âThe boys had a great day at Julia's for daycare! I got Great pictures and that had a wonderful time playing in her fenced in yard. Highly recommend if you're looking for a pet sitter!â

âLindsay took excellent care of our pup. She has a quiet, welcoming home with lots of indoor space as well as a backyard with a fence and lots of room to explore. She was attentive to our dogs needs regarding feeding and medication, and provided us with regular updates and plenty of pictures, making us feel at-ease with leaving our timid rescue pitty in her care for the afternoon.â

âCristina was great.. kept me updated the whole time on how he was doing and sent lots of pics. Loki had so much fun and she kept him busy! He was ready for a nap when he got home lol. He will definitely be going to back.â

About: I had 3 different Lab Retrievers from pups to their senior years in my early teens to late 20s. I have a 2 yr old German Shepherd now. I work from home so he gets plenty of love and attention. As your dog stays with me they will get the same level of care as my 4 legged family members. We start everyday with his favorite fetch games to get some energy out. Once he calms down he gets breakfast, a short walk, then a long nap on one of his many beds around the house or a doormat. During each day he gets more fetch, structured play, and training, all followed by short naps. I have a small fenced in yard with plenty of fields for play and sidewalks to walk around my house. My dog's days are structured to keep him happy and healthy. I make sure his meals are scheduled so he isn't at risk for bloat (GDV).
About: I am ready to provide your dog with the love, care, and attention they deserve. I am a low volume sitter usually only caring for one family at a time in my home. I have a 2 yr old dachshund who loves to play. I have a big fenced in back yard. I am a stay at home mom to two kids who are 6 and 11 so your dog must be good with kids. Caring for our furry guests is something the whole family takes part in. Rest assured that I offer a secure and cozy setting for your dog. While in my care, I will do my best to replicate what your dog is used to at home but I do not allow dogs to sleep in my bed as I wouldnât be able to sleep myself.

About: I have years of dog-care experience, including working at a pet resort, administering medications, training, owning, and fostering pregnant and nursing cats and kittens. I absolutely love training, so if you have a skill or command you want your dog practiced or taught, I can do training while you're away. Have experience with animal behavior. Love walking dogs of all sizes. I have administered oral medications for dogs that don't like it. Willing to do light grooming (bathing, brushing, ear cleaning, nail dremmel for those who are trained for grooming). Having a high energy puppy, Iâm accustomed to being out doing heavy exercise around 2 hours a day plus lower intensity walks as needed. For older or lower intensity dogs who just want to snuggle they can have very opportunity to do so! I like to keep dogs leashed for safety and have heavy duty long lines to allow them to run and chase or sniff at will. Able to do a variety of enrichment games and puzzles to get their brains working and tired.
âAbbey hung out with little guy while I took a field trip to Charlotte. What a relief to not have to worry about my senior pup when I have to travel for hours or over a week! What a relief! Definitely on speed dial when I need a grind for 2#!â

âRosemary is always a great sitter. Mollie and Daphnie were actually wining to get out of the car when we drove up to her house. We got caught up and were late getting back and she was very understanding. Lucky yo have her.â

âKatherine was great. She took such good care of Hank and sent pictures. She was very responsive and we felt very comfortable leaving Hank in her care. We'll definitely book again. Thanks Katherine!!â

About: Growing up I had a dog named Toby and Kallie the cat! Weâd be responsible for taking Toby on walks, feeding him, administering medication, and of course showing both of them major love and affection. My work schedule is very flexible so Iâm able to adjust according to your pupâs needs. I work from home on occasion and would be happy to have some canine company in the house. I live in a pondside home in a safe suburban neighborhood. Itâs a wooded area with all kinds of critters, much to explore! Iâll set up a bed with blankets in the sunroom for my doggie guests :)
âI highly recommend! My dog is always so happy every time he goes there. They are incredibly caring and responsible. I always feel at ease knowing my pup is in such good hands!â

âTiffany is so good with my little dog. She gives her all the attention she needs and just loves on her... and Winnie eats it up. This was my second time booking and I will continue to book with Tiffany and David as they are available. Highly recommend.â

âMy pups had a great time at Rebeccaâs. Very secure home and back yard. I felt very comfortable leaving my pups in her care and they came home exhausted. Her two dogs are great and everyone got along just fine. Will certainly be booking again!â

âGabrielle (and her family) was awesome! My dog clearly enjoyed himself and felt safe and comfortable during his stay. He had the perfect combination of tired energy by the end of it, which is a testament to Gabrielle and the whole environment. Can't say enough- super happy and highly recommend for others.â

About: I have a companion of my own, tenji, and I use to have a beautiful pitty, so I understand how hard it may be to find a trustworthy pet sitters who will take good care of your furry friends. But have trust in me and my little home to look after your furry buddies while you work, go to important meetings or spend the day to yourself, either or, so I hope to see new faces! I currently working part time, but my boyfriend, who has experience in rover as well, will be home, when Iâm not around, as he works morning and I work nights, a perfect balance to make sure your friends arenât alone day and night. When it comes to having a new introductions I would separate or cage them and allow them to get to know each other and get use to each others presences, I had no issues in the past doing so and it leaves dogs who have not socialized before, leave with new friends and a busy day of playing

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Mauldin
Thank you for watching Shadow even with all of his idiosyncrasies! We really appreciated the chance for a meet and greet beforehand and we thought things went really well overall. He was exhausted from the excitement, but it was good. We were very relaxed about him being in your care and that let us focus on our other demands that day. We would love to have him stay with you again.

Think of doggy day care as your dogâs fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0â7 kilograms and/or 7â18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pupâs socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dogâs pack, check the sitterâs profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
