“Rebecca is absolutely AMAZING! She took such great care of my sweet Etta and sent tons of adorable photos of her playing with the other dogs—Etta looked like she was having the time of her life. She even ate really well, which is rare when she’s away from home. Honestly, I’m a little embarrassed to admit that Etta seemed sad to leave all her new friends and come home to just me, haha! Rebecca is incredibly communicative, her home is spotless, and Etta smelled so good when she came back—I genuinely thought she had been given a bath, but it turns out that was just the lovely scent of Rebecca’s home. Also, her partner is just as kind and welcoming, which made me feel even more at ease. I truly can’t recommend Rebecca enough. She’s the best!”

“Fabienne was fantastic with my Ginny girl! She sent lots of updates and pictures so I could follow along. Very good communication and she is very sweet and caring. Will definitely use again!!”

“Lindsay was so great in ensuring that we were kept up to date on all activities throughout our dog’s stay. She took photos, sent videos, and daily updates that put our minds at ease. Our dog Cilantro had a great time and I would definitely recommend Lindsay to anyone who ever needs dog boarding services!”

About: I have 10+ years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. As an active foster, I've cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities, helping them adjust to new environments and providing the patience and attention they need to thrive. I have 2 friendly dogs & 2 sweet cats. I also have fosters that come in and out of my care, but I will always keep dogs separated when in new environments. I'm experienced with post-surgery care, administering oral medications and injections, and following special dietary requirements. I understand how important it is to stick to your pet's routine and will provide the same loving, attentive care they're used to at home. For the safety and well-being of all pets in my care, I require that dogs be up to date on their vaccinations and be spayed or neutered. I look forward to keeping your sweet babies!! I currently work full time, but none of my dogs are alone longer than 6 hours. I have weekends off so I will be home all day to care for your pets Saturday and Sunday! I have a fenced yard and 2 friendly gentle giants! I have fosters as well. Im currently foster a sweet mama Great Pyrenees who loves all people and pets. I can easily crate or separate dogs if they do not get along. I will NEVER keep dogs together while I am away, so you can always trust that they will be safe 😊

“Left our two large and active dogs with Garrett for a week while we went on vacation! They had the best time, we got pictures and updates everyday, and picked up clean dogs that were absolutely exhausted! We will definitely be looking to board with Garrett in the future!”

“I loved that we kept in contact through the weekend. This was my girls (2 Chihuahuas) first time ever being away from me. They have always stayed with my family but since moving to a new state, I don't know anyone. After meeting her, I felt comfortable with leaving my baby girls. She communicated very well and sent me a picture of my girls. Thank you so much Karen.”

“My goodness !! Mary was incredible to our Charlotte. She went above and beyond everything!! Sent pictures, gave updates , fussed over her , took her on walks and treated her with such love. It made it so easy to leave her . She was happy when we dropped her off and happy when we picked her up !!! Hope we can get in again if she’s not booked for the rest of the summer !!!!”

About: I have cared for many dogs throughout childhood into adulthood. I decided to start offering my services as our golden retriever passed away almost a year ago. This reminded me of how much joy and comfort dogs bring into our lives and how important it is to make sure they feel that same love and care in return! I work M-F 8am to 5pm but my Friday night, Saturday and Sundays are open to dog sitting! I love going on neighborhood walks and hikes and would love for your dog to join me. I have a fenced in back yard and do not have any other pets, so your pup can run around and sniff in the yard as much as they want.
“Lindsay is amazing!! She took very good care of my fur baby while I was on vacation for 2 weeks. He has separation anxiety and I was worried, but he did great with her. She updated me with text and pictures the entire time. I highly recommended.”

“Miriam was AMAZING with my energetic husky! This was my first time using this app, and she exceeded my expectations! She gave so many updates and pictures! She will take care of all of your worries and you can leave your pet without feeling nervous! Will definitely use her again! ❤️❤️”

Nikki and Dave are great! The minute I dropped our puppy I was sure she will be well taken care of. Nola had a great vacation, full of play, love and doggy splash. Our flight got delayed and Nikki kept her for one extra night at no charge. I found the trustable care, and Nola will be a frequent guest at Nikki’s 🐶❤️

Wendy took great care of Ellie! She communicated throughout the stay, was flexible with scheduling, and made the whole experience easy and stress-free. It was clear that Ellie was well loved and well cared for while she was with Wendy. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable sitter.

My pup & I had such a great experience Edward! He made sure Jack-Jack got all the exercise, play time, attention & love he needed. He also provided constant updates and photos which I always appreciate. I felt so at ease the whole weekend knowing Jack-Jack was in good hands. Would highly recommend!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
