“Harriette was great with my very sensitive, very vocal pomchi! I received updates and she did everything I asked her to do. I’m extremely picky with my baby and I felt confident with him in her care. Will book again and again!”

“Jana has been great to work with, all the more so given that our dog is a rescue who was abandoned and suffers from an abandonment complex, albeit less so since getting Jana's guidance. We highly recommend Jana, especially so if you also have a dog with similar issues.”

“Jay always goes above and beyond. When I told him my dog had been sick he showed extra care. He is so dependable and my dog looks forward to seeing him time and time again.”

About: I’ve owned big and small dogs! From a pit bull to a terrier. Took care of my susy girl for 10 years, she was diabetic so i am experienced with medication and injections. I am a student and work full time in the afternoons but I am free every Thursday and Fridays! and Sunday to Wednesday from 11-2pm. I can drop by or dog sit. I have one small friendly terrier who lives inside and is welcoming to all pets. 4 friendly cats. Fenced yard! Furniture friendly to all fur babies
About: I grew up on a small farm, so have been taking care of animals essentially since birth. I have had anything from dogs and cats, to horses and chickens. All dogs and cats have been inside animals, with a good many of them being rescued or fostered. I am currently a self employed stay at home ceramic artist. I have two loving and spoiled miniature schnauzers, who are 5 and 6 years old. They spend every waking moment with me, even having their own space while I work. I have two friendly and non reactive miniature schnauzers. Dog safe, fenced in yard with security cameras in every corner. Daily walks around West Village, when the pavement temperature allows. I am home 99% of the time, but dogs are crated when I need to run errands, both for their safety and peace of mind.
“Cherie is absolutely amazing. I can’t say enough about how wonderful she is with my pups! She sends awesome communication and pictures with each visit. Cherie makes sure their water is full, kennel area is clean and treats are given. She goes above and beyond when walking, playing and loving my pups! They are so happy when I get home! We would be lost without her!!”

“I wish I could tip more! Both times she has taken great care of Butler. She’s done all that we’ve asked and more! She’s a great photographer also. Always has great pictures of their time together.”
“Tonya was awesome. This was our first experience using Rover and leaving our dogs with anyone other than family. Tonya was accommodating on short notice, was responsive and sent pics of the animals to make us feel better. We really appreciate her care of our dogs and attention to our needs as well.”

About: I have been a multidog household for the last 20 years, typically 3 dogs at a time. I have had puppies to seniors in our care and am able to manage multiple needs in the same house. I am currently not working as my family and I settle into South Carolina so my schedule is more than flexible to meet your needs. I am happy to come to your house to play, feed, walk and interact with your pet. I thoroughly enjoy telling them all about my day and love when they "talk" back!
“Deborah was available for a same-day request & communicated well! She sent several pictures from the walks. I would use her again in the future if Winter needs another walk while I’m away.”

“Skylar was a huge help when I needed a dog walker the very next day due. She was quick to reply, asked all the necessary questions and was very easy to communicate with. Thank you so much! Hope to use you again soon :)”

“Kennedy was wonderful to work with. We booked her a bit last minute and she was able to make it work. She was very communicative and while we didn’t have a chance to meet in person I felt very comfortable having her walk my dog, Brewer, who is truly my favorite creature in the world. I will definitely be booking with Kennedy in the future. Thank you!!”

“She was great on short notice while we were at a hotel and they loved her! She came in and got to know them then they loving body slammed her everyday on arrival they were so excited!”

“Brooke was amazing!! She came to walk Tela within a half hour of my request and get her great exercise! Would definitely recommend her and will be rebooking with Brooke very soon! Thanks for taking such great care of my puppy!”
About: My love of dogs came when I was four years old. It took me only five years to convince my father that I could handle a dog and that was the beginning. I have always adopted from a shelter and have even adopted to re-home dogs who were to be euthanized. I currently have a Duck Tolling Retriever who likes to sleep more than play. She is my love but I want to be able to play with your lonely dog too! I joined Rover.com because I enjoy walking and playing with dogs on a regular basis. My professional experience includes working in a Vererinarian's office in high school and dog walking/sitting recently. I have experience walking, bathing, feeding specialty diets and sick animals, as well as administering medications, including IV's. I truly love all dogs and I am so excited to make this passion a career. I am available Monday through Friday, all day, from first thing in the morning through evening. I can help with weekly dog walking, drop ins for dogs or cats, playtime, or feedings. I believe that the clients schedule and routine is the most important for the animals and I will file that. I always let my clients know when I have arrived and when I’m leaving and at least one picture to let them know that their pets are taken very well care of.
About: Hello! I’m a rather large fellow able to handle and care for dogs otherwise intimidating or strong. But, the apple of my eye in my home is a chihuahua-jack Russell mix that I just adore, so I’m good for all your pet needs! I found my passion for animal care freshman year of college when doing volunteer work at a Seneca animal shelter. The vet and I still keep in touch to this day. I’ve adopted my fair share of dogs and cats, most being large breed and Siamese. Pit Bulls, German Shepherds, and Labrador Retrievers. Each one has led a healthy and fulfilling life in my care, not to mention being very athletic and well trained. Tell your pup or feline they’re going to see Beau today and watch them wag and purr!
About: What sets me apart is my genuine love for animals and my commitment to providing personalized care for each pet. I have experience with a wide range of animals, from playful puppies to senior pets needing gentle attention. Additionally, I'm comfortable and experienced in administering medications and providing specialized care for senior pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being. With me, your pet will receive lots of love, attention, and the best possible care! Pet care is a central part of my daily and weekly routine. Each day begins with letting my dogs out to go potty and then feeding them along with my cat! Throughout the day, I dedicate time for additional walks, playtime, and cuddles, ensuring they get plenty of attention and exercise. In the evenings, it's all about winding down with a final walk, dinner, and cozy time before bed. Weekly, I ensure that all pet areas are thoroughly cleaned and that I have an ample supply of food and other essentials. I will be sure to allocate these same values and habits while taking care of your fur babies! When caring for pets in my client's home, I always respect their space and follow their specific instructions to the letter. I maintain their pet's regular feeding and exercise schedule, ensuring they feel secure and comfortable in their familiar environment. I'm happy to provide walks, playtime, and lots of attention, as well as administer any necessary medications. I also take care of basic tasks like cleaning litter boxes or pet messes, and I always send detailed updates and photos to keep pet parents informed and reassured.

My regular pet sitter was out for several weeks, and I needed to find a temporary sitter— Chaniel was awesome! My black lab (older a quite stubborn!) did great on daily walks with Chaniel. She is great at communication and always kept me updated with pictures. Will definitely ask her to care for Charlie next time the need arises!
Alyssa was a wonderful Dog Walker for our very active dog, Ginger. She was attentive to details and was great with knowing what to do after asking a few questions. She took the time to warm up to her and a great job with taking pictures and letting us know how the walk went. We’ll definitely be using Alyssa again!

Athena took wonderful care of our young dog Lelo. She was incredibly kind and attentive, taking her on lovely walks to the park and making sure she felt comfortable and happy the entire time. We truly appreciate her care and dedication and are very grateful for the great experience. We can highly recommend Athena and would trust her again anytime!

This was our first experience using Rover and couldn't have been more pleased with Megan. Our little guy seemed to love her and she sent pictures during each of her walks with him. She was super responsive to texts and I felt completely comfortable leaving for the day knowing she was coming to walk him and check in on him several times. Will definitely use her again if we ever come back to Greenville!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
