“Julia is amazing! Super flexible and communicative. Franklin was so excited to see her everyday, it’s so nice to know your dog is in good hands! I would recommend her to anyone I know!”

“Abbey hung out with little guy while I took a field trip to Charlotte. What a relief to not have to worry about my senior pup when I have to travel for hours or over a week! What a relief! Definitely on speed dial when I need a grind for 2#!”

About: I have a companion of my own, tenji, and I use to have a beautiful pitty, so I understand how hard it may be to find a trustworthy pet sitters who will take good care of your furry friends. But have trust in me and my little home to look after your furry buddies while you work, go to important meetings or spend the day to yourself, either or, so I hope to see new faces! I currently working part time, but my boyfriend, who has experience in rover as well, will be home, when I’m not around, as he works morning and I work nights, a perfect balance to make sure your friends aren’t alone day and night. When it comes to having a new introductions I would separate or cage them and allow them to get to know each other and get use to each others presences, I had no issues in the past doing so and it leaves dogs who have not socialized before, leave with new friends and a busy day of playing

About: My name is Manuela (Ela for short). I have experience working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities, and I truly love what I do. I treat every dog like one of my own, making sure they are safe, happy, and comfortable while in my care. I live with my mom and sister, and we all love dogs and helping care for them. Because we want every dog to get plenty of attention and a calm environment, we only board one dog at a time (we may be able to do 2+ but only from the same household. Text me to discuss it) I work at the county animal shelter four days a week, so I have experience handling dogs of different breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’m comfortable working with shy, energetic, or nervous dogs, and I also have experience giving medications when needed. On the days I am not home, my mom or sister are usually at the house helping care for the dog. If there is ever a time when no one is home, the dog will be safely crated. At night, dogs can stay in my room with me, or if they are crate trained we will continue the routine and training they already follow at home. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they are away from you. We do our best to keep their routine as close as possible to what they are used to at home. Pet care fits easily into my weekly routine. I’m happy to coordinate with you and adjust my schedule when possible to make sure your pet gets the care they need. On the three days I work during the week, my mom or sister will be home to care for the pets, so there’s always someone available. Just reach out and let’s chat, I’ll do my best to make it work! I offer safe, reliable, and affectionate care that’s tailored to your dog’s routine, because I know how important it is to find someone who treats your pets like family. I’m here to support you and your pet’s unique needs.
“My pups had a great time at Rebecca’s. Very secure home and back yard. I felt very comfortable leaving my pups in her care and they came home exhausted. Her two dogs are great and everyone got along just fine. Will certainly be booking again!”

“Winnie had a great time with Tiffany and David! They made the day so fun. And all the pictures were wonderful. I would not hesitate to have them watch her again and highly recommend their care!”

“Lindsay took excellent care of our pup. She has a quiet, welcoming home with lots of indoor space as well as a backyard with a fence and lots of room to explore. She was attentive to our dogs needs regarding feeding and medication, and provided us with regular updates and plenty of pictures, making us feel at-ease with leaving our timid rescue pitty in her care for the afternoon.”

“Cristina was able to accommodate us last minute to keep our doggie for the day. I got lots and lots of pictures as always and her family took such great care of LouLou for the day. Thank you Cristina.”

About: Growing up I had a dog named Toby and Kallie the cat! We’d be responsible for taking Toby on walks, feeding him, administering medication, and of course showing both of them major love and affection. My work schedule is very flexible so I’m able to adjust according to your pup’s needs. I work from home on occasion and would be happy to have some canine company in the house. I live in a pondside home in a safe suburban neighborhood. It’s a wooded area with all kinds of critters, much to explore! I’ll set up a bed with blankets in the sunroom for my doggie guests :)
About: I had 3 different Lab Retrievers from pups to their senior years in my early teens to late 20s. I have a 2 yr old German Shepherd now. I work from home so he gets plenty of love and attention. As your dog stays with me they will get the same level of care as my 4 legged family members. We start everyday with his favorite fetch games to get some energy out. Once he calms down he gets breakfast, a short walk, then a long nap on one of his many beds around the house or a doormat. During each day he gets more fetch, structured play, and training, all followed by short naps. I have a small fenced in yard with plenty of fields for play and sidewalks to walk around my house. My dog's days are structured to keep him happy and healthy. I make sure his meals are scheduled so he isn't at risk for bloat (GDV).
“Karson was amazing!!! So so thankful for him and his family for taking such great care of my pup. She was so happy and I got pictures during the visit which always makes me so happy :) thank you so so much Karson!! We will see you again soon!”

About: I am ready to provide your dog with the love, care, and attention they deserve. I am a low volume sitter usually only caring for one family at a time in my home. I have a 2 yr old dachshund who loves to play. I have a big fenced in back yard. I am a stay at home mom to two kids who are 6 and 11 so your dog must be good with kids. Caring for our furry guests is something the whole family takes part in. Rest assured that I offer a secure and cozy setting for your dog. While in my care, I will do my best to replicate what your dog is used to at home but I do not allow dogs to sleep in my bed as I wouldn’t be able to sleep myself.
About: So excited to meet your pup and give them the best time! I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life so much that I plan to open my own dog rescue in the future. Working at a dog shelter has also brought me continued experience to behavior, medical needs and more! I am a Mama and work remotely from home which gives me free time during the day to come take care of your pup or kitty. I respect and follow any rules or guidelines you may leave me while your pup is with us. I’ve been in your shoes many times and want to provide the best experience and trust for you and your pet.

About: I have experience with taking care of all dogs, medical needs, young at hearts and old souls alike. I have one large love that was a rescue. I have been a foster for dogs for quite some time. Every dog that has entered my home has been loved and cared for as if they were my own pups. I currently work from home which allows me to have time to supervise and interact with your pet all day. I am able to let dogs out to play or use the bathroom at least every hour if needed. I have a 6ft fence that surrounds my backyard to ensure that your dog stays safe at my home. In my house, your dog will have the ability to roam freely. My dogs are allowed on the furniture, so if that is something you are okay with, your dog will be allowed too. I do have an extra large wire crate that I used with my dogs when they were young, so you will not need to provide a crate if your dog requires that. If your dog does not use a crate, that is fine too. Charlie is a 100lb mix that is very friendly. He will play with other dogs if that is what they want and he will also lay and be very relaxed.
“I felt so confident leaving Sophia our Aussie with Jaylin and Charles today. They are knowledgeable and competent and made me feel at ease knowing that my dog was in good hands and that Jaylin & Charles would be able to resolve any issue that might come up. My dog was calm and happy when we brought her home and she seemed to be very comfortable with the care she received. My dog usually barks at anyone she hasn’t met before but she didn’t even bark at Jaylin at all!”

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
