“Garrett was great!! Needed a last minute sitter and he was available!! Was very attentive to my dog, sent multiple pictures without me needing to ask. House was very clean. I haven’t had the best experiences on Rover, however after this booking I definitely will book with him again and become a repeat client!!”

“Not only was Mason awesome with Max he was a lifesaver! He was very flexible with our last minute request and made us and Max feel very much at ease. I am so glad we met Mason and will definitely like to use Him in the future. Max was very comfortable with him, therefore made our trip that much better.”

“Carrington took good care of our dog. She consistently sent photos and updates on his status. She made us feel comfortable leaving our dog in her care and was so enthusiastic in her time caring for our dog. Would absolutely use her again and recommend her to others!”

“Andre and her family did a fantastic job caring for our mini bernedoodle! Andre was prompt with all communication and scheduling was easy. Her home is welcoming and Biscotti really enjoyed playing with their sweet lab and snuggling her kids. We could tell Biscotti was well-cared for when we brought her back home- she was calm and happy and jumped right back into our family routines- like she had a great vacation too! Thanks, Andre and fam! We’ll definitely book with Andre again.”

“Becca was wonderful with our dog, Deacon. She knew I was worried about leaving him with someone new and she kept me updated with pictures on how he was doing. I’m sure he will miss all the attention.”

“We used Wendy to watch our dog Max for the second time last week. She sends pictures every day and I know from her comments that he is well taken care of. She says her girls love him and I won’t hesitate to use her and her family again!”

“Lindsay was incredible! I received so many pics and updates of Max during his stay- it looked like he had a better vacation than I did! He was so well cared for, and we will definitely be repeat customers!”

“Rachel and her husband Graham are fantastic! I was a nervous dog mom leaving my pup who needs twice a day meds. They were super communicative about giving him his meds throughout the week and sent lots of videos, pictures, and updates so I knew he was relaxed and having a good time. Shadow gets along great with their dog Dax and we look forward to more future playdates with him and the other visitors.”

About: I have cared for many dogs throughout childhood into adulthood. I decided to start offering my services as our golden retriever passed away almost a year ago. This reminded me of how much joy and comfort dogs bring into our lives and how important it is to make sure they feel that same love and care in return! I work M-F 8am to 5pm but my Friday night, Saturday and Sundays are open to dog sitting! I love going on neighborhood walks and hikes and would love for your dog to join me. I have a fenced in back yard and do not have any other pets, so your pup can run around and sniff in the yard as much as they want.
“Jonathan was amazing with Toby! I had a last minute cancel with a Rover sitter and I was worried about finding someone trustworthy last minute. Jonathan’s reviews speak for themself! He was great with my very anxious dog, sent lots of video and picture updates, and always quick to answer any messages. Toby came home happy and exhausted from all the playing! Jonathan will be our Rover sitter of choice moving forward. Thank you for loving Toby for us Jonathan!”

“It was our first time having Buddy stay with Emily and we were very happy with our decision to do so. She kept us informed on how he was doing through pictures and texts. Emily and her family treated him like one of the family, and he appeared very content and relaxed in the pictures. I would not hesitate to have Buddy stay with Emily and her family again.”

“Maverick enjoyed his weeklong stay with Sarah. He played with her animals and she treated him like we do at home, sleeping with her and giving lots of love and cuddles. We definitely will use Sarah again!!! She also send pictures to us.”

“Mary is a wonderful sitter and I would highly recommend her! She was very communicative during the booking process and during the stay and provided frequent updates during boarding. She made sure to ask questions during the booking process to ensure that she was providing the best care possible.”

“Christina was amazing and sent pictures daily of my pup, Maple 🍁 during her stay. Communication was easy and would definitely recommend her for your dog sitting needs! 🐶”

“This is the second time I have left my dogs with Kristen and once again she was wonderful! She sent some great pictures and most importantly my babies came home happy and healthy! Will continue to book with Kristen whenever I’m able”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Fountain Inn
We very rarely board our little guy, Rocky, but we're so glad we found Ashtan to take care of him! After our initial meet and greet, we immediately booked Rocky for a second 3 day stay. We could tell she took good care of him and gave him plenty of TLC. She sent pictures and status updates even though we didn't (initially) ask her to. I really doubt you could find a more responsible and friendly sitter in Greenville county.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
