“I couldn’t have asked for better service. Sesaria was very professional and friendly. I felt at ease from the moment I met her. I will certainly be asking for her in the future. If she is reflective of your company culture, you certainly have a winning program. Thank you Sesaria”

“Our dog loved Diana from the first time he met her. She played with him, reported all of his activities, took great pics, and came on time. We will be booking her again soon!”

“Gioia was awesome!! She gave us detailed updates on our pets while we were gone and was there exactly when we needed her. I will recommend her to our friends to watch their fur babies and we will for sure use her again in the future!”

“Pam is absolutely amazing! She took care of our cats for a very long 10 days. Normally we would have been very nervous about leaving for so long but Pam was so sweet and communicative that we knew they were in good hands! We got pictures every single day and our cats seemed very happy with her. We will definitely use Pam again!”

About: I’ve always been a huge dog lover and grew up with family dogs! Over the years, I’ve cared for friends’, neighbors’, and clients’ pups, including walks, feeding, playtime, overnight stays, baths, and administering medication. I have a pup of my own too, so I know how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your dog. I’ll make sure they get lots of love, attention, walks, and cuddles while you’re away! I work full time remote job, and am more than happy to swing by before, during or after work to help out when it’s needed! I do have my own dog who is super friendly and loves to play! She is a beagle mix, so she loves her sniff walks and going to the neighborhood dog park to get her zoomies out.

About: Former dog mamma of 2 (15+ years), and 5-time rescue cat mamma! Around town, you might see me whispering “I love you” to dogs as they’re being walked or wearing my cat backpack with one of my 4 cats in it! Prepare for lots of pics of your sweet one when we’re together 🍄 Freelancer here, so I move my scheduled based on you! I worked between 10:30 and 5pm, but can be flex if your sweet one has additional needs. I match your animal’s energy. Sometimes animals need a calmer disposition and sometimes they need to get a whole lot of energy out — both of which I’m *always* eager to help them with. 💕 As a cat mom, I have 2 cats with a TON of energy and 2 with severe anxiety, so I’m always ebbing and flowing to keep the peace for all of them!

“Aubrey was great! She checked on my kitties every day while we were out of town. She kept them happy & provided pictures of each visit. The kitty areas were clean and everyone was happy when we got back!”

“Amelia & Daniel took such good care of my baby boys throughout our trip! Perfect communication and my cats loved them and were less stressed when we came home.”

“Stacie was great about communicating about my pets. I appreciated how passionate she was about keeping my dog exercised while also keeping an eye on the heat. She was great about sending pictures and videos too! Highly recommend!”

“Elizabeth was a great sitter for our senior cat with special needs! She went above and beyond to help us make sure our sweet boy was comfortable and cared for. We’re excited to use her again in the future!”

About: Love pets more than people 🤣 lol Seriously tho, your pets will get all the love they want! I’ve had cats and dogs my whole life! Cats are by far my fave, but dogs are a close second! Other species will need to be discussed on a case by case basis 🤪 My days are relatively open, so whether you need someone to just check in on your pet, take them out for a potty break, take them on a walk, or even hang out for a few hours, I can probably help 🙂 I’m happy to play games with your pets (or not, if that’s what your pet prefers 😆). I’m also open to boarding - either in my home or yours. I’m open to administering oral meds as needed. I am self employed and therefore able to cater to specific schedules for potty breaks and/or medication as needed. If your pet likes company, I’m happy to hang out with them for awhile. Whether you just need me to stop by your home to check in on your pets or feed and water them, or if you’re away on vacation, I’m happy to help 😊
“Catherine was excellent! Very communicative and sent pics of all the completed tasks. Was always on time and always stays the full 30 minutes. I would definitely recommend and use her again.”

“First time using AJ and she was awesome!! She communicated well with me the whole time I was away and even checked in to ensure my return date was correct so Maddox would be cared for. Your pet is in safe hands with AJ.”

“Fantastic job. Communicative and kind, sent great pictures of my cat. Even went above and beyond to help me with some other tasks that came up while I was gone.”

“We trusted Keery with our home and little cat while we were abroad and she was really great. She was responsable and very gentle with our cat as the little fur ball has some trust issues with humans xD she kept us updated with pictures and videos and we felt assured while we were not home. Thanks Keery :)”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 14. I’ve helped out my neighbors, friends, and family multiple times. I would walk, feed and water, give medicine as instructed, and play with their pets! My most recent family I have helped and have been with for a few years now have 5 dogs. They range from puppy to senior dogs and small shih tzus to boxer and german shepherd! Also have a cute little Gecko I got to feed! Another family I’ve helped had a dog and a cat. This dog I had to give medicine to at night after eating his dinner. I have a wide variety of different sizes and ages I’ve worked with and have loved each and every one! I work Monday–Thursday from 8 AM–3 PM and Fridays from 8 AM–12 PM, so I’m available before and after work for pet care and can provide plenty of attention outside of those hours. I am free all day on the weekend! I’m also happy to communicate with owners throughout the stay and send updates and photos so they know their pets are safe and happy. I always prioritize the safety, comfort, and well-being of every pet in my care. I follow each pet’s normal routine, including feeding, medications if needed, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. I make sure pets are in a safe and clean environment and follow any specific instructions provided by their owners.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Five Forks
Julie did a great job checking in on my cats while we were away. They can be shy and she managed to make friends with them both. They were well fed and happy when I returned home instead of being stressed like they are when I board them at the vet. Highly recommend Julie to take care of your kitties!!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Five Forks. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
