“Excellent, empathetic care for our two dogs, both of whom can be on the shy side. We are a repeat client and plan to continue requesting care from Angela and her family.”

“Julie is amazing! Very compassionate with my senior dog. I think Piper would move in with her if it was an option. Loved the communication and pictures throughout the stay. Will definitely book again! Thank you!”

“We felt completely at ease on our trip knowing that our dogs were being well cared for in her home. She truly loves what she does and is extremely conscientious. She and Cole really make a great team and were so caring in treating our dogs like their very own. Also, excellent communication...we just couldn't have asked for a better experience!!”

About: Hello! My name is Alex and I have had a dog (or two) my entire life. Right now, Hank is my main man. He's a boxer mix I rescued in Albuquerque, NM in 2022. We think he's 5 or 6, so let's go with 5! I love all animals and I love being active so your pet is sure to have the best walk and/or playtime hanging with me. I'm a very reliable, attentive, and trustworthy person and pet owner and I promise to make your life (and your pet's) all the easier by taking the stress out of being away from home. I currently work from home so I can give your pet all the time and attention they deserve. I promise your pet will return safe, happy, and ready to play with me again :) I am available every day of the week, with the majority of my time spent at home and around my neighborhood. I drop my children off in the mornings to either camp or school, and do pick up in the afternoons. As long as I can work around those pick ups and drop offs, I'm available! I have a fully fenced yard and a large, pet-friendly house (non-smoking). I have a neutered boxer mix named Hank who we rescued back in 2022 in Albuquerque, NM. Hank is very friendly, energetic, and curious and always enjoys playing with a new friend.
“We are so lucky to have found Michelle. She is absolutely WONDERFUL! Our boy Louie was so well loved and cared for— in every picture she sent, he had a big ol smile on his face. Excellent communication and updates during his stay. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. It was easy to rest at night knowing he was in good hands. Thank you Michelle!”

“Mary is very active with my doggie. She takes her for walks during the day and she has a nice, safe fenced in backyard. She’s really patient as well. Sends pictures and updates as well which puts any pet parent at ease.”

“Matthew and Heidi were amazing and took great care of our pup. Very responsive, and incredibly kind when our pick-up time had to be adjusted. Would absolutely book with them again!”

“I felt very comfortable leaving my lil Leila with Andrea She sent me adorable pics which made me very happy. She snuggled and loved my dog when I was gone. I will definitely use her again and recommend her to anyone in need of a pet sitter. Thank you Andrea!”

“Our boys we exhausted from all the playing they did at your house. We used to say “let’s go see the baby & Emilee” we might change it to the “Fun house”, lol. Thank you for taking great care of them again!”

“We are so thankful to have found such a wonderful place for our elderly Shih Tzu to stay when he can’t travel with us. Carolyn sent lots of pictures, videos, and updates each day to let us know how he was doing and it seemed like he was having a great time! It’s truly a comfort to know he is in such a safe and loving environment.”

“We will definitely be choosing Cynthia for any future boarding!! I could tell from our initial phone call that they would be in great hands. She asked excellent questions to ensure she was a good fit and to ensure our dogs would enjoy their time with her. And our dogs had an excellent time, I could tell from the multiple photos she updated us with daily. ♥️ She was also very responsive to messaging and asked follow-up questions as needed (during their stay) to make sure she wasn't bending any "house rules" we have for them. She spoils them like grandfurbabies but wants to make sure they aren't completely rotten. ? You and your pups will not be disappointed in Cynthia!”

About: I have cared for many dogs throughout childhood into adulthood. I decided to start offering my services as our golden retriever passed away almost a year ago. This reminded me of how much joy and comfort dogs bring into our lives and how important it is to make sure they feel that same love and care in return! I work M-F 8am to 5pm but my Friday night, Saturday and Sundays are open to dog sitting! I love going on neighborhood walks and hikes and would love for your dog to join me. I have a fenced in back yard and do not have any other pets, so your pup can run around and sniff in the yard as much as they want.
“Shayne and Jonathan were amazing! Murphy was such a happy pup when we picked her up — you can tell she was well loved and taken care of. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for sitters who will treat their dog like family!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lyman
"I cannot recommend [Madison C.] enough! She took absolutely incredible care of my two dogs. Every single day, she sent professional-grade photos of them that I will honestly treasure forever. She followed our feeding instructions perfectly, which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. To top it all off, she gave them both a bath before I picked them up, and they smelled absolutely amazing! She truly went above and beyond, and I will definitely be booking with her again."

I highly recommend Colby as your #1 Rover pet sitter! She is outstanding! Colby was very caring, attentive, and accommodating to Jessie's particular needs, habits, and routines. It's very evident she has a lot of experience with a variety of animals and genuinely wants her special visitors to 'feel-at-home' and enjoy their time while in her care. Thank you, Colby for giving such great care to Miss Jessie Rae! We sincerely appreciate you and look forward to seeing you again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
