“Sesaria made our first Rover experience a breeze! She went WAY above and beyond each time she visited our kitty. We had a few issues with automatic feeders and other gadgets during our booking, she took care of every issue and made certain our cat had everything he needed before she left each time. She then always made sure to devote extra time just to hanging out and giving him a chance to interact with her. Communication was great the whole time too! We will certainly be booking with her again! Thank you for everything Ses!”

“Morgan is so kind and so good to us and our pups. We have had quite a few special instructions and she takes such special care in every single visit. Will always rebook when she’s available!”

“Valissa was able to handle our request at the very last minute when my family was unable to come to our home. She took care of everything on our list and sent multiple snapshots for us. She was extremely responsive. My mind was put to ease when my cats did not hide under the bed while she visited. Thank you, Valissa!”

“Gioia was fantastic dropping in to care for our dog while we were traveling for several days during the holidays. She sent detailed updates, gave him super attentive care, and was easy to communicate/coordinate with. I think our dog will miss his new buddy!”

About: I have had pets and cared for friends and family members pets for most of my life. As a personal trainer, I have not only human clients but also many furry friends who I interact with daily and have started caring for when my clients are away. In addition, I have a senior, reactive dog who requires special attention, training and lots of love. I work as an in home personal trainer but can create my own schedule and adjust for last minute requests. Weekends are also generally open for pet sitting. I would not be able to offer care at my home since my senior dog is happier solo however, I am very comfortable providing all needed care and adherence to a routine in a client’s home.
“Jennifer did a wonderful job with Otis. This was our longest trip leaving him for ten days. She was very attentive to all his needs and came twice a day to feed him, water him and check out his overall wellbeing. Towards the end of our trip, Otis played around the pool to hard one day and burned his paws. Jennifer notified me and went and got paw wax and administered it to his feet to comfort him. What a great sitter. I will definitely be booking her again and highly recommend her to anyone. Thank you so much for taking care of Otis.”

“Jessica was on time and did well to manage my squad of four dogs. I felt so much better having her check in on them twice a day while I was out of town. She sent precious pictures and even brought us by in my packages off the porch! My senior dog had an accident and she was kind enough to clean that up. 10/10 would book again.”

“Elizabeth was a great sitter for our senior cat with special needs! She went above and beyond to help us make sure our sweet boy was comfortable and cared for. We’re excited to use her again in the future!”

“Amelia & Daniel took such good care of my baby boys throughout our trip! Perfect communication and my cats loved them and were less stressed when we came home.”

“Natalie was so sweet with our cat Moo while we were away! The photos, the updates, and the love she showed Moo, were so grateful. She was punctual, trustworthy, and kind. Would highly recommend. I know Moo will miss her 🙂”

“Aubrey is always reliable, clean, and kind! She takes care of my 3 kitties and I feel so much better leaving for a trip knowing she will be there to feed & check on them.”

“Miriam was very accommodating on such a short notice. She was so sweet and our dog, Cooper, warmed up to her quite easily. We will definitely book her services again.”

“Adriana did great with my cat Virginia! Ginny can sometimes be a little antisocial and doesn’t really like people that are new but she loved Adriana. It really helped with the stress of being away knowing that my baby was well looked after and stress free at home!”

About: I have been taking care of all different types and sizes of dogs as well as cats for almost 8 years now. I used to work for a dog daycare and boarding facility for 4 years and in the last 4 years I have been working solo to really help families with their fur babies. I have 3 kitties at home and grew up with dogs my entire life. Since I don’t have a dog of my own currently I truly love caring for others pets and treating your fur babies as if they were mine. I’m currently taking the summer off to explore the area, I just moved here so I would love to get to know the area and get to know your pets and I have more than enough time to take care of them so they forget you even left. I treat your place and your pets as if they are my own, I’m a very clean individual and take respect to another level in someone else’s space. I have looked after many clients homes, and have found nearly all clients return even for a one time service (vacation, business trips, etc).

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Five Forks
Julie did a great job checking in on my cats while we were away. They can be shy and she managed to make friends with them both. They were well fed and happy when I returned home instead of being stressed like they are when I board them at the vet. Highly recommend Julie to take care of your kitties!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
