“Great time with Cristina and her family as always! Lots and lots of pictures and videos. My doggie stays busy all day playing and getting belly rubs. Highly recommend Cristina to other dog moms and dads.”

“Mishael and her family were amazing caretakers of our little guy - a chihuahua mix. I was nervous to board him because it was NYE and we were visiting from out of town however she matched the glowing reviews from other clients and quickly put us at ease. I forgot his food of all things and she dipped into her supply. When he cried at night they allowed him to sleep with a family member. They made it look easy with kids and dogs!! I’m so grateful we found them. Thank you!!”

“Our bernedoodle loved staying with Sierra! She has a large fenced yard for dogs to run and play in. Izzy was sad when she came back home and did not have any children to play with anymore. We knew Izzy was in good hands while we were away!”

“Garrett was amazing with my two dogs! We needed a sitter at the last minute and he was very flexible with us allowing us to schedule a quick meet and greet before the booking. It’s worth mentioning that one of my dogs can be a handful at times but Garrett was so patient with him. The communication was frequent all week long (including sending pictures). My dogs got along well with his sweet dog as well. We definitely hope to use his services again!”

“Ayaka and her family were AMAZING with our baby boy during our week long vacation. He was well-loved and taken care of while we were away. She sent precious pictures and videos daily, which was so comforting. She did so well with our anxious and needy pup, Boomer!! We will definitely use her again and can't thank her enough!!”

“Andre and her family did a fantastic job caring for our mini bernedoodle! Andre was prompt with all communication and scheduling was easy. Her home is welcoming and Biscotti really enjoyed playing with their sweet lab and snuggling her kids. We could tell Biscotti was well-cared for when we brought her back home- she was calm and happy and jumped right back into our family routines- like she had a great vacation too! Thanks, Andre and fam! We’ll definitely book with Andre again.”

About: I have worked with animals since I was 12. From big to small, furry to not furry, I’ve done it all. I lived on a farm for a couple years and I’ve handled horses, cows, sheep, dogs, cats, and chickens. I have experience with older dogs as well as puppies and reactive dogs who need a little extra care. I am currently in school part time so I’ll still have plenty of time to care for your fur babies, I’ve always loved animals and have two fur babies of my own. I’m very active and your dogs will not just be sitting around. I enjoy going for walks on a trail and taking my dogs to the lake. I’m always down for anything, whether it’s a day going out or a day just chilling in the house. I live in an apartment that has a fenced in dog park, I also have dog crates in my home that can be used if your dog needs to be crated, if your dog is specific about the environment they eat in I have rooms they can go into to be by themselves, or if your dog is the complete opposite I have two dogs of my own that they can play with.
“I can’t tell you how amazing and accommodating Bobbie was!!! She took great care of my two huskies. She is quick to respond and kept me up to date while I was out of the country. 11 out of 10 would recommend!!!”

“I haven’t left Kaia with a sitter in years. I originally was so nervous to leave her. Mya relieved my worries with daily messages and pictures of her and Kaia. I was very pleased!”

“Shenee takes such great care of my beagle Buddy, and he seems to immediately feel at home! Shenee is so attentive about taking pictures, and keeping me informed on how he is doing!”

“Ben was great to give us updates on our dog Yuki as she stayed with him and his family over a weekend. She was well taken care of and it was great to have some peace of mind knowing Yuki was in good hands. I would certainly recommend Ben for anyone needing to have someone look after their pet!”

“Madi and her family were so welcoming and loving to my girls. They provided peace of mind and were accommodating to our extra needs due to being stuck out of town longer than anticipated. She sent multiple daily updates with photos showing me they were in the best of care. My girls experienced so many cuddles, walks, and a lot of playtime…they may have even been reluctant to leave Madi’s home! The communication was beyond excellent and I for sure trust her with my dogs again! 🐾🩷💕”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
