“We had a great experience Carrington! It was obvious that my pup was getting plenty of attention, exercise, and affection from her. I also appreciated the photo updates she sent throughout the day. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

“Andre and her family did a fantastic job caring for our mini bernedoodle! Andre was prompt with all communication and scheduling was easy. Her home is welcoming and Biscotti really enjoyed playing with their sweet lab and snuggling her kids. We could tell Biscotti was well-cared for when we brought her back home- she was calm and happy and jumped right back into our family routines- like she had a great vacation too! Thanks, Andre and fam! We’ll definitely book with Andre again.”

“Fabienne was fantastic with my Ginny girl! She sent lots of updates and pictures so I could follow along. Very good communication and she is very sweet and caring. Will definitely use again!!”

“Julie has been one of our favorite Rover hosts! She was quick to communicate and provided lots of updates. We have a sweet, high-energy Boston terrier, and Julie made sure to exercise and love her well. We were happy our pup was welcomed into the family while we were out of town for the holidays. We will be booking again in the future!”

“Jonathan is fantastic. My two knuckleheads have spent time at Jonathan’s on two separate occasions. He takes care of them like they’re his own, and truly cares about them. I am 100% going to continue using him for my dog sitting needs.”

“I’m so grateful for Christina and Ricky. My pet is treated with so much love and attention—just like family! I received updates and photos, and came home to a happy, relaxed dog. I would absolutely book them again because when I’m on vacation, so is my baby!”

“My family and I were going away for an extended period of time and needed a sitter for our doggy while we were away. I checked out some Rover options and decided on a sitter and she quickly accepted my request. I went to her house to visit prior to leaving my dog with her, and she and her husband were very welcoming opening their home to me to show me where my doggy would be housed for the extended period of time. That made me feel very comfortable leaving her there under their care in that as most of you know, our doggies are like our children and that’s most definitely the way we feel about our dog. Mary and her husband took great care of our dog while we were out of town. She sent lots of pictures and I could tell that she was being loved and that she was comfortable and happy throughout the stay which made me feel very good and at ease during our trip, Thank you Mary for taking such great care of our dog, and I would highly recommend her to other dog owners looking for someone that is compassionate about dogs snd has a beautiful home that is very well suited for pets to be really comfortable and safe.”

“Kelly took such great care of my dog. My dog has a lot of allergies and requires special food and treats and supplements and she was very accommodating to those. She also sent updates and videos while I was away which put me at ease knowing how well my dog was being cared for. Kelly was able very flexible and allowed me to pick up my pet late due to delays which I was grateful for.”

“Karen and Lucas were great with my pups! They spent a lot of time together, went on walks, and roamed the yard throughout the day getting plenty of time to be out and about or just chill and get scratches. She sent lots of pictures while I was away, and the pups came home happy!”

About: I have cared for many dogs throughout childhood into adulthood. I decided to start offering my services as our golden retriever passed away almost a year ago. This reminded me of how much joy and comfort dogs bring into our lives and how important it is to make sure they feel that same love and care in return! I work M-F 8am to 5pm but my Friday night, Saturday and Sundays are open to dog sitting! I love going on neighborhood walks and hikes and would love for your dog to join me. I have a fenced in back yard and do not have any other pets, so your pup can run around and sniff in the yard as much as they want.
“This was our first experience with Rover and we were so lucky to have found Amber! She was so easy to communicate with, she sent frequent updates, and worked with us on pick-up drop-off times (we booked with Rover before our travel plans were concrete). Georgie must have played all week, he slept the whole day while we were able to unpack. We HIGHLY recommend Amber! She was fantastic with our Georgie and we will definitely use her again.”

“Wendy and her family were amazing. They treated my girl like their own. My girl is very finicky with eating and she ate everyday while in her care. I received photos and updates everyday. Very very pleased and will use her again. Highly recommend.”

“We felt Izzy was in good hands with McKenzie. We love the pictures McKenzie shared with us. We will definitely leave Izzy with her again! We are so happy we found her. Izzy was right at home.”

“Abby and Dustin were such caring and obvious pet lovers from the very first interaction! They asked thoughtful questions and made sure they understood all of our dog’s needs and her routines. They updated me frequently with pictures of my dog having the best time! I felt totally confident in their ability to care for her and provide her with a safe and loving home away from home. We will definitely be back! It was an overall awesome experience, and I highly recommend them.”

About: Hi! I have always been a pet mama - dogs and cats & helped care for my friend’s babies as they travel. I am now opening my home and heart to your babies as well! I have a happy little (insta famous) pug who loves to make new friends! I am working part time, but there will most of the time be someone home to care for your baby as needed. We have great neighborhood for walks and luscious sniffing spots. I have a private backyard, easy for a quick bathroom breaks and a great neighborhood for longer walks. I am happy to crate your dog or let it sleep on the couch, whatever they are used to!

“Courtney was friendly and communicative throughout the whole stay. She sent daily updates and photos, which I loved, and always responded quickly whenever I reached out. I’d definitely book with her again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter. Murphy was so happy when I picked her up - you could tell she was well cared for!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Fountain Inn
We very rarely board our little guy, Rocky, but we're so glad we found Ashtan to take care of him! After our initial meet and greet, we immediately booked Rocky for a second 3 day stay. We could tell she took good care of him and gave him plenty of TLC. She sent pictures and status updates even though we didn't (initially) ask her to. I really doubt you could find a more responsible and friendly sitter in Greenville county.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
