“Jessica has been a wonderful care taker for our golden retriever! She takes her on walks around the neighborhood and sends us great updates while we are at work so we know she is doing great!”

“Valissa is amazing with Gunner. She put this nervous dog mom at ease with my first trip overnight with Gunner not going and staying by himself. She kept in touch with pictures and texts. I highly recommend her.”

About: My name is Sarah, and I have recently moved to South Carolina from the UK with my family and my beloved 10 year old cat Vader. Although I have never owned a dog I have cared for friends and family members dogs in the past. I enjoy taking them on walks and playing with them ensuring that they get the exercise and stimulation that they need and lots of cuddles for they ones that want it. Having worked in the care industry for 20 years, I am extremely caring, honest and trustworthy and would love the opportunity to care for your fur babies. I am a stay at home parent so I have plenty of spare time around the school run so am flexible to meet the care needs. I don’t currently board pets in my own home, but will ensure all instructions are followed to make sure your pet feels safe and loved in their own environment. Happy to take for a walk and play with.
About: I have been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up caring for a wide variety of pets including dogs, cats, and more. While I love all animals, most of my hands on experience is with dogs and cats, especially medium to extra large breeds. But I have experience with all types, and all are welcome in my home. I am very understand of their needs, routines, and energy levels. I also have experience with PMR style raw feeding and am happy to follow your dog’s specific feeding instructions closely. My home is set up with pets in mind. I have a decent sized yard for outdoor time, along with a doggy door for easy access to potty breaks. The doggy door can be closed if needed. My yard is fully fenced with a 4 foot fence and secure latching gates, so it is a good enclosure but we will go over the height when you get here. Inside the home, dogs are welcome on the couches right alongside the humans. They are also allowed on the beds as we have 3 bedrooms and they can choose where they want to stay at night so they are completely comfortable. I am comfortable administering oral medications and following care instructions for pets who need extra support, including seniors, although I do not offer injectable medications. But if that is necessary we will discuss that further. To ensure each pet gets plenty of attention and personalized care, I host a maximum of 2 to 3 dogs at a time from different homes depending on how well they get along, or 3 to 4 from the same home. If you dog does not get along with others please inform me that you need your dog to be the only one in my home during stay and I will plan accordingly. My goal is to provide a calm, loving, home away from home where your pet feels safe, comfortable, and truly cared for while you are away. I truly love dogs and use positive reinforcement to create a safe, comforting environment that helps ease the stress of being away from their humans. I currently work at home and do not need to leave very often. My work is mostly hands off so most of my attention can go to the dogs needs. I will also be able to walk them often if weather permits. My yard is great for running around and I will go out there and play with them a few times a day. I am bonded and insured beyond Rover's insurance alone with Pet Care Insurance. I will offer a loving greeting and give them what they need when their family is gone. I will be able to administer medicine if necessary. I will be able to stay for a while at their home but I prefer the to come to my home as it will be easier for me to make sure they are well cared for. I will feed on their schedule and make sure food bowls are clean and water is always available. I am able to feed raw and PMR raw diets as well as any other diet type.

About: I’ve had a dog and 3 cats growing up. I am constantly around dogs and they all love me. My friends and neighbors have trusted to watch their animals when they are away. I just graduated college and looking for a fun job for over the summer! I have lots of free time so I am available to help with your animals whenever you need! I have one cat at home but he’s not the biggest fan of new animals. I love playing with animals and making sure they use most of the energy.
“Caleigh was great! She was punctual and communicates well! She had to come for a midday walk and kept the midday heat in mind while walking our fluffy dog who can get hot easily. Would definitely recommend Caleigh!”

About: I had 3 different Lab Retrievers from pups to their senior years in my early teens to late 20s. I have a 2 yr old German Shepherd now. I work from home so he gets plenty of love and attention. As your dog stays with me they will get the same level of care as my 4 legged family members. We start everyday with his favorite fetch games to get some energy out. Once he calms down he gets breakfast, a short walk, then a long nap on one of his many beds around the house or a doormat. During each day he gets more fetch, structured play, and training, all followed by short naps. I have a small fenced in yard with plenty of fields for play and sidewalks to walk around my house. My dog's days are structured to keep him happy and healthy. I make sure his meals are scheduled so he isn't at risk for bloat (GDV).

“Brigitte couldn’t be a better match for My pup Dax and I. She is so patient and gentle with my dog who is a new learning puppy and puts my mind at ease by giving detailed reviews of his walk, toileting and activities while I’m away working. She has experience with animals and it shows. We couldn’t be more happy and hope to continue to use her on a regular basis.”

“Lee took great care of our older dog. He is easy to work with, reliable, communicative, and responsive. We’ve used Lee before and will continue to do so. Highly recommended.”

About: I am a retired teacher with a love for animals. I am comfortable with any size dog and am experienced in giving medicines and injections if needed. I have a very flexible schedule and would love to care for your fur babies. I am retired so my schedule is flexible. I don't mind making multiple visits within a day. I can follow whatever directions you give me. I treat guests like my own pets. In my house, they have free reign. Outside, we must be leashed unless inside the pool fence. If dogs like to swim, they can.
“Gabrielle is amazing. She is kind and easy going. She is very attentive to the needs of the dog and their owner! I trust Gabby whole heartedly and she does a great job of updating/sharing her visit. Gabby is timely, always available with questions or updates, and I love working with her. So does waffles!”

“Holly was great. She was able to take care of Pylot with a last minute request. She was very easy to work with. Stayed in contact with us. She gave us very detailed information and pictures of her time with our dog. I would recommend her and will absolutely use her again.”

About: Animals have been a major part of my family my whole life. I love all animals, but have a special place in my heart for large breeds & senior animals. Over 20 yrs my brother & his family have a farm & dog kennel. Then they opened an animal rescue where animals scheduled to be put down w/out a home they’d take in & their charity found forever homes for them. I was blessed to learn from some really amazing animal experts from trainers to behaviors specialists. I then got married & started my own family, which includes 2 Great Danes. I started my own business a few years ago & was able to leave my full time job. I am now a consultant for the field I was previously in. This allows me have a very flexible schedule & much of my work is done remotely. This allows me the time to be there for your pet(s). I offer a variety of pet care options for you to choose from and allow you to customize the perfect plan for your pet & from your own home. 💕

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Mauldin
Diana looked after my senior dog with great attention and exercise on midday walks. She used the app which told me when the walks started snd ended, the route, time, and distance. She let me know the important details from the walk, made sure Cali had water and even cleaned her food bowl when needed! Many photos each day were so much appreciated. I am extremely satisfied with Disna’s work and will not hesitate to call on her again. Highly recommend!

Natalie was fantastic! While we were away, she came and took good care of our fur babies! She was prompt, caring, and attentive to our pups! You could tell our dogs loved having her come over! We have a Ring camera downstairs and could see how well she treated them and how happy our pups were to see her every day. Best of all, we came home to a mess-free home with two healthy, happy, pups!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
