About: Hi! I’m Kennedy, a 26-year-old animal lover who has grown up surrounded by pets my entire life—from dogs and cats to hamsters and birds. Caring for animals has always been a natural part of who I am. Over the years, I’ve also helped care for and pet sit for friends, family members, and neighbors, giving me experience with pets of different personalities, sizes, and needs. I now have a dog of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family member. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, belly rubs, or simply keeping your pet company, I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and making them feel loved and comfortable while you’re away. I’ve always believed that dogs are one of God’s greatest gifts. They bring so much joy, loyalty, and unconditional love into our lives, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I would love the opportunity to care for your pet and give you peace of mind while you’re away! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability throughout the week. This allows me to give pets the time, attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or simply keeping them company, I enjoy making pets a part of my day and ensuring they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my priority is always safety, trust, and maintaining their normal routine. I make sure to follow all instructions exactly as provided, whether that’s feeding schedules, walk routines, medications, or house rules. I’m very attentive to keeping pets safe on walks and in the home, making sure doors and gates are secure at all times. I also take time to understand each pet’s personality so I can make them feel comfortable, calm, and cared for while their owner is away. I treat every home with respect and keep everything clean and in order, so you can feel confident your pet (and your space) are in good hands.
“Deborah was available for a same-day request & communicated well! She sent several pictures from the walks. I would use her again in the future if Winter needs another walk while I’m away.”

“I was very thankful to Miriam for coming on short notice after my other walker couldn’t. She was very nice to my pups, on time for their walks, and very communicative. I would totally book her again.”

“Tonya was awesome. This was our first experience using Rover and leaving our dogs with anyone other than family. Tonya was accommodating on short notice, was responsive and sent pics of the animals to make us feel better. We really appreciate her care of our dogs and attention to our needs as well.”
About: I grew up with pets in the home. I had cats, dogs and bunnies. I’ve also cared for a snake and a guinea pig. I love animals, and I’m a clean person and that shows in me cleaning up after pets. I’ve had experience helping train dogs and puppies. I’ve nursed abandoned kittens back to health and usually connect well with animals. I’ll treat them like they are my own. I currently work a job where I have varying availability depending on the day but mostly free in the mornings and I am free on weekends depending on the day, happy to provide my schedule for the day or week if needed! I can spend a dedicated amount of time playing with your pet when I am there. I also enjoy being outdoors so long walks with your pet work great for me. I also have a clean pet friendly apartment and can board your pet while you are gone or come to your home while you are gone. I follow instructions well on how you would like your pet cared for. I have multiple walking locations to take your pet on long walks. If you send a crate I can crate your pet if you prefer. I can be up early or late if your pet is used to a certain feeding schedule.
About: Hello! I have had dogs and cats my entire life and currently have 4 of my own (2 dogs, 2 cats). I also own a pet portrait business and adore all things dogs and cats in general. I will treat yours as if they are my own and give them all the love and attention they could want while you’re away. I know how scary it can be to leave your most loved babies in the care of someone else. I am available for walks, drop in visits, and overnight stays in your home. I work remotely and have a very flexible schedule and look forward giving your pet all the love. My goal is to keep your pets happy and content while you’re away. During our meet and greet, you can let me know what they like to do and what their routine looks like and I will make sure to follow that while they’re in my care.
“I highly recommend Shea to help with your pet when you’re away. I hired her to walk my dog Buster while I am at work. She genuinely loves my dog and enjoys walking him. Sometimes she brings her fur baby along and Buster loves the company. She always showers Buster with love and makes sure he has food and water before leaving. She even feeds the cats that I leave food for outside without being asked. Your pet will thank you if you hire Shea!”

About: I have a small corgi and he’s always looking to make new friends! Available most evenings and weekends for anything your pet needs! Open to walks, drop ins, and house sitting. My schedule is a bit tight these coming weeks as I graduate on May 10. Afterwards I will have more openings but feel free to message me and ask about any possible inquiries! I am very respectful of other people’s homes. I realize that this is a safe space for you and your pets and do my best to maintain that. I do believe that you should always leave a place better than what you found it so I am very careful to pickup after myself and the pets to ensure you have a satisfactory return home!
“Morgan is AMAZING! One of the best walkers I have ever had. My pup adores her. Morgan sends multiple pictures throughout her walk to let me know when she arrives and when she leaves. She is super reliable. She is great about letting me know her availability ahead of time. We love Morgan! Would recommend her to anyone.”

About: I have taken care of dogs of all sizes, for the last 10 years! I have taken care of family and friends fur babies from brushing them, feeding and taking them on walks. I have a huge heart for animals! I truly want to help families take care of their fur babies by taking something off of their plate. In this case, taking their doggies out on a walk so they can get some energy out and allowing them to enjoy the fresh air! So the adults can focus on work or hanging out with their kiddos (if they have any) during the day. Life can become super active and having someone come in and help out is exactly what I want to do! I have a part time fully remote job so my days are very flexible, morning walks or mid day walks to get some of their energy out is perfect for how my day is structured. I have a fenced in backyard with a lot of room to run around, if ever I need to bring you dog to my house!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Willow Heights
Ana came to visit the day before to meet and took the time to understand what was needed to walk Max & Mazy. She took extra time to chat and we could tell she obviously loves animals and is trustworthy. Mazy is a new member of the family and was just adopted, so full of energy. She gave feedback on a couple of small issues as Mazy managed to escape her kennel after we left and had caused a little havoc. All went as smooth as possible, given a little craziness.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
