“Angela and her family took very good care of our two dogs! We are very pleased and appreciate the special kindness paid to our new, shy dog, who is often skittish around new people. We hope to rebook with Angela R.”

“Our bernedoodle loved staying with Sierra! She has a large fenced yard for dogs to run and play in. Izzy was sad when she came back home and did not have any children to play with anymore. We knew Izzy was in good hands while we were away!”

“Lauren and Jonathan were lovely! They took such great care of our puppy over the holiday and sent lots of picture updates. Edie seemed to have a vacation of her own with them! We would book them again in a heartbeat.”

“Mishael was amazing--so welcoming & accommodating--which was a blessing bc our dog was stinky! We tried to get her bathed & groomed but Kotie wouldn't have it, & we needed to get out of town on short notice. Very thankful for Mishael!”

“Michelle was great!! She was flexible with our schedule, sent lots of pics and really took great care of our dog. Would definitely recommend Michelle to others, especially if your dog enjoys hanging with friends.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Chelsea and Fernando! They were incredibly caring, reliable, and conscientious about keeping our dog on her normal routine. They paid close attention to her feeding schedule, walks, and daily habits, helping her feel comfortable and at home while we were away. Communication was also excellent. We received regular updates and photos, and they were always quick to respond to any questions or messages. It was clear that they genuinely cared about our dog and wanted to make sure she was happy and well cared for. We would absolutely recommend them and will definitely use them again!”

“Shayne & Johnathan were so helpful & accommodating as I scheduled our dogs stay super last minute! Dottie & George had a blast playing with their new friends!! We’ll definitely be using them anytime we have to go out of town & our babies can’t come along!! Thanks so much, Shayne & Johnathan!!!!!”

“Mary and her husband Larry were incredible. She took amazing care of our puppy and kept us updated the entire time we were gone. We would not hesitate twice to leave Cooper in her care again. Thank you!”

“Andrea was very helpful guiding me through the process of Rover. As a first time user, I wasn’t sure how everything worked and she explained everything completely. She welcomed my two fur babies into her home for a week while my husband and I were out of the country. I was a little hesitant since it was my first time leaving them with anyone, but she was very reassuring that they were in good hands. While away she messaged us with updates and pictures. Upon picking them up she told us how much she enjoyed watching them. We highly recommend Andrea to anyone looking.”

“First time my furbaby, Powder was away from me for an extended period of tome. Rusty was super, he calmed my concerns by helping set up a meet and greet. Messged me often with updates and photos. My baby really enjoyed the large fenced in yard.”

“I'm thrilled to share an incredible review for the wonderful person who looked after my dog. They were incredibly kind, played with my dog extensively, and even sent me adorable photos and videos of their playtime. The presence of farm animals like a duck, chicken, and pony added to the joyful experience, as they didn't bother my dog. Their quick responses, respect, and genuine care made the entire pet-sitting experience outstanding. If you’re looking for someone to watch your dog I will forever recommend Julia and her incredible family who made me leaving my dog so easy & carefree. My dog came home with a huge smile and was tired days after because they took so much time to care for him and play with him. Julia and her family are just like family to me after this stay. I seriously can’t recommend Julia enough she is incredible.”

“Absolutely wonderful I would recommend her to anyone! Our pup had so much fun with her other dog and the fenced in yard was so large! Shireen was very accommodating as we had an emergency and needed her to be watched a couple more days! I would recommend her and will absolutely be using her again! She kept great contact and sent lots of pictures to keep us updated!”

About: This is mine (Katy Snipes) and my husbands (Chad) account. We have had dogs and cats our whole life. We are comfortable with basic training and commands and love the old timers who need a little more TLC. We can’t wait to meet your fur babies. I (Katy) am currently a stay at home mom with my sweet first born son. I am very flexible during the week and would love to get on some walks with your pets. My husband offers available hands week day evenings as well as weekends. We have a fenced in back yard that our beagle loves to run around and play in. He is a spitfire when the energy is high, but can also lounge around the house when he knows it’s time to chill. We have a crate available if that is needed. However, our house is very pet friendly and open for your pet to make themselves at home.
“Ayaka took wonderful care of Kai during my 3 day getaway. She shared lots of pics of him during this time and I know he had so much fun playing with her pup and daughter. Would definitely book again!”

Absolutely recommend her! ❤️ She cared for our dog for 7 days and treated him like her own. The constant updates and pictures gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She and her husband are incredibly sweet, and their dog is just as friendly and welcoming. We would happily trust her with our baby again 🫶🏼

I highly recommend Colby as your #1 Rover pet sitter! She is outstanding! Colby was very caring, attentive, and accommodating to Jessie's particular needs, habits, and routines. It's very evident she has a lot of experience with a variety of animals and genuinely wants her special visitors to 'feel-at-home' and enjoy their time while in her care. Thank you, Colby for giving such great care to Miss Jessie Rae! We sincerely appreciate you and look forward to seeing you again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
