“Jared was amazing and made our first experience using Rover great! Highly recommended for drop-in visits with cats. He went above and beyond for our 4 cats, making sure litter was scooped, bowls were filled, and medicine was given. I think they might like him more than us now!”

“Shannon was amazing! She watched our golden retriever, Winston, while we were out of town for several days. We asked her to drop in 3 times a day, spread out over 7-8 hours. She was on time for every drop-in and maximized the 30 minutes with him. She played ball with him, gave him cuddles, took him on walks, etc. She even found activities to do with him when it was raining. We received consistent updates on how he was doing, as well as pictures. She gave us such peace of mind, and we are so grateful for that. We would definitely use her again in the future and will be recommending her to friends.”

“Brianne did a wonderful job taking care of my Daisy cat, as well as my hummingbirds! Felt very comfortable with Brianne & it was nice to not have to worry while I was away.”

“Thank you very much for your hard work! Did as instructed. Took very good care of my dogs and helped my cat Jiji back inside. Uploaded pictures to help me make the little ones were ok. Communication was great.”

“Diana is wonderful! She went above and beyond when she took care of our dog over the Thanksgiving holiday. She was punctual, thoughtful, and gave him so much love and affection! I really liked how she sent us pictures of him while we were away. I will 100% use Diana’s services again and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter!”

“Sarah was fabulous! I needed her last minute and she was more than willing! She kept me posted on every walk and I didn’t have worry about Marley at all! I would recommend her for any of your pet needs! Thanks Sarah!!”

About: I’ve always had at least one pet within my household; I currently two shihtzu’s, one chihuahua x pug mix, and one great dane, as well as a siamese cat and ball python snake! I love caring for my pets, and I’d love to help you guys feel at ease that your pet is safe and happy while you’re out and about! I’m finishing up my Senior year of high school, and I only have two class blocks, so I’m unable to help out in the mornings on school days. Additionally, I do have a scheduled job, so based off of what time I’d need to be at work on what given day would determine factors too - just be sure to ask me in advance! Dogs: I make sure they have good healthy food, eat in the morning and eat at night , for my smaller dogs i feed them in the afternoon as well. Let them out multiple times a day, routinely morning and night. Cats: Feed every morning and night, let her go outside for the afternoon to get some outside time, and make sure she’s back by dark to sleep in the house.
About: I’ve been taking care of animals for four years now, I began in my own neighborhood, and then ventured out to helping others in need of animal care. I love it and I am extremely flexible when it comes to caring for your pets! I currently work very early mornings at my job, which leads me to be out around noon. I am available everyday, and love snuggling, playing, and walks with any furry friend! I care for your pets in the way that best suits your needs. I typically will cater differently to everyone, some animals are older and don’t want to go on walks, some need to burn energy all day long! It’s completely up to you how your animal is cared for.
“Took such great care of my elderly dogs and my cat that was not included in the booking when she saw she had eaten all of her food. Great communication and very professionally. Will definitely be using again. Thank you so much 💛”

About: I’m just getting started but I have had pets my whole life. I regularly dog sit for my friends and have a crazy kitten of my own. I work full time Monday through Thursday from 8am-4pm but I have plenty of time to check in on your pets mornings, evenings and weekends! I’m happy to feed, walk, and play with your pets, as well as cleaning litter boxes and giving medicines when needed. For boarding, I have a 1 year old kitten at home who loves to play with other animals and a 3bedroom house with plenty of space to keep them separated if need be.

About: Animals have always been a core part of my life, ever since growing up visiting my grandfather’s farm! I started pet sitting part-time at the age of 16 where I've taken care of family and friends pets over the years, such as my grandfather's Pomeranian named Trini, my cousin's husky Kirra, and my friend’s cat Luna! At one point, I had taken care of three cats and one dog all at once! My love for dogs began with my family’s mini poodle named Sassy! 🐩❤️ She unfortunately suffered with infections frequently where she lost her eye but that didn’t stop her from living a long and healthy life! After Sassy passed, my family looked into getting another pet and that’s where we found Bear, a long-haired tuxedo cat! I’ve fallen in love with cats ever since! ❤️🐈⬛ I am comfortable with doing about anything you may need, such as brushing, walking, feeding, playing, clean up, etc! I am comfortable with taking care of pets from any age, especially with my past experience of raising my cat and taking care of my dog when she faced health issues. I am currently a junior at Virginia Tech where I'm studying psychology! My schedule is very flexible this summer where I am available for walks, drop-ins, stays, or anything your pet may need! Whether you need a sitter to just drop in to give your pet some love or one to be very attentive to your pet's needs for a couple of days, I can help out with any and everything! 😁 With being home from college, I have a fairly free schedule when it comes to taking care of pets, whether that’s a friend’s or my own. I can build my schedule around your needs! My family has trained my cat to be very low maintenance, where he never scratches or hisses when meeting new people. I always make sure to give him some attention at any point I can get. I will provide your pet with anything they may need. I love to give cuddles and attention!

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and cats and have experience caring for pets for friends, family, and neighbors. I’m patient, dependable, and love making pets feel comfortable and safe while their owners are away. I can help with feeding, walks, playtime, litter box cleaning, giving lots of attention, and sticking to your pet’s normal routine. I’m comfortable with both energetic pets and more laid-back or senior animals, and I’ll always make sure your pets are cared for like they’re my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I’m able to make time for feeding, walks, playtime, cleaning up after pets, and giving them attention throughout the day. I’m organized, dependable, and comfortable adjusting my schedule to make sure pets stay on their normal routine and feel cared for while their owners are away. I have a part time job so my availability will be customized just to you and your pet! I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for by following their normal routine as closely as possible. In a client’s home, I keep their pets fed, hydrated, active, and given plenty of attention and affection. I can help with walks, playtime, litter box cleaning, potty breaks, and keeping the space clean and calm. I also make sure to follow any special instructions the owner provides, including medications, feeding schedules, or specific routines, so pets stay happy and stress-free while their owner is away.
“Justine was wonderful with my fur babies and very thorough! She was able to get my shyest cat to play and that says a lot about her. I appreciate the time and effort she spent with my boys and I will continue to trust her with them in the future!”

“Holly did great! Very attentive to detail, helped give medicine, and hid treats for the cats to find. Cleaned up a mess from the cats. Communication was great and setting up care was very easy.”

“Angela was fantastic! She took great care of our dog and 3 cats at our home and we got detailed updates & pictures on how they were doing. We will definitely rebook in the future!”
About: I used to work at daycare with all kinds of dogs and cats including seniors. I have a big passion for animals and know how to administer medication if needed. I’ve helped out family and friends with their pets including feeding, potty breaks, playing outside with them, etc. I used to work part-time at doggy daycare but now at Food Lion, so I can spend time with your furbabies. I’m also in school for vet tech but I make time for the babies always! For clients, I usually stick to schedule with their feeding, potty breaks, etc. I like to keep their food and water bowls clean every time to prevent them from being sick. I take them outside for potty breaks and play with for about 30-40 minutes unless it’s too hot or cold. I also like to keep the owner updated on how their pets are doing and send pictures.
“Mason checked in on our cat Murray once each day, which was great peace of mind for us so we could enjoy our daughter's wedding week. We'll definitely reserve Mason for our next trip!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fountain Inn. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
