“I highly recommend! My dog is always so happy every time he goes there. They are incredibly caring and responsible. I always feel at ease knowing my pup is in such good hands!”

About: I am ready to provide your dog with the love, care, and attention they deserve. I am a low volume sitter usually only caring for one family at a time in my home. I have a 2 yr old dachshund who loves to play. I have a big fenced in back yard. I am a stay at home mom to two kids who are 6 and 11 so your dog must be good with kids. Caring for our furry guests is something the whole family takes part in. Rest assured that I offer a secure and cozy setting for your dog. While in my care, I will do my best to replicate what your dog is used to at home but I do not allow dogs to sleep in my bed as I wouldn’t be able to sleep myself.
“Darla loved Julia, who matched playmates in size and temperament for her. When I picked her up, she was excited to see me of course but instead of making for the door to come home, she turned around to face Julia, wagging her tail. Julia is excellent.”

“Cristina is very sweet and you can tell she really loves dogs. We had a small language barrier but we were so glad to find her on short notice! Thank you for taking great care of our babies Cristina!”

“I was nervous to leave my puppy with a sitter for the first time but Aneisy and her family were great! My pup came home happy and clearly well taken care of. And Aneisy made me feel at ease and communicated very well. I will happily book again in the near future.”

About: I had 3 different Lab Retrievers from pups to their senior years in my early teens to late 20s. I have a 2 yr old German Shepherd now. I work from home so he gets plenty of love and attention. As your dog stays with me they will get the same level of care as my 4 legged family members. We start everyday with his favorite fetch games to get some energy out. Once he calms down he gets breakfast, a short walk, then a long nap on one of his many beds around the house or a doormat. During each day he gets more fetch, structured play, and training, all followed by short naps. I have a small fenced in yard with plenty of fields for play and sidewalks to walk around my house. My dog's days are structured to keep him happy and healthy. I make sure his meals are scheduled so he isn't at risk for bloat (GDV).
“Lindsay took excellent care of our pup. She has a quiet, welcoming home with lots of indoor space as well as a backyard with a fence and lots of room to explore. She was attentive to our dogs needs regarding feeding and medication, and provided us with regular updates and plenty of pictures, making us feel at-ease with leaving our timid rescue pitty in her care for the afternoon.”

About: My husband and I are empty nesters with lots of love and attention to give. We have been traveling a lot so have been on break from Rover but back for the next 6 months or so! I work from home and my husband is retired so we are both available to care for and love on your sweet baby! We love animals but don’t want the full time commitment at this stage in our lives We own our home and have a great yard. It’s not fenced in but are in a quiet neighborhood and go for many walks around the neighborhood. With my husband retire and I work from home we can give fulltime love and attention to your 4 legged baby! We look forward to meeting you! Most dogs are given free range of the house although some exceptions may apply. We talk walks every 3-4 hours and always have fresh water available.
“Dorothy & Thomas took care of our 3 cavaliers and it went well. Our pups enjoyed their space outside with the large fenced in backyard and also enjoyed hanging out with their dog Pepper. Pepper was friendly and sweet with our little ones. Thank you!”
About: I have 8 years' experience dog sitting for others, and over 10 years' of personal experience caring for my own dogs. Currently, I have a 3yo Bernedoodle named Margot and 5mo Australian Shepherd/Plott mix named Mack. I’ve cared for dogs that are mini-extra large in size and various breeds. In my free time I ride horses and like to stay active! I work fully remote which allows me to accommodate your pets needs! My dogs are extremely friendly which allows me to open my home to other friendly pups for boarding or daycare. I have experience pet sitting and walking dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds. I care for pets as if they’re my own! Lots of snuggles, snacks (if allowed), and play time. For walks I ensure we take safe routes and follow pet parents instructions.
“Jonathan was great. He was informative & kind. We are first time pup parents & he made leaving her for a few hours very reassuring. Will definitely continue using in the future. Thank you!”

About: I have experience with taking care of all dogs, medical needs, young at hearts and old souls alike. I have one large love that was a rescue. I have been a foster for dogs for quite some time. Every dog that has entered my home has been loved and cared for as if they were my own pups. I currently work from home which allows me to have time to supervise and interact with your pet all day. I am able to let dogs out to play or use the bathroom at least every hour if needed. I have a 6ft fence that surrounds my backyard to ensure that your dog stays safe at my home. In my house, your dog will have the ability to roam freely. My dogs are allowed on the furniture, so if that is something you are okay with, your dog will be allowed too. I do have an extra large wire crate that I used with my dogs when they were young, so you will not need to provide a crate if your dog requires that. If your dog does not use a crate, that is fine too. Charlie is a 100lb mix that is very friendly. He will play with other dogs if that is what they want and he will also lay and be very relaxed.
“Thank you so much for caring for my little Chase. The pictures were awesome. Every morning, he waggle and waggle with joy as he joined you and his fur friends for the day.”

About: I have experience with many breeds and ages. I come from a long line of dog lovers and currently have 4 fur babies myself. I have been a dog sitter for many friends and family and look forward to assisting with your pet care needs! I work from home part time for a local real estate business. Due to this my schedule is pretty flexible and I can accommodate most schedules I would be able to come over feed and water and let out to potty or take your pet for a walk and give them lots of cuddles and attention.

About: I have years of dog-care experience, including working at a pet resort, administering medications, training, owning, and fostering pregnant and nursing cats and kittens. I absolutely love training, so if you have a skill or command you want your dog practiced or taught, I can do training while you're away. Have experience with animal behavior. Love walking dogs of all sizes. I have administered oral medications for dogs that don't like it. Willing to do light grooming (bathing, brushing, ear cleaning, nail dremmel for those who are trained for grooming). Having a high energy puppy, I’m accustomed to being out doing heavy exercise around 2 hours a day plus lower intensity walks as needed. For older or lower intensity dogs who just want to snuggle they can have very opportunity to do so! I like to keep dogs leashed for safety and have heavy duty long lines to allow them to run and chase or sniff at will. Able to do a variety of enrichment games and puzzles to get their brains working and tired.

“Tucker had a blast! She sent pics and texts regularly to keep me updated with how things were going and I really appreciated that! Tucker felt really comfortable and was well taken care of! Thanks so much!”

About: Hi! My name is Demi and my dogs’ names are Cooper and Chloe We are just getting started on Rover and are so excited to meet your pup! About me: I have always been a dog lover. I grew up around many types of dogs and helped care for them. Cooper is my first dog outside of family dogs. I adopted him in 2017 and trained him on my own. I adopted Chloe in August and she is the most precious pup. I have a large yard and a spare bedroom dedicated to dogs so your dog will be cozy and get plenty of exercise. If your dog requires long walks, I live in a neighborhood that has plenty of routes for that. There is also a nearby park that I often take my dogs for walks. I work full time but have the ability to come home as needed. I also have a pet camera set up in the dog bedroom so if I have to step out I will have the ability to monitor your dog. Your pup is safe with us! About Cooper: Cooper is a 5 year old medium sized lab/collie mix. I got him when he was around 1 year old. He’s a rescue out of Ohio. He is fixed. He is excellent with other dogs and is very friendly. He enjoys having friends over at every opportunity. About Chloe: Chloe is a one year old pup. I believe she is a small Shepard mix. I’m not totally sure. She’s about 30 lbs and is fixed as well. She’s great with other dogs and is learning with Cooper. I work full time Monday through Friday. I have the ability to come home from work if need be. If your pup needs to go out throughout the day, just let me know and I can make it work. I have a large privacy fenced back yard and two pups. I have a room dedicated to the dogs. I have crates available if need be. Your pup will have loads of fun and be safe with us. Whatever your pups needs are, we can accommodate.
About: Fur babies are a passion in my household! ❤️🐾 I recently relocated to the area and am excited to build a new community of furry friends and wonderful families. While I may be new to the neighborhood, I’m certainly not new to pet care! I spent five years working as the Executive Assistant at a local animal shelter, where I worked alongside dogs and cats every day. Not only did I do the usual doggie care dance (you know, the poop scooping and whatnot 😄), but I also had the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with some wonderful trainers who taught me valuable basic training skills. Over the years, I cared for dogs of all shapes, sizes, personalities, and backgrounds—from severely abused animals learning to trust again to beloved family pets. After leaving the shelter more than six years ago, I continued doing what I love through pet sitting. At our previous home, we built an amazing group of regular clients, including daily doggie daycare pups and frequent boarding guests who became part of the family. I work from home, which allows me to provide plenty of supervision, companionship, and cuddles throughout the day. Although we don’t currently have a dog of our own, we lost our sweet Nova last summer and miss having four paws around the house. Our home is full of love, and caring for other people’s pets is one of the ways we get to share it. While we don’t have a fenced yard, we have no shortage of opportunities for exercise and fun! Our neighborhood has a fenced dog park, walking trails, and another dog park just across the road, so there are plenty of options for walks, playtime, and sniffing adventures. I’m excited to put down roots here and build lasting relationships with local pet parents. Whether your pup needs daycare, boarding, walks, or just some extra love while you’re away, I’d be honored to care for them like one of my own. I can’t wait to meet your babies! 🐶🐱💕 Pet care fits into our daily routine easily. I work from home 99% of the time. It’s so nice to bring in your fur babies. We enjoy them so much! They really add to our days. We offer walks, basic training, and of course loads of love to the pets in our care 🩷 we also are able to tend to medical needs if needed

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
