals started young, as I grew up in an household full of pets and maintained responsibilities including feeding, potty care, and daily head scratches / cuddles. For over 10 years, I regularly provided full daily care with walks, feeding, playtime, and lots of attention! I treat every pet like they’re my own and understand how important it is to feel confident that your animal is in reliable, attentive hands. I’m available on the weekends as you head to a getaway! “Having just traveled across the country, we found ourselves staying with relatives for a time while we waited for our new apartment to be open for us. Our standard poodle, Ranger, was not understanding why we never seemed to be going home, and that was what he wanted most to do. We were very thankful that our relatives had been able to accommodate us, however, having Ranger in their home was not working well for them. So, we looked for a rover.com care person in the area to help us out for the days until we could move into our apartment. That’s where Dee came in. She was gracious and accommodating. She opened her home to Ranger for ten days, and made him welcome. In other boarding situations in the past, he was cared for, but he ALWAYS lost a considerable amount of weight. Not with Dee!! Dee gave Ranger all of the TLC he needed even during this time that was so uncertain for him. She got her hands right into his food and mixed his Fresh Pet food with his kibble so that every piece of kibble was coated with the tastier food. And it worked! Because even though he may have been missing us, he ate! And he didn’t lose any weight! We could tell she had gone the extra mile with him, and we are very grateful for the care she gave him. Five stars doesn’t even say enough for how happy we are with the care she gave our Ranger.”

I myself was extremely anxious leaving my girls with a stranger, especially when I haven’t been away from one of them since I rescued her and wasn’t sure how she would be. Both also have attachment anxiety. Both warmed up to Anna and her husband almost instantly, and I felt comfort when I left them for a work trip. I got updates throughout the day, and pictures showing my girls having fun and relaxing. I highly recommend Anna, and will use her again in the future if I ever need someone to watch my girls for me.”
