“Gioia was amazing! She took such good care of my pups. They loved all the attention and care she gave during their drop ins. I had such piece of mind while we were away. This was our first time using Rover and meeting Gioia and I am so happy we did!! She communicated wonderfully and sent such cute pictures of my happy pups. Our pups can be a handful sometimes because they jump and want all the attention, but she didn’t seem to mind and gave them tons of love while we were out of town! About: I have always loved animals every since I was a little girl. I raised a puppy so I know how puppy life is! I’ve taken care of many dogs for other people. I even house sat and lived with someone’s puppy and senior doggy for two weeks once! I work part time from 9-3, Monday-Thursday. I’m able to take care of your baby anytime before 9 or after 3 on those days. Friday-Sunday I’m an open book! I will make sure they have food and water first. Then I will take them outside (if needed). Or clean the litter box (if needed). I will love on them and make sure they’re all set before I leave.
“Lisa was amazing. She watched my scruffy while I was out of town over the holidays and kept me up to date on everything. Even letting me know when his water fountain broke and setting up an alternative water bowl for him. Can’t recommend her enough.”

About: I’ve owned animals most of my life but recently started traveling full time and have been house/pet sitting around the US since October 2025. It’s been amazing getting to know and spend time with so many different pets along the way! I travel full time so wherever I’m at, my schedule can be very flexible to allow for the best routine for your pets! I am available for overnight sits, daytime care, walks, drop-ins and adventure walks. Since I travel full time, pet care will need to be done in the clients home. I have many references from others I’ve sat for stating that I’m respectful of your home, taking care of your belongings and your animals, giving you peace of mind while you’re away.
“Morgan is so wonderful! She went out of her way to do a meet and greet prior to our booking to meet our golden retriever Goose and get the details down for the visit. She was flexible with last changes in our schedule & we appreciate that so much! Highly recommend!”

“First time using AJ and she was awesome!! She communicated well with me the whole time I was away and even checked in to ensure my return date was correct so Maddox would be cared for. Your pet is in safe hands with AJ.”

About: I will literally put my own body in front of any harm to an animal. I have owned animals my whole life. I have done cat rescue in the past and the 3 cats I do have are rescue, as well as my dogs I have and have had in the past. My schedule is open and very flexible. I am available for sitting walking feeding and giving medication. I am also available to play with your fur babies. My animals have a routine everyday, feeding and going outside. My dog and I hike a lot. My cats are fully inside cats even the tripod cat I saved, he is fun. They all get along. Very well spoiled.

Stacie was absolutely amazing!! She took such great care of our two cats while we were on vacation for a week. It was so nice not having to worry while on vacation because I knew they were in great hands. You can really tell Stacie loves all animals. I highly recommend her, and we will definitely be booking with her again in the future!

Dawn is an animal lover with three dogs of her own. We had not left our 2 cats and our dog with a sitter for more than 2 days before. Dawn made us totally comfortable with great communication and timely visits. Our fur babies seemed to love her. Highly recommend!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Simpsonville. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
