“Alyson walked our 2 dogs while we were away for the week. She was always on time, walked them a long distance and provided us with a detailed overview. Highly recommend and can’t wait to use her again.”

“Deborah was available for a same-day request & communicated well! She sent several pictures from the walks. I would use her again in the future if Winter needs another walk while I’m away.”

“Cody was great! He was pretty flexible and helped with my pets for a little over a week without knowing them other than a quick greet and meet. He sent plenty of pictures and updates and this helped a ton while being away from my doggies. Thank you so much”

“Jay has been absolutely excellent with our puppy. He is extremely reliable, courteous, and prompt with communication. I cannot recommend him enough to any fellow pet owners! Thanks, Jay!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 10 years and truly love spending time with pets of all ages and personalities. I grew up helping care for our neighbors’ dogs and have continued providing dog sitting, drop-in visits, walks, and overnight stays for friends and family over the years. While attending the University of Cincinnati, I volunteered with Cincinnati Animal CARE, where I walked dogs, cared for cats, and helped provide enrichment and attention to shelter animals. That experience taught me how to work with pets that have different temperaments, energy levels, and needs while always remaining patient and attentive. I’m also a proud cat owner. My cat, Maverick, is definitely the most spoiled cat you’ll ever meet, so I understand how important it is to find someone who will care for your pet with the same love and attention you do. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I enjoy building my schedule around the pets I’m caring for. Whether it’s morning walks, afternoon check-ins, evening feedings, overnight stays, or weekend care, I’m committed to being dependable and making sure each pet receives the time, attention, exercise, and affection they deserve. I believe consistency is important, so I always do my best to keep pets on their normal routine. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, feeding schedule, exercise needs, medications (if needed), and any special instructions before every visit. I provide plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and affection while making sure pets always have fresh water and a clean, comfortable environment. I also love sending photo and video updates so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and in good hands. I treat every home with respect and every pet as if they were my own.
“Skylar was a huge help when I needed a dog walker the very next day due. She was quick to reply, asked all the necessary questions and was very easy to communicate with. Thank you so much! Hope to use you again soon :)”

“She was great on short notice while we were at a hotel and they loved her! She came in and got to know them then they loving body slammed her everyday on arrival they were so excited!”

“Athena took wonderful care of our young dog Lelo. She was incredibly kind and attentive, taking her on lovely walks to the park and making sure she felt comfortable and happy the entire time. We truly appreciate her care and dedication and are very grateful for the great experience. We can highly recommend Athena and would trust her again anytime!”

About: I have taken care of pets ever since I can remember. I always had at least one cat in my household growing up. My parents and neighbors have trusted me to take care of their fur babies ever since I was in middle school. My two Siberian cats that I have require a lot of attention, treats and play time, and I can’t wait to also take care of yours! I work from home so I am very flexible during the week and most weekends. I also can take care of your babies in the morning or in the evening. I love playing with my two cats and running them around the house. I will give your fur babies lots of cuddles, love, treats and attention!
“Tonya was awesome. This was our first experience using Rover and leaving our dogs with anyone other than family. Tonya was accommodating on short notice, was responsive and sent pics of the animals to make us feel better. We really appreciate her care of our dogs and attention to our needs as well.”

About: I provide attentive, personalized care for dogs in my dog loving home, with experience ranging from energetic puppies to senior dogs needing extra patience and support. Over the years, I’ve cared for pets for friends, family, Rover clients, and repeat customers who value dependable, high-quality care and thoughtful communication. My experience includes overnight pet sitting, dog walking, administering medication, puppy care, and assisting elderly dogs with specialized routines and comfort needs. I understand that every dog has a different personality, energy level, and schedule, and I pride myself on creating a calm, loving environment where they feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. Whether your dog thrives on long walks and playtime or prefers a slower pace and extra snuggles, I have experience and tailor my care to match their routine and your expectations. My wife and I both work jobs that give us a lot of flexibility during the days! This makes us the perfect home for your pup, we are always around to play, provide care, and let out for potty breaks! Your dog will have more attention than they know what to do with! We feed twice a day, unless otherwise specified. We also walk all dogs every evening. Add on a bath time, and we will pamper your pup before bed! I have a beautiful apartment with a big yard for your pup to play in on our biiiiiiiggggg leash since the yard isn’t fenced in! We allow dogs on the furniture unless that’s a no no for you! We have two dogs who are gentle and playful, so they will wear your pup out and provide a lot of entertainment and companionship during their stay. We can crate your dog if you like, or we can leave them to explore!

“Kennedy was wonderful to work with. We booked her a bit last minute and she was able to make it work. She was very communicative and while we didn’t have a chance to meet in person I felt very comfortable having her walk my dog, Brewer, who is truly my favorite creature in the world. I will definitely be booking with Kennedy in the future. Thank you!!”

About: I’ve had a lifelong love for animals and hands on experience. I worked at Noble Dog Hotel for over a year and have been caring for my own pup, Roo, for the past three years. I have also spent the past 4 years pet sitting and dog walking for private clients and friends. I can help with basic training for dogs young and old, I believe no dog is past the point of learning a new trick or two. I can also follow any kind of schedule you set as far as feeding, walking, and naps/bedtime. A typical day with me is packed with physical exercise and mental stimulation! We’ll head out to explore local parks and enjoy long, sniff-heavy walks to let them catch all the neighborhood scents. Back at home, I love keeping pups engaged with fun games and play time. I always make sure to balance the high-energy fun with plenty of dedicated downtime, cozy naps, and belly rubs so your dog feels completely content and relaxed. Please let me know about your dog's unique personality, daily quirks, and any specific behavioral needs or triggers (like reactivity on leash or fear of loud noises). I use positive reinforcement methods, so knowing what motivates them most whether it’s a favorite treat, a specific toy, or physical praise helps me set them up for success. I’m also fully comfortable managing strict medication schedules, dietary restrictions, and specific household boundaries.
About: Work from home and previously a 7 year dog mom. Love to take pups on as long of a walk as they need and make sure they are happy. I work from home in a downtown apartment so I can come over to check on or walk your dogs whenever you need me to. I can check on or walk your dogs in their home where they are most comfortable. If you will be gone a long time and want them to hang at my apartment with me, we can arrange for that.
“Morgan is AMAZING! One of the best walkers I have ever had. My pup adores her. Morgan sends multiple pictures throughout her walk to let me know when she arrives and when she leaves. She is super reliable. She is great about letting me know her availability ahead of time. We love Morgan! Would recommend her to anyone.”

About: I have a Goldendoodle who is 2.5 years and old with LOTS of energy, so I have experience with caring for large, high-energy dogs. I love all animals and grew up in a home with 4-5 cats at a time. I’ve dog sat for family members for up to a full week, multiple times and with multiple dogs at a time. I’m available for weekend walks and drop in visits! I love dogs and cats and am more than happy to help with either! I’m available on weekends for dog walks or for drop-ins throughout the day. Over the weekends, I’m also available for drop-ins and pet sitting. I currently only offer drop-in visits, not overnight. I will gladly provide as many walks or as much play time as requested. I am very concerned with making sure your pet is comfortable and like to stick to their routine as much as possible. I also have experience providing medication from owning my dog, Henry.
About: Hi! My name is Carrington, and I’m a 28-year-old animal lover. I have 2 rescue dogs of my own and 1 cat! I’ve been dog-sitting for nearly 12 years and treat every animal like my own! I work in real estate/finance for a 1031 exchange company, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to accommodate last-minute requests. While it can be difficult for me to commit to weekly walks (since I let boarding dogs out at lunch and walk dogs staying with me during my lunch break), I’m always available for random drop-ins and walks! I have two dogs who LOVE playing with other dogs. I offer daily visits, potty breaks, baths, nail trims, dog park trips, walks, pet taxi services, overnight stays, and around-the-clock care. Whether your pup wants to play nonstop fetch and frisbee or simply sunbathe in the yard and relax, I’m happy to match their energy. No matter the size of your best friend, I’m confident I can provide a safe, fun, and loving experience for your furry family member. Please feel free to reach out with any questions — I look forward to meeting your best friend! I work full time for a 1031 company and have a very flexible schedule for potty breaks! If I have events such as concerts on the weekends, I let the owner know when they want to book with me! I send plenty of pictures to keep you updated on how your best friend is doing while you’re away so you know they’re in the best hands possible!

Kennedy was wonderful to work with. We booked her a bit last minute and she was able to make it work. She was very communicative and while we didn’t have a chance to meet in person I felt very comfortable having her walk my dog, Brewer, who is truly my favorite creature in the world. My regular pet sitter was out for several weeks, and I needed to find a temporary sitter— Chaniel was awesome! My black lab (older a quite stubborn!) did great on daily walks with Chaniel. She is great at communication and always kept me updated with pictures. Will definitely ask her to care for Charlie next time the need arises!
Alyssa was a wonderful Dog Walker for our very active dog, Ginger. She was attentive to details and was great with knowing what to do after asking a few questions. She took the time to warm up to her and a great job with taking pictures and letting us know how the walk went. We’ll definitely be using Alyssa again!

Athena took wonderful care of our young dog Lelo. She was incredibly kind and attentive, taking her on lovely walks to the park and making sure she felt comfortable and happy the entire time. We truly appreciate her care and dedication and are very grateful for the great experience. We can highly recommend Athena and would trust her again anytime!

Ana came to visit the day before to meet and took the time to understand what was needed to walk Max & Mazy. She took extra time to chat and we could tell she obviously loves animals and is trustworthy. Mazy is a new member of the family and was just adopted, so full of energy. She gave feedback on a couple of small issues as Mazy managed to escape her kennel after we left and had caused a little havoc. All went as smooth as possible, given a little craziness.

This was our first experience using Rover and couldn't have been more pleased with Megan. Our little guy seemed to love her and she sent pictures during each of her walks with him. She was super responsive to texts and I felt completely comfortable leaving for the day knowing she was coming to walk him and check in on him several times. Will definitely use her again if we ever come back to Greenville!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
