“Madison and her family were AMAZING!!! She was very responsive during the whole process. She sent 2-3 updates a day with pictures AND videos. I’ll definitely be using her for future bookings! Penny can’t wait to visit again!!! 💗🐾”

“Lindsay was so great in ensuring that we were kept up to date on all activities throughout our dog’s stay. She took photos, sent videos, and daily updates that put our minds at ease. Our dog Cilantro had a great time and I would definitely recommend Lindsay to anyone who ever needs dog boarding services!”

“Mary did an excellent job taking care of our Honeybun! She was attentive to her needs, provided lots of walks and playtime, and even snuggled her at bedtime! We have already booked her again for our next trip. Mary has a beautiful, clean facility and obviously loves dogs. Highly recommend!”

“Meghan was so nice and understanding. When I dropped off my dog I immediately knew he was in good hands. She sent me pictures of him during his stay and he looked happy. I had to pick him up earlier than expected and she was so sweet about it. If I’m ever in the area again I will rebook.”

“Andre and her family did a fantastic job caring for our mini bernedoodle! Andre was prompt with all communication and scheduling was easy. Her home is welcoming and Biscotti really enjoyed playing with their sweet lab and snuggling her kids. We could tell Biscotti was well-cared for when we brought her back home- she was calm and happy and jumped right back into our family routines- like she had a great vacation too! Thanks, Andre and fam! We’ll definitely book with Andre again.”

“Margery (and her pup Chica) are the absolute best!! My dog stayed with them for 8 days, the longest I had ever been away from her. I felt no mom guilt, I knew she was having the best time while I was gone! Margery sent pictures and updates every day, which I absolutely loved. And I could tell she treated my little lady as one of her own. I highly recommend her for any dog sitting needs!”

“April was very accommodating and responsive to my needs. She sent multiple pics throughout the day (which were very adorable). My dog had a fun and safe place to stay while I visited relatives for the day.”

About: I have cared for many dogs throughout childhood into adulthood. I decided to start offering my services as our golden retriever passed away almost a year ago. This reminded me of how much joy and comfort dogs bring into our lives and how important it is to make sure they feel that same love and care in return! I work M-F 8am to 5pm but my Friday night, Saturday and Sundays are open to dog sitting! I love going on neighborhood walks and hikes and would love for your dog to join me. I have a fenced in back yard and do not have any other pets, so your pup can run around and sniff in the yard as much as they want.
“Randy is awesome. He watched my older dog and sent lots of updates. He has a nice fenced in yard for dogs so she got a lot of playtime. He’s also flexible with pickup and drop off.”

“Heather was amazing! Our dog Sport had the best time while we were away for a week! Heather was a blessing to our family! She sent us daily updates with pictures and she was very loving to Sport, he also had a great time with the other dogs, which were very nice! Heather is great at her job, we are thankful we booked with her for the first time, and we will do it again!!! We recommend her 100% 👍 The Barnes family”

“So kind and patient—I’d never left my dog with a sitter before and was very nervous, but I could tell right away that Peep was in good hands with Laura. She and her family were the right fit for Peep—I could tell that he was sad to leave them when I picked him up. ;)”

About: I am passionate for dogs, I find there loyalty and love that they give to us is amazing! I love children but never had any, so therefore doggies have always been my babies. I first got my first two chihuahuas about 28 years ago and haven’t been without a furry angel. I would't have any other way-doggies are smart and just amazingly fun. Certainly, they deserve the best possible love and care one can provide, and I love to care and give. That in itself, makes me joyful! I’m a self employed fine artist, so I’m fairly flexible. Other than the gym, appointments, etc, - normal errands. That is pretty much the current extent of my schedule. I travel from time to time, but not regularly.so I am at home a lot. I have a small harmless chihuahua ,”Lilly “, so it’s just her and me. I always am well aware of where the doggies are, inside and outside. They always have water and food if necessary, according to the client’s wishes. That, is primary for me, making certain I am abiding by the client’s needs and requests, while simply using common sense. I’m good at finding a resolution to any situation, if there was one, and being prepared ahead of time. Even just for the simple things. I am an Airforce veteran and just love doing good things for others. For I know, for my Lilly, I make sure if she can’t travel with me, she goes to a “pet resort” or I also use Rover. I have a decent size yard with room to play and I don’t mind if they want to lay on the couch or bed, however they feel comfortable and happy. I also know that doggies can get emotional when their parents drop them off. Lilly gets all kinds of emotions when I have to leave her. These precious 4-leggers are smart too!
“Karen is a wonderful sitter! Finn absolutely loved going. He has been there twice now and she is great about sending fun pictures and videos to know he was doing well. She is very responsive and overall had a great experience using her to watch Finn.”

“She did an amazing job. Gave me daily updates with pictures of my pup! Took her on daily walks and gave her medication at a timely manner. I could tell my dog felt very safe with her and I definitely will book again in the future. She was also kind enough to extend the date due to unforeseen circumstances on my vacation.”

“I’ve booked with her multiple times now, and I can confidently say she is absolutely amazing. She is very responsive, professional, and always keeps me updated, which gives me so much peace of mind when I’m away. Most importantly, Mazi loves her, and that tells me everything I need to know. It’s clear she truly cares about the dogs she watches and treats them like her own. Every time I book with her, I know Mazi is in great hands, and that kind of trust is priceless. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable, trustworthy, and genuinely great with dogs.”

“Kelly took such great care of my dog. My dog has a lot of allergies and requires special food and treats and supplements and she was very accommodating to those. She also sent updates and videos while I was away which put me at ease knowing how well my dog was being cared for. Kelly was able very flexible and allowed me to pick up my pet late due to delays which I was grateful for.”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Dustin and Abby truly love dogs and our Teddy did great with them. They sent us so many fun photos and updates and made the whole experience very comfortable. We will absolutely use them again!”

Jessica has a wonderful home and environment for my little dog, Ollie. She was real flexible with drop off and pick up times and was great with communications and updates with photos while sitting our dog for two weeks. She did a wonderful job of accommodating our custom needs for Ollie with his medication‘s and feedings. I would definitely use her again to watch our dog.

Amanda was absolutely wonderful with our Ernie! ❤️ He had such a great time with her and we could tell right away that he was in such caring and responsible hands. She treated him like her own and made sure he was happy and comfortable the whole time. We especially loved getting all the videos and photos she sent us throughout his stay. It was so reassuring to see him having such a great time 🥰! Communication with Amanda was also super easy, friendly, and reliable from start to finish. We would absolutely trust Amanda with Ernie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, responsible and wonderful sitter ♥️. Thank you so much, Amanda!

This was the second time I’ve had my dogs stay with Karen, and she was great with them again! She was generously flexible when we had some slight changes in plans leaving as well as it taking me longer to drive home than expected. She was able to adjust literally last second to one of my girls needing to take an antibiotic. Very grateful for Karen and would definitely recommend her!

Matthew and Heidi did an amazing job taking care of our 2 dogs for 3 weeks! Our senior dog has incontinence issues and they handled it extremely well and professional. I received regular updates without getting overwhelmed with pictures as this was quite a long stay. They always respond very timely in case of questions. I had a very good feeling leaving our dogs with them although we booked them for the first time. I will definitely book with them again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
